Beaconsfield is a suburb on the Island of Montreal, Quebec, Canada, part of the Greater Montreal region locally referred to as the West Island. It is a prestigious residential community located on the north shore of Lac Saint-Louis, bordered on the west by Baie-D'Urfé, north by Kirkland and east by Pointe-Claire. Incorporated in 1910, named in honour of Benjamin Disraeli, Earl of Beaconsfield, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and close confidant of Queen Victoria, the city's historical roots go back as far as 1698. Beaconsfield, in its current form, was developed as a cottage community by affluent Montreal residents. Over the decades, the city has transformed from summer homes, to year-round residents, and has flourished.The population of Beaconsfield, as of the Canada 2021 Census, is 19,277. While the population is predominantly anglophone, 77% of residents speak both official languages of Canada. Most residents live in single-family homes, though there are residents of townhouses and apartment buildings.

Beaconsfield High School (commonly referred to as Beaconsfield High or BHS) is a secondary school located in the Montreal area suburb of Beaconsfield, Quebec, Canada. Beaconsfield High is part of The Lester B. Pearson School Board. Previously, it was considered to be the flagship high school of the now defunct Lakeshore School Board.First opened in 1958, and renovated and expanded in the 1970s adding a second gymnasium, theatre, and a new cafeteria, library and two new wings, Beaconsfield High School is currently home to more than 600 students. According to the school's website, BHS has "traditionally served the communities of Beaconsfield, Baie d'Urfe, Kirkland and Pointe-Claire. Students from the communities of Ste. Anne de Bellevue, Ile Perrot and Pincourt are now increasingly part of the school population. A high proportion of graduating students goes on to attend CEGEP."Beaconsfield High School also offers strong academic French immersion and regular English programs at all levels, as well as an alternative program known as Embarkations, which is renowned for its successes with disenfranchised youth that started in 1992. Augmenting these course offerings are a wide range of special programs covering visual arts, drama, dance, music, physical education, and computer technology. Beaconsfield High School gives students access to a large variety of sports and e-sports. The school also offers many different after-school clubs including but not limited to the "Dungeons and Dragons" club, the math club, and the manga club.

Pierrefonds (French pronunciation: [pjɛʁfɔ̃], Canadian French: [pjaɛ̯ʁfõ]) is a former city in southwestern Quebec, Canada. It is located along the Rivière des Prairies on the northwestern part of the Island of Montreal (part of what is colloquially called the West Island). It was merged into Montreal on January 1, 2002, and is today part of the borough of Pierrefonds-Roxboro.

Lac-Saint-Louis is a federal electoral district in Quebec, Canada, that has been represented in the House of Commons of Canada since 1997. Its population was 108,579 at the 2016 Canadian Census.

Beaconsfield station is a commuter rail station operated by Exo in Beaconsfield, Quebec, Canada. It is served by the Vaudreuil–Hudson line. As of October 2020, on weekdays, all 11 inbound trains and 12 outbound trains on the line call at this station, with one train each way short turning here. On weekends, all trains (four on Saturday and three on Sunday in each direction) call here.The station platforms are built on an overpass over Saint-Charles Boulevard, north of Autoroute 20. The historic station building is one of just two still serving passengers along this line (the other is Montréal-Ouest); a few more are extant but have been given over to other uses. In particular, a dedicated underpass between the station building and a headhouse links the two platforms. They are also linked by the sidewalks on both sides of Saint-Charles Boulevard and stairways leading from them to the platforms.

Kuper Academy is a private school in Kirkland, Quebec, in the Montreal metropolitan area. As of 2022 is owned by Joan Salette, who also serves as the principal administrator. It has preschool through high school.

Jacques-Cartier is an electoral district in the West Island of Montreal, Canada, that elects members to the National Assembly of Quebec. It is the only provincial electoral district in Quebec with an Anglophone majority. It notably includes the city of Pointe-Claire. Named after Jacques Cartier, the district existed in the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Canada, and its present incarnation dates from the 1867 election. In 2011, district boundaries were redrawn, and part of Kirkland was transferred to Nelligan, in exchange for Senneville.

The National Field of Honour (French: Champ d’honneur national) is a military cemetery for Canadian and Allied Veterans and their loved ones. It is located in Pointe-Claire, Quebec, Canada. It is operated by the Last Post Fund. On June 8, 2007, the National Field of Honour was designated a National Historic Site of Canada.

Beaurepaire station is a commuter rail station operated by operated by Exo in Beaconsfield, Quebec, Canada, located in the Beaurepaire neighborhood. It is served by the Vaudreuil–Hudson line. As of October 2020, on weekdays, 9 of 11 inbound trains and 10 of 12 outbound trains on the line call at this station, the exceptions in both cases being one short turn and one skipped stop. On weekends, all trains (four on Saturday and three on Sunday in each direction) call here.The station is located at the corner of Elm Avenue and Woodland Avenue, north of Autoroute 20. It has two side platforms; access between them is provided by the Woodland Avenue level crossing. The station is equipped with shelters but there is no station building. The first Beaurepaire station, opened by 1902, was located east of Woodland Avenue. It was replaced by the current station, located just east of the original site, by 1972.

The Église Sainte-Geneviève (Church of St. Genevieve) is a parish church located in the former village of Sainte-Geneviève, Québec (now part of Montreal) on the north-west shore of the Island of Montreal overlooking the Rivière des Prairies. Its affiliation is Roman Catholic and it is administered under the Diocese of Montreal by La Paroisse Sainte-Geneviève de Pierrefonds, founded by Antoine Faucon in 1741. Construction of the church, headed by Louis-Marie Lefèvre, was completed in 1844 and was designed by architect Thomas Baillargé.

Fairview forest is a forested area of land located in Pointe Claire on the island of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The area is approximately 50 acres in size and is mostly covered in trees. The property is just west of the Fairview shopping centre, with Highway 40 directly on its southern border. At one time, John Abbott College owned the property.The STM (Société de transport de Montréal) believes the area is a forest and has marked it as such on their map of the island.The current owner of the property is seeking to cut down the forest and make a new urban area. Local residents have formed a group in efforts to stop the destruction of the forest.An online petition has more than 27 thousand signatures in support of saving the forest. The forest can be seen in heat map of the island of Montreal as a relatively cool area.

Angell Woods is an old-growth forest in Beaconsfield, Quebec, Canada. It is bordered by Quebec Autoroute 20 to the south, Quebec Autoroute 40 to the north, an industrial park in Baie-D'Urfé to the west, and a residential subdivision to the east.The Angell Woods are the only remaining old-growth forest as well as the largest wetland on the Island of Montreal.On March 12, 2019 the Quebec Court of Appeal rejected an appeal by Yale Properties Inc. of the decision of Aug. 7, 2017. Aug. 7, 2017, Quebec Superior Court judge Johanne Mainville ruled that Yale Properties had not been able to demonstrate that the bylaw put in place by the Beaconsfield administration had stepped over the line as to be called disguised expropriation.
