Rajarshi Memorial Higher Secondary School is a senior secondary school situated in the village of Vadavucode, Kerala, India. The school was started by social worker Kadayath Pyli Abraham. The teacher Sri K A Abraham, popularly known as Kurisinkal Abraham, was the son in law of the founder. He played a leadership role in the school during the 1960s till 1973. In 1969, Sri K A Abraham - then Head Master - was honoured by the country by selecting him as 'the best teacher of the year'. Sri V V Giri, President of India conferred on him the honour during the Independence Day celebrations at the Red Fort, New Delhi on 15 August, 1969.

Mar Athanasius Memorial Higher Secondary School (MAMHSS) is a school situated in Puthencruz, Ernakulam district, Kerala. The school is affiliated with Kerala State Education Board, SCERT.The school has been named after St. Athanasius Paulose popularly known as 'Valiya Thirumeni', who is a saint of the Syriac Orthodox Church. Now the school functions as a part of the activities spearheaded by the Sisters of the St:Mary's Convent under the banner of St.Mary's Charitable Trust. When the school started functioning, there were only 84 pupils on the rolls. Now there are about 1500 pupils from L.K.G to Std XII. There are 43 teaching staffs and 14 non-teaching staffs. Recently management started Baselious Thomas Ist Catholicose Public School, a sister concern of the institution in the year 2004 following CBSE syllabus. The late Very Rev. Thariyan Corepiscopa was the first Headmaster of the school. Late Annamma Philip, V.J. Mathew, late chev: Sri V.M. Eapen, M.P. Mathaikunju, M. Thankachan, and T.K. Peter headed the institution for different periods in succession. There is an elected school council consisting of one representative from each class division.

Kottoor Church or Kottoor St. George Orthodox Syrian Church is an ancient chapel of Kolenchery Church. It is situated 0.5 km south of Kolenchery town, towards Karukappilly road and Muvattupuzha river. This Church is considered as the oldest of all structures founded in Kerala, India after Saint George. Kottoor church is believed to be the second oldest Christian structure constructed in Ernakulam District after Kottakavu Church at Paravoor. The Kottoor Church is believed to be founded in 5th century AD as a chapel of Pallippuram Church near Cherthala in the initial periods. From there, it was transferred as a chapel of Piravom Church at its establishment. In the 9th century AD, when the famous Kadamattom Church was established nearby, Kottoor Church became its chapel. At last, when the Kolenchery Church was constructed in the 6th century AD, Kottoor Church became its part as a chapel. The church is governed according to the 1934 constitution of Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church, and is part of the Kandanad West diocese of the church. A metropolitan conducted Holy mass in the Kottoor church after a long gap of 90 years on 23 July 2017, after a recent (3 July 2017) verdict of Honourable Supreme court of India, ending the dispute that lasted past 100 years in the parent Kolenchery church.
