The Northern Burlington County Regional School District is a comprehensive regional school district serves students in seventh through twelfth grades from four communities in Burlington County, New Jersey, United States. Students are served from Chesterfield Township, Mansfield Township, North Hanover Township and Springfield Township, along with children of military personnel based at Joint Base McGuire–Dix–Lakehurst.As of the 2020–21 school year, the district, comprised of two schools, had an enrollment of 2,163 students and 168.4 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 12.8:1.Using a formula that reflects the population and the value of the assessed property in each of the constituent municipalities, taxpayers in Mansfield Township pay 46.5% of the district's tax levy, while the remainder is apportioned to residents Chesterfield Township (21.6%), Springfield Township (17.7%) and North Hanover Township (14.2%). The district's 2013-14 budget included $35.6 million in spending.The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "DE", the fifth-highest of eight groupings. Northern Burlington County Regional High School is a four-year comprehensive public high school that serves students in ninth through twelfth grades from four communities in Burlington County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey, as part of the Northern Burlington County Regional School District. Students are served from Chesterfield Township, Mansfield Township, North Hanover Township and Springfield Township, along with children of USAF personnel based at McGuire Air Force Base. First opening to students upon the completion of the current building in 1960, the school is located in the Columbus section of Mansfield Township. The school has been accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Elementary and Secondary Schools since 1966, and is accredited through July 2027.As of the 2021–22 school year, the school had an enrollment of 1,441 students and 108.5 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 13.3:1. There were 99 students (6.9% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 43 (3.0% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.

Chesterfield Township is a township in Burlington County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2020 United States census, the township's population was 9,422, an increase of 1,723 (+22.4%) from the 2010 census count of 7,699, which in turn reflected an increase of 1,744 (+29.3%) from the 5,955 counted in the 2000 census. Construction began in the early 2000s and a significant percentage of the community is now complete. As of 2023 the majority of the construction is complete including Old York Village's mixed used; commercial, retail and housing section. Old York Village was the winner of the American Planning Association's National Outstanding Planning Award in 2004.

Magical Acres is a Standardbred Training Facility located in Chesterfield Township, New Jersey. It is owned and operated by Chuck Sylvester, hall of fame trainer and the only trainer to win the Hambletonian Stakes four times. It was established in the late 1990s and continues to be family run by Sylvester and his family. The farm boasts 14 barns, 12 which contain fifteen stalls, two wash stalls, a feed room, laundry room, kitchen, and lounge. There is one 80 stall barn that belongs to the owner and another barn which is for their onsite farrier. There is also a state of the art therapy pool and two training tracks, one which is the fastest fast track in the state.

The district serves students from Bordentown City, Bordentown Township and Fieldsboro Borough.As of the 2020–21 school year, the district, comprised of five schools, had an enrollment of 2,373 students and 194.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 12.2:1.The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "DE", the fifth highest of eight groupings. From lowest socioeconomic status to highest, the categories are A, B, CD, DE, FG, GH, I and J.The New Hanover Township School District, consisting of non-military portions of New Hanover Township (including its Cookstown area) and Wrightstown Borough, sends students to Bordentown Regional High School on a tuition basis for grades 9-12 as part of a sending/receiving relationship that has been in place since the 1960s, with about 50 students from the New Hanover district being sent to the high school. As of 2011, the New Hanover district was considering expansion of its relationship to send students to Bordentown for middle school for grades 6-8.

Columbus is an unincorporated community located within Mansfield Township in Burlington County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. The area is served as United States Postal Service ZIP Code 08022. Most of Mansfield Township's governmental offices are located in and around Columbus. It is also the main business district in the township with many businesses lining the main roads in the area. It is located at the junction of County Route 543 (which passes east and west through the area) and U.S. Route 206 (US 206) which is a major highway that heads north and south. US 206 originally passed through the center of Columbus on Atlantic Avenue and New York Avenue until it was moved to a short four-lane bypass of downtown in the late 1950s/early 1960s. The old surface route became state-maintained New Jersey Route 170 but became a county-maintained road (Burlington CR 690) in 1986.As of the 2010 United States Census, the population of ZIP Code Tabulation Area 08022 was 8,783.

Saint Mary School was a private coeducational Roman Catholic day school in Bordentown, New Jersey, that served students in kindergarten through eighth grade as part of Saint Mary's parish in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Trenton. The school closed its doors in June 2013 with a final graduating class of 11 students. The Diocese of Trenton cited the school's financial challenges in the face of enrollment that was half of the 220 students needed to remain financially viable.
