Smetana is an unincorporated community in Brazos County, in the U.S. state of Texas. According to the Handbook of Texas, the community had a population of 80 in 2000. It is located within the Bryan-College Station metropolitan area.

KNDE (95.1 FM) is a radio station with a Top 40 (CHR) format licensed to College Station, Texas. Candy 95's current line-up features the show "Morning Candy" with Frito and Katy (6-10am), Mid-Days with Audrey Rose (10am-2pm), and Afternoons with Ted (2-7pm). It is owned and operated by Bryan Broadcasting Company through its licensee Bryan Broadcasting License Corporation, based locally in College Station, Texas. Its studios are in College Station and its transmitter is in Bryan.

Bryan Air Force Base is a former United States Air Force base in unincorporated Brazos County, Texas, located west of Bryan. Today, the location houses The Texas A&M University System RELLIS Campus. It was also formerly named the Texas A&M University-Riverside Campus. Bryan Air Force Base was originally activated in 1943 as a U.S. Army Air Forces installation known as Bryan Army Air Field. The base housed a flight instructors' school and was assigned the task of developing a standardized system of instrument flight training. The Full Panel Attitude System developed at the base was one of the most significant contributions the base made to pilot training. The instrument training school at Bryan AAF was the only one of its kind in the United States Army Air Forces.The installation became Bryan Air Force Base upon the establishment of the U.S. Air Force as a separate service in September 1947. Assigned to the Air Training Command, it conducted advanced flight training in the T-33 Shooting Star. Deactivated in May 1961, the land and buildings were leased to the Texas A&M University in 1962, and in 1988 full ownership of the former base was transferred to Texas A&M University at virtually no cost.

The Astin Mansion is a historic house located at 506 W. 26th Street, Bryan, Texas, USA. It was built in 1920 and designed in the English Georgian Revival style. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since September 25, 1987.The Astin Mansion was built by Roger Q. Astin for his wife Nina (née Heard). Roger Astin was the youngest son of James Hugh Astin, a wealthy landowner and owner of the Rivermist cotton plantation. The Astin family significantly shaped the growth of Bryan, Texas and the Brazos Valley. There are several charitable organizations in the area that bear the Astin name as a result of the philanthropy of Nina Astin.The Astin Mansion was designed by architect Hal B. Thompson. Mr. Thompson also designed Highland Park in Dallas. The main house has 96 windows and 16 sets of French doors. The original slate roof has been maintained. Many of the interior fixtures, chandeliers and mirrors are original to the house. The overmantle was carved by Peter Mansbendel in the style of the famous English carver Grinling Gibbons. Mr. Mansbendel also carved several of the limestone and cast stone mantles. The ironwork is thought to be from Henry Potter Ironworks of Dallas. The Astin Mansion complex also includes a carriage house that has been converted into a lounge. Above it is an apartment. Additionally, behind the main house, there is a children's playhouse built by Nina Astin for her children that is a miniature of the mansion.The Astin Mansion has been used as a Special Events Venue for upscale events since 2004.

Saint Anthony's Catholic Church is a historic Roman Catholic church building at 306 S. Parker in Bryan, Texas. The Romanesque Revival-style building was constructed in 1927 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.

Temple Freda, built in 1912, is a synagogue in Bryan, Texas. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on September 22, 1983.

Saint Andrew's Episcopal Church is a historic Episcopal church at 217 West Twenty-sixth in Bryan, Texas. The Late Gothic Revival-style church building was constructed in 1914 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.

The LaSalle Hotel is a hotel located in downtown Bryan, Texas, United States, a Texas cultural district. The hotel was opened in 1928 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on May 26, 2000. At its opening in 1928, the seven-story hotel was the tallest building in Bryan. The LaSalle had one hundred guest rooms, a ballroom and meeting space (both have since been converted to guest rooms). Several businesses, including a tailor, a barber and a cafe were located on the first floor. Businessman and city leader R. W. Howell built the hotel and the Howell family owned the hotel for over thirty years. J. C. Jacques bought the property in 1959 and converted it into a nursing home. The home was open until 1975 and then became a resident hotel with small apartments until it closed in 1980. The LaSalle sat empty for seventeen years when a private developer with city backing began renovations. The hotel reopened in 2000, which started the revitalization of downtown Bryan. The hotel faltered though and the City of Bryan stepped in to keep it open.The LaSalle currently has 55 rooms and suites and has been newly renovated into what it is now known as the luxurious LaSalle Boutique Hotel and Downtown Elixir and Spirits.

Edible Field is a ballpark located in Bryan, Texas and home to the TCL Brazos Valley Bombers and the USL2 Brazos Valley Cavalry soccer team. Renamed by a corporate sponsorship with Edible Arrangements in 2021, it was long known as Travis Field during its use by several minor-league baseball teams and Texas A&M Aggies baseball for several decades.

The Old Sinclair Station, at 507 S. Texas in Bryan, Texas, was built in 1933. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.

The Texas A&M University School of Nursing in Bryan, Texas is the nursing school of Texas A&M University and a component of Texas A&M Health. It was established in 2008 to address the critical nursing shortage in Texas.
