The Washington Hose and Steam Fire Engine Company, No. 1 is located in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania. The building was built in 1877 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on November 20, 1975.

Edward "Ned" Hector (born about 1744) was an African American soldier who fought in the American Revolutionary War. Hector was one of three to five thousand people of color that fought for the cause of American independence. He served as a teamster (a wagon driver) and a bombardier (part of an artillery crew) with the state militia called Proctor's Third Pennsylvania Artillery, which by the end of 1777 became the Fourth Continental Artillery. The known battles he participated in are the Battle of Brandywine (September 11, 1777) and Germantown (October 4, 1777). In the Battle of Brandywine he disregarded his orders to abandon everything and retreat. He is remembered for replying to the orders, "The enemy shall not have my team; I will save my horses and myself!"

West Conshohocken is a borough in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 1,320 at the 2010 census. Its sister community is Conshohocken, Pennsylvania, located across the Schuylkill River. Montgomery County's seat, Norristown, is located approximately two miles north of, and across the river from, West Conshohocken.

Gulph Creek is a tributary of the Schuylkill River in southeastern Pennsylvania. It is approximately six miles long and flows in an easterly direction. It passes through Tredyffrin, Radnor, and Upper Merion Townships, and the borough of West Conshohocken. It also passes through the village of Gulph Mills and goes past Hanging Rock alongside Route 320. Gulph Creek originates at an elevation of 410 feet in Strafford and is named after the over 200 foot deep "gulph" the creek flows through after taking an abrupt turn north after flowing in a east-northeast direction.It is one of four watersheds in Radnor Township, the others being, Ithan Creek, Darby Creek, and Meadowbrook Run

Conshohocken ( kon-shə-HOK-ən; Lenape: Kanshihàkink) is a borough on the Schuylkill River in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, in suburban Philadelphia. Historically a large mill town and industrial and manufacturing center, after the decline of industry in recent years Conshohocken has developed into a center of riverfront commercial and residential development. In the regional slang, it is sometimes referred to by the colloquial nickname Conshy ( KON-shee). The name "Conshohocken" comes from the Unami language, from either Kanshi'hak'ing, meaning "Elegant-ground- place", or, more likely, Chottschinschu'hak'ing, which means "Big-trough-ground-place" or "Large-bowl-ground-place", referring to the big bend in the Tulpe'hanna (Turtle River, or modern Schuylkill River).The sister community of West Conshohocken is located on the opposite side of the Schuylkill River.

Garthwaite Stadium is a multi sports venue in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania, in the USA. It has a capacity of 3,700 with its full name being the Albert A Garthwaite Stadium Field. The stadium is named for the former President of Lee Tire & Rubber Company. In 2012 the stadium was fully renovated with upgrades to the stands, facilities and the floodlights. The stadium hosts the Conshohocken Music Festival and was used by Toronto Wolfpack rugby league team for their reality programme Last Tackle.

Woodmont is a mansion and hilltop estate of 72 acres (29 ha) in Gladwyne, a suburb of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. In 1953, it became the home of evangelist Father Divine, and the center of his International Peace Mission movement. It was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1998 for its well-preserved Chateau-style architecture, and for its association with Father Divine.

Philadelphia Country Club is a private country club located in Gladwyne, Pennsylvania, Lower Merion Township, Montgomery County. It has 27 holes of regulation golf including one 18-hole championship course, a nine-hole course, an Olympic-sized and baby pool, shooting lodge and range, squash facility, tennis, and paddle courts, a bowling alley, and a 100,000-foot clubhouse that includes four dining rooms, a terrace for outdoor seating during the warmer months and ballroom for weddings and bar and bat mitzvahs. The heart of the club is the clubhouse, which includes four dining rooms and an outside terrace during warmer weather. There is also a ballroom that can accommodate up to 400 people, and numerous multi-purpose rooms that can be used for parties or meeting rooms. The clubhouse includes a fitness center, golf pro shop, and multiple locker rooms. Philadelphia Country Club was one of the first six members of the USGA, and the golf course hosted the U.S. Open in 1939. It also hosted the 1899 U.S. Women's Championship and the 2003 U.S. Women's Amateur and co-hosted the 2005 Men's Amateur. Golf includes an 18-hole golf course, as well as a nine-hole golf course added in 1990 to celebrate the club's one hundredth anniversary. The 18-hole championship golf course is known as the Spring Mill Course and the 9-hole golf course is called Centennial. The club has three practice areas. 1) The main practice area features a driving range, putting green and separate short game chipping area. 2)The second practice area features a practice hole and practice putting green. 3) In 2021, the Philadelphia Country Club opened a new full length driving range and training center. There are four other buildings at Philadelphia Country Club. One is a squash building that includes singles and doubles courts, viewing areas along with a party space and a pro shop. Philadelphia Country Club has hosted multiple U.S. Open Squash tournaments, including one as late as 2013 with another planned for 2015. The squash building includes four bowling alleys and a party area. Another building is the "summer house" that includes the snack bar, drink bar and dining area for the pool, along with a tennis and paddle hut on the other side of the building that includes a pro shop and lounge. The view from the summer house is aligned along the side of the fairway of the 18th hole of the Spring Mill course. There is also a shooting lodge for both trap and skeet shooting. The shooting lodge includes a large stone fireplace, a bar and party area. The club's grounds maintenance facility was renovated from the old clubhouse.

The 1939 U.S. Open was the 43rd U.S. Open, held June 8–12 at Philadelphia Country Club in Gladwyne, Pennsylvania, a suburb northwest of Philadelphia. Byron Nelson won after two playoff rounds to prevail against Craig Wood and Denny Shute to claim his only U.S. Open title, and the second of his five major championships. It was the first playoff at the U.S. Open in eight years and the first three-way playoff since 1913. Sam Snead led after each of the first two rounds but his triple-bogey on the 72nd hole dropped him to fifth place, two strokes back. Two years earlier, he was runner-up in his first U.S. Open in 1937. Following World War II, Snead finished second three more times, but never won the title to complete a career grand slam. In his fourth U.S. Open, Ben Hogan made his first 36-hole cut at the championship and finished in a tie for 62nd. He finished in a tie for fifth the following year; after the war he won four U.S. Opens and contended in numerous others. He made every subsequent cut he played in at the U.S. Open, the last in 1967 at age 54.

La Ronda was a mansion and estate in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania from 1929 to 2009. It was originally the home of Percival E. Foerderer, who ran a leather-manufacturing business, and his wife Ethel Brown. The 17,500-square-foot (1,630 m2) Main Line mansion was the last commission by the renowned early 20th century architect Addison Mizner based in Palm Beach, Florida. The residence was built by J.S. Cornell & Son.

Lee Tire and Rubber Company, now known as Lee Park, is a historic rubber and tire factory complex located in the Spring Mill section of Whitemarsh, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. The main building was built in 1909, and is a vast, four-story, administration building. It is a symmetrical structure with terminating and central towers and features engaged Tuscan order columns framing the main entrance doors. The 12 remaining contributing buildings in the complex include one- and two-story, manufacturing buildings and a water tower (1909).It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.The company was incorporated in 1911, as the successor of the J Ellwood Lee Company business established in 1883. Lee manufactured puncture-proof pneumatic tires, regular tires, & rubber sundries. Garthwaite Stadium with in the borough is named for the former president, A. A. Garthwaite.
