Secaucus High School

WWRL (1600 kHz) is a commercial AM radio station licensed to New York, New York, owned by iHeartMedia, Inc. The station airs an all-news radio format as an affiliate of the Black Information Network (BIN). Founded in 1926, WWRL originally had a multi-lingual format serving the various ethnic communities of New York City. The station took on a mostly Spanish identity in the 1950s, then became primarily oriented towards African Americans in the mid-1960s, under the direction of news director Dick London, who invited community leaders to voice their concerns publicly on air, as the station became an advocate for legislative change. The music and news advocacy was an integral part of the Black American community. WWRL played R&B music from 1964 to 1982, before changing to urban contemporary gospel music and religious programming from 1982 to 1997. After a brief return to R&B in the late 1990s, WWRL gradually de-emphasized music in favor of more talk radio programming. In 2006, WWRL replaced 1190 WLIB as the flagship station for the Air America Radio network and retained a progressive talk radio format for seven years. From 2014 to 2016, WWRL had a regional Mexican music format before changing to South Asian programming as an affiliate of Radio Zindagi. Since 2020, the station has served as the New York City outlet for iHeartRadio's Black Information Network service. Ethel Merman began her career singing on WWRL; notable hosts in WWRL's history include Frankie Crocker, Al Sharpton, Steve Malzberg, Mark Riley, and Richard Bey.

The Mall at Mill Creek, formerly known as Mill Creek Mall, is a strip mall located in Secaucus, New Jersey in the New Jersey Meadowlands. It is situated in the Harmon Meadow Plaza complex, approximately 6 miles (9.7 km) from New York City, and is owned by Hartz Mountain Industries. The International Council of Shopping Centers lists the mall as having a Gross leasable area (GLA) of 400,000 sq ft (37,000 m2).

Mill Creek Marsh is a nature preserve in the New Jersey Meadowlands located in Secaucus at its border with North Bergen, the Cromakill Creek, in Hudson County, New Jersey. It is fed by the Hackensack River, and is a contributing property to the Hackensack RiverWalk. It is contiguous to the west by Mill Creek and the Schmidts Woods and Secaucus High School, to the north by Western Brackish Marsh, to the east by the Eastern Brackish Marsh, and Cromakill Marsh.The Eastern Spur of New Jersey Turnpike runs through the nature area, which is bordered to the south by The Plaza at Harmon Meadow, which includes the Mall at Mill Creek.

The Plaza at Harmon Meadow is a shopping complex in the Meadowlands of Secaucus, New Jersey, approximately six miles from New York City. It was developed by Hartz Mountain Industries, whose corporate offices are located in the Plaza. The Plaza, which Hartz refers to as a “mixed-use community”, encompasses 175 acres (0.71 km2), and consists of over 3,500,000 square feet (330,000 m2) of hotel, office, retail, and restaurants space. It was purchased by Howard Michaels's Carlton Group in 2015. It was built in 1981.In addition to its offices, The Plaza at Harmon Meadow has a convention center, a 14-screen Kerasotes Theatres complex, the Meadowlands Exposition Center, The Mall at Mill Creek, and its own post office. The International Council of Shopping Centers lists the mall as having a Gross leasable area (GLA) of 400,000 square feet (37,000 m2).The Plaza at Harmon Meadow is bound on the south by Route 3 and Paterson Plank Road. The mall is accessible via the bus lines 78 from Newark, 85 from New Jersey (Jersey City and Union City), and the 190 and 320 interstate bus lines, which travel to and from the Port Authority Bus Terminal in Midtown Manhattan.From June 30 to July 1, 2012, it was host to BronyCon, a fan based convention for the television program My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. In 2015, the Meadowlands Exposition Center, which is located in the Plaza, became the hosting location for the East Coast Comicon, having moved there from Asbury Park.

Paterson Plank Road is a road that runs through Passaic, Bergen and Hudson Counties in northeastern New Jersey. The route, originally laid in the colonial era, connects the city of Paterson and the Hudson River waterfront. It has largely been superseded by Route 3, but in the many towns it passes it has remained an important local thoroughfare, and in some cases been renamed.

