Child Hero Manuel Bonilla Municipal Sports Complex (Spanish: Complejo Deportivo Municipal Niño Héroe Manuel Bonilla), also known as the Municipal Stadium of Miraflores (Spanish: Estadio Municipal de Miraflores) is a sports complex in Miraflores District, Lima, Peru. It is named after Manuel Bonilla Elhart, a child soldier and war hero of the Peruvian Army who was killed in action during the War of the Pacific.

San Martín barracks (Spanish: Cuartel San Martín), originally Junín barracks (Spanish: Cuartel Junín), was a military instalation inaugurated in 1921 to house the Mounted Grenadiers Regiment of the Argentine delegation that visited the country for the Centennial of the Independence of Peru. Located the 13th block of the Avenida del Ejército, it was subsequently closed and auctioned in 2009 and demolished a year later.

The College of the Sacred Hearts of Belén (Spanish: Colegio de los Sagrados Corazones Belén) is a private Catholic school in San Isidro District, Lima, Peru. Founded in 1849 by French nuns of the Congregation of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary as a all-girls school in central Lima, it is currently a mixed-sex school.

Lince is a district of the Lima Province in Peru. It is part of the city of Lima. Officially established as a district on May 29, 1936, the current mayor (alcalde) of Lince is Vicente Amable Escalante. The district's postal code is 14. Until 1936, when it was made into a separate district, Lince was attached to Miraflores and San Isidro district.

Miraflores is a district of the Lima Province in Peru. It is a residential and upscale shopping district south of downtown Lima. It is also one of the wealthiest districts that make up the city of Lima. It has several hotels (including the Hilton, the JW Marriott, and the Belmond), restaurants, bars, nightclubs, and department stores. Miraflores is one of the main tourist destinations in Lima. Founded as San Miguel de Miraflores, it was established as a district on January 2, 1857. As a result of the Battle of Miraflores fought during the War of the Pacific, Miraflores got the designation of Ciudad Heroica ("Heroic City"). The district's postal code is 18.

Víctor Larco Herrera National Hospital (Spanish: Hospital Nacional Víctor Larco Herrera) is a psychiatric establishment founded in 1918 in the district of Magdalena del Mar, Lima, Peru.

The Sinagoga Sharón is an orthodox synagogue in San Isidro District, Lima. It is one of three synagogues in the district and one of four in the city, the other being located in nearby Miraflores. Since 1987, it is operated by the Unión Israelita del Perú. Since 2016, the synagogue is headed by Brazilian rabbi Simantob Nigri.

The Japanese embassy hostage crisis (Spanish: Toma de la residencia del embajador de Japón en Lima, Japanese: 在ペルー日本大使公邸占拠事件, romanized: Zai Perū Nihon taishi kōtei senkyo jiken) began on 17 December 1996 in Lima, Peru, when 14 members of the Túpac Amaru Revolutionary Movement (MRTA) took hostage hundreds of high-level diplomats, government and military officials and business executives. They were attending a party at the official residence of the Japanese ambassador to Peru, Morihisa Aoki, in celebration of Emperor Akihito's 63rd birthday. Although the crisis took place at the ambassadorial residence in San Isidro rather than at the embassy proper, it is often referred to as the "Japanese embassy" hostage crisis. Foreign female hostages were released during the first night and most foreigners left after five days of constant death threats. After being held hostage for 126 days, the remaining dignitaries were freed on 22 April 1997, in a raid by Peruvian Armed Forces commandos, during which one hostage, two commandos, and all the MRTA militants were killed. The operation was perceived by most Peruvians to be a great success, and it gained worldwide media attention. President Alberto Fujimori initially received much credit for saving the lives of the hostages. Reports later emerged alleging that a number of the insurgents were summarily executed after surrendering. Japanese diplomat Hidetaka Ogura testified that three of the rebels were tortured. Two of the commandos maintained that they saw Eduardo "Tito" Cruz alive and in custody before he was found with a bullet wound in his neck. These findings prompted civil suits against military officers by the relatives of dead militants. In 2005, the Attorney General's office in Peru allowed the charges and hearings were ordered. After public outcry, all charges were dropped, however, further investigations were referred to the Inter-American Court of Human Rights. It ruled in 2015 that Cruz had been the victim of an extrajudicial killing and that the Peruvian government violated international law. The court also named 25-year-old Victor Peceros and 17-year-old Herma Melendez as victims deprived of their human rights.

The Embassy of Sweden in Lima was Sweden's diplomatic mission in Peru. Diplomatic relations between Peru and Sweden were established in 1930 and the embassy opened the following year. It was closed in 2001 and reopened in 2016, only to close again in 2022. Since then, the Swedish ambassador in Santiago is also accredited to Lima.

La Marina Lighthouse (Spanish: Faro de la Marina) is an active lighthouse set in parkland on high cliffs above the Pacific Ocean, in the Miraflores district of Lima, the capital of Peru. It is one of the most famous and visited lighthouses in the country.
