Government Law College Thrissur, also known as Thrissur Law College (Malayalam: തൃശ്ശൂർ ലോ കോളേജ്), is situated in Ayyanthole. It is the fourth Government law college in Kerala and is owned by the Government of Kerala and affiliated to University of Calicut. The college caters to the needs of Thrissur District, Palakkad District and Malappuram District of Kerala. The College was started in the year 1992. Approved by Bar Council of India (BCI), New Delhi, the college offers three-year undergraduate and five-year integrated programs in the field of law and postgraduate degree also. The first batch of Law Graduates came out in 1993-94 academic year.

The Westfort Hospital is a 250-bed hospital in Thrissur, Kerala, India. The hospital was founded in 1989. It was the first private hospital in Thrissur to establish a Trauma Unit with neurology and neurosurgical facilities, a spiral C.T. Scan Unit, a nephrology unit, a nuclear medicine department and a bone densitometer in orthopaedics. Hospital services include renal transplantation. The hospital is located near to the Thrissur and Punkunnam railway stations, the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation, and the private bus stand.

The convention centre is spread across an area of 18 acres (73,000 m2) with a built-up area of 160,000 square feet (15,000 m2) and has been divided into both indoor hall and open-air auditorium, with dining facility for 2,000 guests at a time. The convention center has 5 venues for conferences, which can accommodate from 450 to 2,200 people. A 5-star Hotel (the Garden Hotel) is also present on the site. It features an amazing parking for 1800 cars and also has an exclusive Helipad.

Hari Sri Vidya Nidhi School (HSVNS) is a private co-educational school in Thrissur, Kerala, India. It offers classes from kindergarten to junior college. The kindergarten school is conducted at the Hari Sri Nursery School near the main campus. Hari Sri Vidya Nidhi School was founded in 1978 by Nalini Chandran who was also the school's first principal. Thrissur-Ponnani Kole Wetlands (Malayalam: തൃശൂർ-പൊന്നാനി കോൾ പാടങ്ങൾ) is a wetland lying in Thrissur and Malappuram districts in Kerala, India. It gives 40 per cent of the Kerala’s rice requirement and acts as a natural drainage system for Ponnani city, Thrissur city, Thrissur District, and Malappuram district. The Kole Wetlands is one of largest, highly productive and threatened wetlands in Kerala and it comes in Central Asian Flyway of migratory birds.

Punkunnam is a commercial and residential area in Thrissur city of Kerala in India. It is 2 km away from the Swaraj Round. Punkunnam is home to the renowned Punkunnam Siva Temple. The Sitaram Textiles is situated here. It was established in Punkunnam by TR Ramachandra Iyer in the early 1940s. The spinning wing has the capacity of 12,000 spindles. The mill also has a capacity to process 40,000 meters of cloth every day. Poonkunnam Railway Station provides rail connectivity to other parts of Kerala and India. Punkunnam Seetha Ramaswamy Temple more commonly called as 'Pushpagiri Seeta Ramaswamy temple' is located in the Pushpagiri agraharam of Punkunnam, Thrissur City of Kerala, India. The temple is one of the unique temples dedicated to Lord Rama where both Rama and Seeta share the same pedestal in the sanctum sanctorum. The other temple that comes to mind here is the Bhadrachala Rama temple. However there Seeta is seen sitting on Rama's lap. Here the vigraha of Rama and Seeta are different but placed on the same pedestal. The garbhagriha is visible from the dhvajastambha itself. However when viewing from the dhvajastamba, only Rama can be seen, the vigraha of Seeta placed inwards towards Rama's left. The temple also houses sannidhis for Lakshmana (called Ilaya Perumal) and Hanuman. In the temple complex, we also find separate temples for Ayyappan and Lord Shiva. In fact, the Shiva temple and the temple pond in front of it are much ancient than the Rama temple itself. Diwan Bahadur T. R. Ramachandra Iyer, a justice in the Cochin Court, constructed this temple for his Ishta devata and the Kumbhabhishekam was held on 13 June 1895. Even till date, the members belonging to this family are entrusted the responsibility of conducting the Seeta-Kalyana Utsavam during the Rama Navami celebrations. To this place belong notable people such as the Kalyan Group business family, well known carnatic musicians Vidwans Srikrishna Mohan and Ramkumar Mohan popularly called Trichur Brothers, their father Mridangam Vidwan Shri Trichur R Mohan and many others.

Punkunnam Shiva Temple, located in Punkunnam in Thrissur of Kerala. This temple is a classic example of the Kerala style of architecture. The main deity is Shiva. Parvathy, Ganapathy, Sastha, Nagaraja and Partha Sarathi (Lord Krishna as Charioteer to Arjuna-പാര്‍ത്ഥ സാരഥി) are other sub deities(ഉപദേവത). The Ganeshotsavam is celebrating in grand style.
