Siem Reap (Khmer: សៀមរាប, Siĕm Réab [siəm riəp]) is the second-largest city of Cambodia, as well as the capital and largest city of Siem Reap Province in northwestern Cambodia. Siem Reap has French-colonial and Chinese-style architecture in the Old French Quarter and around the Old Market. In and around the city there are museums, traditional Apsara dance performances, a Cambodian cultural village, souvenir and handicraft shops, silk farms, rice paddies in the countryside, fishing villages and a bird sanctuary near Tonlé Sap, and a cosmopolitan drinking and dining scene. Siem Reap city, home to the famous Angkor Wat temples, was named the ASEAN City of Culture for the period 2021–2022 at the 9th Meeting of the ASEAN Ministers Responsible for Culture and Arts (AMCA) organised on Oct 22, 2020.Today, Siem Reap has many hotels, resorts, and restaurants, due to its proximity to the Angkor Wat temples, Cambodia's most popular tourist attraction.

Siem Reap municipality (Khmer: ស្រុកសៀមរាប) is an municipality (krong) in Siem Reap province, in north-west Cambodia. According to the 2008 census of Cambodia, it had a population of 230,714. It surrounds the provincial city of Siem Reap.

Raffles Grand Hotel d'Angkor is a historic hotel located in Siem Reap, Cambodia. First opened in 1932, it was established by French town planner Ernest Hébrard to accommodate the early explorers and tourists visiting the world heritage site Angkor Wat. Referred to as 'La Grande Dame' of Angkor’, the hotel has welcomed personalities such as Charlie Chaplin, Paulette Goddard, Victor Goloubew, Princess Margaret, Lord Snowdon, Jacqueline Kennedy, Charles de Gaulle, Sultan Ibrahim Al-Masyhur, Queen Sofía, Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal, Lee Hsien Loong, José Carreras, Roger Moore, Chris Noth, Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton and Michelle Obama among many others. It was acquired by Raffles Hotels and Resorts in 1994 and reopened in 1997 following an extensive restoration. Regarded as "the last bastion of the golden age of travel in Cambodia", the hotel is one of the few remaining colonial hotels in Asia.

Angkor National Museum is an archaeological museum dedicated to the collection, preservation and presentation of Angkorian artifacts, also to provides information and education about art and culture of Khmer civilization, with collections mainly dated from Khmer Empire's Angkor period circa 9th to 14th-century. Most of the artifacts are discovered in and around the Angkor archaeological sites nearby. The museum is located in Siem Reap, Cambodia, on the way between downtown Siem Reap to northern road leading to Angkor ancient city. Opened on 12 November 2007, the Angkor National Museum covers the golden era of the Khmer Empire, making use of audio-visual multimedia technology. The museum covers Khmer history, civilization, and cultural heritage in eight galleries. The museum has a strict no-photos policy.The museum is owned and operated by Thai Vilailuck International Holdings, based in Bangkok. It is currently displaying archaeological objects borrowed from the Cambodian National Museum in Phnom Penh. Another source of artifacts is the Conservation d'Angkor, a storage facility of some 6,000 pieces created by the École française d'Extrême-Orient in 1908 and currently in the hands of the Cambodian Ministry of Culture.

Belmond La Résidence d’Angkor is a resort at the centre of Siem Reap in Cambodia. It is a short drive from the temples of Angkor Wat. It has large gardens containing a swimming pool and spa. The resort was acquired by Orient-Express Hotels in 2006. In 2014 the company changed its name to Belmond Ltd. and the hotel was renamed Belmond La Résidence d’Angkor. In 2016, the hotel closed for 7 months to undergo extensive renovations and reopened at the end of November 2016.

Angkor Hospital for Children (AHC) is an independent, non-profit paediatric healthcare hospital and organisation located in Siem Reap, Cambodia. AHC was founded in 1999 through the efforts of a Japanese photographer Kenro Izu. The mission of AHC is to improve healthcare of Cambodia's children by creating a sustainable, replicable model of a healthcare institution in cooperation with the Cambodian government.

The Apsara Theater is Siem Reap’s oldest Theatre, opened 1997 opposite the Angkor Village Hotel, with the revival of the royal Angkorian Apsara dance, Reamker (Ramayana), and other Khmer Traditional Dances like Apsara Ballet and the stories of workers life, like the fishermen's dance. Psah Chas (Khmer: ផ្សារចាស់ lit. 'Old Market'), also commonly romanized as Phsar Chas, Psar Chas or Psar Chaa, is a market in Siem Reap in northern Cambodia. Not to be confused with the similarly named Psah Chas in Phnom Penh that is geared toward locals, this market in the south of the city caters to locals and tourists alike. The market is such a fixture in Siem Reap that many businesses give their address in relation to Psah Chas. The Khmer word "psah" (Khmer pronunciation: [psaː], "market")) is derived from "pasar" ("market"), either from Malay or Cham, both of which in turn derive from Persian "bazar".The market is popular with tourists in the city and sells souvenirs, including T-shirts, silverware, silk, wood and stone carvings, Buddhas, and other items. It is also known for its variety of Cambodian cuisine, and has a number of food stalls which sell a variety of rices, dried fish and pork sausages, vegetables and fruits, and a fermented fish paste prahok, a type of. Some stalls sell baguettes and stuffed grilled frogs, while others offer various Khmer soups.
