US Post Office at Old Hickory

Old Hickory is a neighborhood of metropolitan Nashville, located in the Hadley Bend section of eastern Davidson County, Tennessee. Old Hickory is governed by the Metropolitan Council of Nashville and Davidson County, due to the fact that the government of Davidson County is consolidated with that of Nashville.

Old Hickory United Methodist Church is a United Methodist congregation which meets at 1216 Hadley Avenue in Old Hickory, Tennessee. The church building was constructed in 1928 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

Hill's Island is an island on the Cumberland River in Davidson County, Tennessee, USA. It is the fourth smallest island between Old Hickory Dam and Cheatham Dam. The island is only accessible by boat. The town of Madison, Tennessee can be seen from the island.

Lakewood is a neighborhood of Nashville in Davidson County, Tennessee. The population was 2,302 at the 2010 census, at which time it was an incorporated city, as it was from 1959 until 2011.

The Old Hickory Lake Arboretum (23 acres (9.3 ha)) is an arboretum and environmental study area located adjacent to Old Hickory Lake in Hendersonville, Tennessee. The arboretum contains over 60 species of shrubs and trees. It was created and is maintained by the United States Army Corps of Engineers, who manage the lake area.

Madison Academy is a Seventh-day Adventist academy located in Madison, Tennessee. It is a part of the Seventh-day Adventist education system, the world's second largest Christian school system. Established in 1904 under the visionary inspiration of Ellen White, Madison Academy is co-educated day high school located approximately ten miles north of Nashville, Tennessee, on a bend of the Cumberland River.

Old Hickory Lock and Dam is a dam located in middle Tennessee on the Cumberland River at river mile 216.2 in Sumner and Davidson Counties, approximately 25 miles (40 km) upstream from Nashville. The reservoir behind the dam is Old Hickory Lake. The dam and lake are named after President Andrew Jackson (nicknamed "Old Hickory"), who lived in the vicinity at The Hermitage.

Middle Tennessee School of Anesthesia (MTSA) is a private graduate school specializing in nurse anesthesia education and located in Madison, Tennessee. The schools is accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges. Founded in 1950 as Madison Hospital School of Anesthesia, it later became Middle Tennessee School of Anesthesia. MTSA offers a Master of Science (MS) with a focus in Nurse Anesthesia as well as Doctor of Nursing Anesthesia Practice (DNAP) degree. It is the second-largest nurse anesthesia program in the United States. The primary clinical affiliate of MTSA is Vanderbilt University.

Neely's Bend is a major bend in the Cumberland River just northeast of Nashville, Tennessee and south of the Nashville suburb of Madison. This area contains several hundred acres and is some of the most rural land remaining in Davidson County, Tennessee, especially toward its southern end, with several large farms including a major equestrian operation. At the southernmost point is a boat ramp onto the Cumberland, which is the major current feature of Peeler Park, a property of the Metropolitan Nashville Department of Parks and Recreation that is as of 2006 still largely undeveloped. Peeler Park contains a model airplane landing strip and a new greenway. The northern end includes a middle school and an elementary school. The land within the bend is mostly visible from neighborhoods across the river (and atop river bluffs) in Donelson and East Nashville. The area's lack of development is largely due to its lack of accessibility; there is no ferry or bridge across the Cumberland from Neely's Bend into Nashville proper and access to the southern end is only by a narrow two-lane road.

Hopewell is a neighborhood in Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee, United States. It lies at an elevation of 472 feet (144 m). The role of Hopewell and the manipulation of the votes of its predominantly African-American population for the purposes of early 20th century machine politics in Tennessee is described in The Secrets of the Hopewell Box by James D. The Robert Chadwell House is a historic mansion in Madison, Tennessee, USA. It was built circa 1874. It was designed in the Italianate architectural style. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since November 13, 1989.
