Cape Henry Collegiate (formerly Cape Henry Collegiate School, also known as Cape Henry or CHC) is a private, college-preparatory, coeducational, day school located in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

First Colonial High School is a high school in Virginia Beach, Virginia. It is a part of the Virginia Beach City Public Schools.

Shirley Hall, also known as Devereaux House, is a historic home located at Virginia Beach, Virginia. It was built in 1940, and is a two-story, five bay, Georgian Revival style brick dwelling. The main block is covered by a hipped roof with balustrade. A gambrel roofed service wing connects the main block to a hipped roofed garage. The interior features an entrance hall with an original Virginia staircase, removed from the Hunter House in Princess Anne County (c. 1826). The house is set in a park like setting among mature hardwood trees and American hollies.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1999.

Briarwood, also known as Bingham House, is a historic home located at Virginia Beach, Virginia. It was built in 1932, and is a two-story, 6,000 square foot, Tudor Revival style brick dwelling. It features steeply pitched gabled and hipped roof elements clad in historic slate shingles as well as three corbelled brick chimneys.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2012.

First Landing State Park (formerly Seashore State Park) offers recreational opportunities at Cape Henry in the independent city of Virginia Beach, Virginia. As the first planned state park of Virginia, First Landing is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as Seashore State Park Historic District. A portion of the park is listed as a National Natural Landmark as part of the Seashore Natural Area. The state park is near the site of the first landing on April 26, 1607 of Christopher Newport and the Virginia Company colonists before establishing themselves at Jamestown. The park includes cabins, areas for camping, fishing, and swimming, a public beach, and over 19 miles (31 km) of trails for hiking and biking. Virginia's most popular state park, it's visited by over a million people each year. Its main entrance is located on Shore Drive across from the beach camping entrance. First Landing State Park charges a fee for its camping facilities and for the overnight use of its cabins. Originally built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s, First Landing State Park is located on the Chesapeake Bay. The park, which is Virginia's most visited state park, is nestled in Virginia Beach. First Landing offers boating, swimming, nature and history programs, hiking, biking, picnicking, a boat launch, cabins and 19 miles (31 km) of trails on 2,888 acres (11.69 km2). It also has campsites that have water and electric hook-ups and nearby access to restrooms and showers. The park's name was changed in 1997 from Seashore State Park to First Landing State Park to reflect its heritage as the first place where members of the Virginia Company landed (though its former name is still commonly used by Tidewater locals).

Broad Bay Manor in Virginia Beach is a historic manor house which is purportedly the oldest extant European-built house in the southeastern United States. Thomas Allen built the small center portion of the current larger house in circa 1640 of Flemish bond brick on land granted to him by Governor Thomas West, 3rd Baron De La Warr or his brother John West. It is still a private residence and is located in the Broad Bay Colony part of northeastern Virginia Beach

Dr. John Miller-Masury House, also known as Lakeside (1906–1935), Crystal Club (1935–1939), and Greystone Manor (1942-present), is a historic home located at Virginia Beach, Virginia. It was built in 1906–1908, and is a 2+1⁄2-story, five-bay, L-shaped stone-and-slate dwelling. It is covered by two hipped roofs with dormers, which intersect at a three-story castellated tower. It has a one-story, deep, wraparound porch. From 1936 to 1939, the building housed the Crystal Club, a gambling casino and nightclub.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.

Frank W. Cox High School is a secondary school located in the Great Neck subdivision of Virginia Beach, Virginia. It was founded in 1961 as the Northeast Junior High School, but upon opening, it was named after a former superintendent of Virginia Beach City Public Schools, Frank Woodard Cox, who led the school division from 1933 to 1968. A replacement building, also designated as a primary hurricane shelter, was built nearby, at 2425 Shorehaven Drive. The high school was moved into the new building in the fall of 1983. The original building at 1848 N. Great Neck Road became Great Neck Junior High and then Great Neck Middle School. The original building was demolished in 2012.

The Andrew B. Cooke House in Virginia Beach, Virginia, was designed in 1953 and completed in 1959 for Andrew B. & Maude Cooke. Along with the Pope-Leighey House and the Luis Marden House, it is one of three Frank Lloyd Wright designs in Virginia. A variation of Wright's solar hemicycle designs, the Cooke House features yellow-gold brick and a copper, cantilevered roof. In 1983, the original owners sold the house to Daniel and Jane Duhl. The Duhls sold the home for US$2.2 million in 2016 to an unnamed buyer.

Atlantic University is an American private non-profit distance education institution of higher and continuing education in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The university is associated with Edgar Cayce's Association for Research and Enlightenment (A.R.E.), and its administrative offices are in the Don and Nancy de Laski Education Center on the main A.R.E. campus. The university is nationally accredited by the Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC), which is a member of the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), for its distance education and hybrid programs. The Association for Research and Enlightenment (A.R.E.), also known as Edgar Cayce's A.R.E., is a non-profit organization founded in 1931 by clairvoyant Edgar Cayce to explore spirituality, holistic health, and other psychic topics, as well as preserving historical resources, including Cayce’s psychic readings.A.R.E. engages in holistic health services, workshops, conferences and retreats, and publishes materials relating to Edgar Cayce and his teachings. Its headquarters is in Virginia Beach, Virginia, in the United States, and there are reportedly Edgar Cayce Centers in 37 countries.A.R.E founded Atlantic University, which is located in its headquarters, and runs a health center and day spa at its headquarters, along with a school of massage.

Virginia Beach Friends School (VBFS) is an independent life-skills and college preparatory day school founded in 1955 under the care of the Virginia Beach Friends Meeting. Virginia Beach Friends School has more than 100 students enrolled in three divisions – Early School (Cottage, Treehouse, Pre-K and Kindergarten), Lower School (Grades 1-5), and Middle School (Grades 6-8).It formerly operated a high school, but the high school closed in 2021.
