Burguillos

The Battle of (the) Muottental, also known as the battle of the Muttental, Muotatal or Muotta, was fought in 1799, on 30 September and 1 October, during the Second Coalition war as part of Suvorov's Swiss campaign. The Russian troops of Rosenberg's rearguard, ordered by Suvorov, stood in the Muottental (also referred to as the Muttental), now Muotatal, covering the march of the main force, and were attacked by outnumbered French troops under the overall command of Masséna. French troops were more than double that of the Russian forces. It ended in a decisive Russian victory.

The Battle of Ilipa () was an engagement considered by many as Scipio Africanus’s most brilliant victory in his military career during the Second Punic War in 206 BC. It may have taken place on a plain east of Alcalá del Río, Seville, Spain, near the village of Esquivel, the site of the Carthaginian camp.Though it may not seem to be as original as Hannibal’s tactic at Cannae, Scipio's pre-battle maneuver and his reverse Cannae formation stands as the acme of his tactical ability, in which he forever broke the Carthaginian hold in Iberia, thus denying any further land invasion into Italy and cutting off a rich base for the Barca dynasty both in silver and manpower.

La Algaba (Arabic: الغابة) is a Spanish municipality in the province of Seville, Andalusia, with a population of around 16,000. Birth of a New Man (Spanish: Nacimiento de un Hombre Nuevo), popularly known as el huevo de Colón ("the Columbus' egg"), is a monument in Seville, Spain. It is a work by Zurab Tsereteli, consisting of a colossal statue representing Christopher Columbus partially enfolded by an egg-like shell. It was a gift from the city of Moscow to Seville on the occasion of the 500th anniversary of the arrival of Columbus in the Caribbean in 1492. The reported height of the sculptural work ranges from 42 to 45 metres (138 to 148 ft), while the individual figure is 32 metres (105 ft) high, thus ranking as the largest statue in Spain, ahead of the Cristo del Otero.Located at the Park of San Jerónimo, it was inaugurated by Elena de Borbón and Jaime de Marichalar in 1995.

Italica (Spanish: Itálica) north of modern-day Santiponce, 9 km northwest of Seville in southern Spain, was an Italic settlement founded by the Roman general Scipio in the province of Hispania Baetica. It was the birthplace of Roman Emperors Trajan, Hadrian, and possibly Theodosius. It flourished under the reign of Hadrian, becoming an elaborate urban centre and achieving a significant political and economic status in the region. The modern town of Santiponce overlies the pre-Roman Iberian settlement and part of the well-preserved Roman city.