WBBR (1130 AM) is a Class A clear-channel radio station licensed to New York, New York. It serves as the flagship station of Bloomberg Radio, Bloomberg L.P.'s radio service. The station offers general and financial news reports 24-hours a day, along with local information and interviews with corporate executives, economists, and industry analysts.WBBR broadcasts with 50,000 watts, the maximum authorized power for AM stations, from a four-tower antenna array located in Carlstadt, New Jersey. A single tower is used during the day, at night, power is fed to all four towers in a directional pattern to protect KWKH in Shreveport, Louisiana, the other Class A station at 1130 AM. Even with this restriction, it can be heard across much of the Eastern United States and Canada, but is strongest in the Northeast. Studios are located at 731 Lexington Avenue ("Bloomberg Tower") in Midtown Manhattan.

The Secaucus Public Schools is a public school district that serves students in pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade from Secaucus, in Hudson County, New Jersey, United States.As of the 2020–21 school year, the district, comprised of four schools, had an enrollment of 2,229 students and 187.5 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 11.9:1.The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "DE", the fifth-highest of eight groupings. District Factor Groups organize districts statewide to allow comparison by common socioeconomic characteristics of the local districts. From lowest socioeconomic status to highest, the categories are A, B, CD, DE, FG, GH, I and J.

Castle Point Anime Convention (abbreviated as CPAC) is an annual two-day anime convention held during April/May at the Meadowlands Exposition Center in Secaucus, New Jersey. The convention was previously organized by the Stevens Institute of Technology's Stevens Anime Club, and was located on campus for several years. Since 2017, the convention is now run by its own company, Anime Critics United, Inc.

New Jersey Meadowlands, also known as the Hackensack Meadowlands after the primary river flowing through it, is a general name for the large ecosystem of wetlands in northeastern New Jersey in the United States, a few miles to the west of New York City. In the 20th century, much of the Meadowlands area was urbanized, and it became known for being the site of large landfills and decades of environmental abuse. A variety of projects are underway to restore and conserve the remaining ecological resources in the Meadowlands.

American Dream is a large retail and entertainment complex in the Meadowlands Sports Complex in East Rutherford, New Jersey, United States. The first and second of four opening stages occurred on October 25, 2019, and on December 5, 2019. The remaining opening stages occurred on October 1, 2020, and thereafter.The project was first proposed in 2003 by the Mills Corporation as the Meadowlands Xanadu, with construction beginning in 2004. After the Mills Corporation's bankruptcy in 2007, the project was taken over by Colony Capital. In May 2009, construction stalled due to the bankruptcy of Lehman Brothers. Triple Five Group announced intent to take over the mall in May 2011, and on July 31, 2013, officially gained control of the mall and the surrounding site.After a series of ownership changes, financing issues, construction delays, and legal challenges, construction stopped again in December 2016. In late June 2017, construction had resumed, after new financing had been secured, though the project would suffer a series of "chronically delayed" opening dates. Among the attractions that opened in 2019 were the Nickelodeon Universe theme park in October and the Big Snow American Dream ski slope in December. The DreamWorks Water Park, which was scheduled to open March 19, 2020, as well as the mall's retail shops and restaurants, were delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic, which forced the mall's temporary closure on March 8. Following Governor Phil Murphy's August 26 announcement that amusements could open with restrictions on September 1, Big Snow American Dream announced it would reopen on that date, while other amusements and the mall's first major retail outlets reopened on October 1.As of December 2021, the mall has approximately 200 tenants.

JonasCon was the one-time-only fan convention, created to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the American pop rock band Jonas Brothers. Dubbed as the "Ultimate Jonas Brothers Fan Experience", the event took place on March 23, 2025, at the American Dream Way shopping mall, located in East Rutherford, New Jersey, the band's home state. All activities in the event alluded to the Jonas Brothers' career, highlighting memories from both the Jonas family and fans. Amongst them were performances by the Jonas Brothers, the All-American Rejects, Big Time Rush, and Boys Like Girls, along with merchandise, themed drinks and snacks. During JonasCon, the band announced some upcoming projects, which included their upcoming tour, Jonas 20: Living the Dream, their seventh studio album, Greetings from Your Hometown, a Disney+ movie, called A Very Jonas Christmas, a live album, as well as the track list and release date for Joe Jonas' sophomore solo studio album, Music for People Who Believe in Love.

DreamWorks Water Park is an indoor water park within the American Dream shopping and entertainment complex, at the Meadowlands Sports Complex in East Rutherford, New Jersey, United States. The park opened on October 1, 2020. The water park includes 15 water slides and 15 attractions, and covers 8.5 acres (3.4 ha).
