Brooksvale Park

Farmington Canal State Park Trail is a Connecticut state park forming a portion of the Farmington Canal Heritage Trail in the towns of Cheshire and Hamden. The developed section of the trail within state park boundaries runs over 17.0 miles (27.4 km) from Lazy Lane in Southington to Todd Street in Hamden and includes the historic Farmington Canal's restored Lock 12, located south of Brooksvale Road in Cheshire. The paved, multiple-use trail is used for hiking, biking, jogging, in-line skating and cross-country skiing.

WKCI-FM (101.3 MHz) is a commercial radio station broadcasting an adult-leaning Top 40 (CHR) format. Licensed to the suburb of Hamden, Connecticut, it serves New Haven and Hartford. The station is owned by iHeartMedia. The studios are in Radio Towers Park on Benham Street in Hamden, where it shares facilities with sister stations WELI and WAVZ. WKCI-FM transmits a full Class B signal, broadcasting with 12,000 watts from a 915-foot (279 m) tower, the equivalent of 50,000 watts at 500 feet (150 m). The station's transmitter is on Madmare Mountain in Hamden near the WTNH transmitter site (where WKCI-FM formerly transmitted from until moving to its current tower in 2003).Throughout the 1980s, WKCI was an affiliate of Rick Dees Weekly Top 40. WKCI-FM began broadcasts in HD Radio in December 2004. Its HD2 signal airs a mainstream urban format, providing a second option to WZMX, and is simulcast on FM translator W265DB at 100.9 MHz, known as "100.9 The Beat." 100.9 The Beat signed on the air at 12:00 a.m. on June 23, 2015. iHeartMedia, Inc. also owns a talk station in Waynesboro, Virginia which shares the call sign WKCI on AM 970.

Roaring Brook Falls is a waterfall in the southwestern hills of Cheshire, Connecticut in the Northeastern United States. Formed as the eponymous Roaring Brook descends a wooded cliffside on West Mountain, the waterfall is an 80-foot horsetail and ranks as one of the tallest in the state.

Cheshire High School is a comprehensive public high school serving approximately 1,538 students; it is the sole comprehensive high school of Cheshire Public Schools. Located at 525 South Main Street in Cheshire, Connecticut, Cheshire High School is 15 miles (24 km) north of New Haven and 25 miles (40 km) south of Hartford. It is the town's sole public high school. As of 2016, Cheshire High School has approximately 1,538 students, 104 faculty members, six guidance counselors, three assistant principals, and one principal. The school is accredited by the New England Association of Secondary Schools and Colleges.

The Mill River is a river in New Haven County, Connecticut, United States.

Sleeping Giant (also known as the Blue Hills and Mount Carmel), (Hobbomock in Quinnipiac), is a rugged traprock mountain with a high point of 739 feet (225 m), located eight miles (13 km) north of New Haven, Connecticut. A prominent landscape feature visible for miles, the Sleeping Giant receives its name from its anthropomorphic resemblance to a slumbering human figure as seen from either the north or south. The Giant is known for its expansive clifftop vistas, rugged topography, and microclimate ecosystems. Most of the Giant is located within Sleeping Giant State Park. The mountain is a popular recreation site: over 30 miles (48 km) of hiking trails traverse it including 5 miles (8 km) of the 23-mile (37 km) Quinnipiac Trail. Quinnipiac University is located at Mount Carmel's foot in Hamden.

WPLR (99.1 MHz, also known as "99.1 PLR" or Connecticut's #1 Rock Station). licensed to New Haven, Connecticut, is a mainstream rock station owned by Connoisseur Media as of May 10, 2013. The station's playlist includes Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Pearl Jam and modern rock. PLR is a traditional ratings powerhouse in Southern Connecticut, though it provides city-grade coverage to most of the state, including Hartford. The station can also be received in some parts of the Pioneer Valley. The station, which first went on the air in 1948 as WNHC-FM, has a history as a pioneer in the AOR format, with which it has closely identified since its inception in the early 1970s. The physical location of the station has also changed as the studios are now co-located with other Connoisseur radio stations on Wheelers Farms Road in Milford. Previously, the studios were located on Dixwell Avenue in Hamden and prior to that the offices and studios were located on Chapel Street in New Haven. The station's transmitter is on Madmare Mountain in Hamden near the WTNH transmitter site.

The Jonathan Dickerman II House is a historic house museum at 105 Mt. Carmel Avenue in Hamden, Connecticut. Built about 1795 by the grandson of an early settler of the area, it is a well-preserved and unusual example of late Georgian architecture. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. It is now owned and operated by the Hamden Historical Society.

M&T Bank Arena, previously known as TD Bank Sports Center and People's United Center, is a multi-purpose arena in Hamden, Connecticut. Its design is unusual in that it consists of two separate playing and seating areas, one intended for basketball and one intended for ice hockey, joined together within a common facility. It seats 3,570 for basketball and 3,386 for hockey. Officially, the hockey side is known as the Frank Perrotti, Jr. Arena at the People's United Center. The center opened on January 27, 2007, and is home to the Quinnipiac University men's and women's basketball and men's and women's ice hockey teams. It replaced Burt Kahn Court for the basketball team and the Northford Ice Pavilion for ice hockey. It is located on Quinnipiac's York Hill Campus and is part of a large expansion project for that campus.The center cost $52 million to build. Its creation is part of an ambitious plan by Quinnipiac to improve its drawing power for student athletes.

The Orrin Todd House is a historic house at 3369 Whitney Avenue in Hamden, Connecticut. Built about 1800, it is one of the best surviving examples of Federal period architecture in the town. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991. It is presently owned by Quinnipiac University, and was rescued from demolition in 2017.

Burt Kahn Court is a 2,000-seat multi-purpose arena in Hamden, Connecticut. It was the home of the Quinnipiac University Bobcats basketball team from 1969 to 2006 until the TD Bank Sports Center was opened. The Bobcats held a 254–184 record while playing at the facility. It is the current home of Bobcats volleyball. The facility was renovated in 2002, with new scoreboards and a new wood surface being added.The Court is named after Burt Kahn, a former basketball coach and athletic director at Quinnipiac.

The Cheshire Historic District encompasses the historic town center of Cheshire, Connecticut. Centered on the junction of Main Street and Academy Road, the district's architecture is reflective of the town's development over two centuries, and includes many of its civic buildings. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.
