Kings County is a member of the New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation. Kings County was named the country's first Level 1 trauma center. New York Congregational Home for the Aged, also known as New York Congregational Center for Community Life, was a historic care facility associated with the Congregational church at 123 Linden Boulevard in Flatbush, Brooklyn, New York, New York. It was a three-story brick institutional building in the Colonial Revival style. It was built in three stages; the center section and east pavilion in 1918, west pavilion in 1921, and west wing in 1927. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2008.In 2017, the main building was demolished and is now the site of PLG Luxury Apartments.

Congregational Church of the Evangel is a historic Congregational church at 1950 Bedford Ave. in Flatbush, Brooklyn, New York, New York. It was built in 1916-1917 and is an asymmetrically massed Late Gothic Revival style building. It is constructed of gray-green random quarry faced ashlar with cast stone trim, a variegated slate roof, copper gutters, and stained and leaded glass windows. The building consists of a nave with steeply pitched gable roof, low sidewall with engaged buttresses, a gabled side porch, a square bell tower, and a small gabled office annex. The chancel's elaborate furnishings and Tiffany glass windows were installed in 1927.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2009.

George W. Wingate High School is a defunct comprehensive high school in the Prospect Lefferts Gardens and Wingate neighborhoods of Brooklyn, New York City. It opened in 1956 and was closed down in June 2006 due to poor academic performance. The school was then divided into four small schools. The school was named for George Wood Wingate, an officer in the Union Army during the American Civil War. Wingate was the founder of the Public School Athletic League in New York City. The campus now houses four new small schools under the New Visions for Public Schools initiative of the New York City Department of Education (NYCDOE). There are the International Arts Business School, The School for Human Rights, The School for Democracy and Leadership and the High School for Public Service: Heroes of Tomorrow. The high school's sports teams were known as the 'Generals', for George Wingate's rank in the New York National Guard.
