Berry Events Center is a 4,300-seat multi-purpose arena in Marquette, Michigan, in the United States that opened in 1999. It is home to the Northern Michigan University Wildcats ice hockey and basketball teams. The arena formerly housed the US short track speed skating team. It was built in 1999, and is named for John W. Berry, Jr., class of 1971, a primary benefactor of the facility. The arena replaced Lakeview Arena, the home of Wildcat hockey for its first twenty-three seasons. The arena contains 16 luxury suites and standing room for 400 fans. It is also the premier sports and entertainment venue in the Upper Peninsula, accommodating up to 5,675 for concerts. It was formerly the only school in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association to have Olympic-size ice (200 by 100 feet or 61 by 30 metres), before a multi-million dollar ice making plant upgrade in 2023 that included shrinking the dimensions of the rink to a hybrid 200 x 94 ft rink.

The Superior Dome is a domed stadium on the campus of Northern Michigan University (NMU) in Marquette, Michigan, United States. It opened as the "world’s largest wooden dome" on September 14, 1991, and is home to the Northern Michigan Wildcats football, women's lacrosse, and women's track and field teams, the NMU Wildcat marching band, and hosts a variety of other campus and community events. The dome is 143 feet (44 m) tall, has a diameter of 536 feet (163 m), covers an area of 5.1 acres (21,000 m2) and has a volume of 16,135,907 cubic feet. It is a geodesic dome constructed with 781 Douglas fir beams and 108.5 miles (174.6 km) of fir decking and is designed to support snow up to 60 pounds per square foot (2.9 kPa) and withstand 80-mile-per-hour (130 km/h) winds. It has a permanent seating capacity of 8,000 people, though the building can hold as many as 16,000 people. The 2010 edition of Guinness World Records listed it as the fifth-largest dome and largest wooden dome in the world.

The Longyear Hall of Pedagogy (also known as just Longyear Hall) was an academic building located on Presque Isle Avenue, on the campus of Northern Michigan University in Marquette, Michigan. It was designated a Michigan State Historic Site in 1972 as part of the Kaye Hall Complex, and individually listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980, but was demolished in 1993 and removed from the National Register of Historic Places in 2022.

Lakeview Arena is a 3,100-seat multi-purpose arena, located in Marquette, Michigan. It opened in 1974, during the Marquette Iron Rangers hockey season. The team had previously played in the historic Palestra, a building that had moved from Laurium, Michigan in 1921 and was torn down shortly after Lakeview opened. From 1976 to 1999, it was the home of Northern Michigan University's hockey program, and it was there, during the 1990–91 season, that the Wildcats posted a perfect home record on their way to the 1991 NCAA Division I Men's Ice Hockey Tournament. KISS performed at the arena during their Animalize Tour on March 20, 1985, during their Crazy Nights Tour on January 5, 1988, and during their Hot in The Shade Tour on October 4, 1990. Today, the building is used for local hockey programs, as well as other events and conventions in the city. It was also home to the Marquette Rangers of the NAHL between 2006 and 2010, before they moved to Flint. It became home to the newly revived Marquette Iron Rangers in the Great Lakes Hockey League's 2015-16 season. After that season, the team folded and was replaced by the Marquette Mutineers. Also The AWA had two wrestling events there on October 9, 1983 headlined by Hulk Hogan and on May 20, 1984. On January 15, 1987 Jim Cricket Promotions had a NWA event with Ric Flair main eventing. Lakeview is owned by the city and operated by the Parks and Recreation Department. Lakeview won the Kraft Hockeyville USA contest on April 30, 2016. The arena received $150,000 in upgrades, and hosted the Buffalo Sabres and Carolina Hurricanes on October 4, 2016 in a preseason NHL contest. Buffalo won the game 2-0.

Blackrocks Brewery is a craft brewery in Marquette, Michigan. Taking the name from a local landmark, David Manson and Andy Langlois opened Blackrocks in 2010 as a nanobrewery within a Victorian-style house. As of 2020, Blackrocks is the tenth-largest brewery in Michigan with sales across the state's Upper and Lower Peninsulas and into the adjoining state of Wisconsin.

Northern Michigan University (Northern Michigan, Northern or NMU) is a public university in Marquette, Michigan. It was established in 1899 by the Michigan Legislature as Northern State Normal School. In 1963, the state designated Northern a university and gave the school its current name of Northern Michigan University. The university comprises five academic divisions, offering some 180 programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Accredited undergraduate and graduate degree programs are offered by the College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Business, the College of Health Sciences and Professional Studies. NMU's athletic teams are nicknamed the Wildcats and compete primarily in the NCAA Division II Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC). The hockey team competes in NCAA Division I Central Collegiate Hockey Association. The Nordic ski team competes in the NCAA Central Collegiate Ski Association.

The Peter White Public Library is a public library and community center in the City of Marquette, Michigan. The library building has stood at 217 North Front Street since 1904. An extensive renovation and addition was completed in 2000, and another renovation completed in 2018. The building also houses the Marquette Arts and Culture Center. The library is named after Peter White, a local businessman, postmaster, real estate developer, Michigan state legislator, and philanthropist who lived from 1830 until 1908.During Fiscal Year 2022-2023 the library contained approximately 172,000 physical items—including books, magazines, DVDs, CDs, art prints, and other formats, plus access to a shared collection of e-books and downloadable audio books. During that same year, the library welcomed an average of 511 visitors per day and circulated a total of 258,598 items. The library is owned by the citizens of the City of Marquette. Eight townships in Marquette County also contract service with the library, bringing the total population served to nearly 36,000. The library serves persons who live or own property in the following communities: City of Marquette, Chocolay Township, Ewing Township, Marquette Township, Sands Township, Skandia Township, Turin Township, Wells Township, and West Branch Township. The library maintains remote book drops for the return of materials at the township halls in Chocolay, Sands, Skandia, and West Branch Townships. An additional drop in Marquette Township is located at the Westwood Mall, outside the southwest entrance of the building.

The Episcopal Diocese of Northern Michigan is the diocese of the Episcopal Church in the United States of America (TEC) with canonical jurisdiction in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

The Landmark Inn is a historic hotel on Front Street in downtown Marquette, Michigan. The hotel originally opened in 1930 as the Hotel Northland. As it originally did, the hotel operates as a full-service hotel with 66 rooms, many of which overlook the shores of Lake Superior.

Temple Beth Sholom is a Reform Jewish synagogue located at 233 Blaker Street, in Marquette, Marquette County, Michigan, in the United States. Founded in 1953 in Ishpeming, Temple Beth Sholom is the successor to multiple smaller congregations present in the Marquette area since the early 20th century. Temple Beth Sholom is one of two Jewish congregations in the Upper Peninsula, the other being Temple Jacob in Hancock.Temple Beth Sholom has been located in the historic First Church of Christ, Scientist building in downtown Marquette since 2017. The church building, built in 1925, is a contributing property to the Arch and Ridge Streets Historic District.

Lake Superior Zendo (LSV) is a Sōtō Zen Buddhist temple located in Marquette, Michigan. The zendo was founded in 1990 by Tesshin Paul Lehmberg, who received Dharma transmission from Rev. Shoken Winecoff of Ryumonji Zen Monastery. Lake Superior Zendo is informally affiliated with Northern Michigan University through the Presque Isle Zen Community and participates in local interfaith events.

The Longyear Building is a commercial structure located at 210 North Front Street in Marquette, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004.
