Springdale Cemetery station

Springdale station is a commuter rail station on the New Canaan Branch of the Metro-North Railroad New Haven Line in Stamford, Connecticut.

Woodway station was a station on the New Canaan Branch of the former New York, New Haven, and Hartford Railroad and later the Penn Central. The station was located off of Hoyt Street in Darien, Connecticut. Woodway station closed on July 17, 1972.

Springdale is a section or neighborhood in Stamford, Connecticut. It is known around Stamford to have a small-town feel in the middle of a mid-sized city. Springdale offers both older, relatively modest homes in the lower Springdale area along with more expensive real estate toward the woodsy and affluent North Stamford section. Home of Mulberry Street. The Springdale section is generally defined as the area in the immediate vicinity of Hope Street and the New Canaan Branch of the Metro-North New Haven Line. It is on the east side of the city, north of the Glenbrook section and south of Newfield. To its east is northern Darien and to its west is the Belltown neighborhood. Springdale has its own traditional downtown area, mostly along Hope Street, containing such venues as the State Theater movie house and Twin Rinks ice rink. Twin Rinks has two regulation-size (200 feet by 85 feet) rinks at 1063 Hope St. Easy access to New York City is available through the Springdale train station on the New Canaan Branch. Other amenities include restaurants, professional offices, laundromats, banks, and a variety of small, locally owned shops. The Weed Branch of the city library system is also in the neighborhood, on Hope Street. Nearby is the Springdale Little League baseball field, which has lights for nighttime games. It has become one of the premier Little League fields in all of Connecticut, playing host to many summertime "All-Star" Little League games from all over the region. The neighborhood is served by Springdale Elementary School, Dolan Middle School, and Stamford High School. Both Sacred Heart University of Fairfield and the University of Bridgeport have conducted classes at "campuses" (rented space for classrooms) in Springdale near the railroad station. The Riverbend Office Park and Omega Engineering Inc. are also near the railroad station.

The Noroton River is a 9.4-mile-long (15.1 km) stream flowing into Holly Pond and forming most of the border between Stamford and Darien, Connecticut, United States. The river's headwaters are in New Canaan, Connecticut. It is the largest flowing body of water between the Mill River/Rippowam River to the west and the Fivemile River to the east, although Stony Brook and the Goodwives River in Darien are not much smaller. Pollution runoff from Interstate 95 flows down the Noroton River into Holly Pond. In 2009, the Stamford and Darien local governments asked the federal government for an $11.7 million grant to fund 65 percent of an $18 million project for "dredging and ecosystem restoration" in the pond and river, including "construction of wetlands, bioswales and other restoration structures".Two restaurants are located at the mouth of the river, where U.S. Route 1 (known as the Boston Post Road on the Darien side and East Main Street on the Stamford side) crosses it. Both feature windows offering diners a view of the river. The restaurant on the north side is in Stamford. On the south side, the current Giovanni's II Steakhouse is the most recent business to occupy a lot where restaurants have been sited since the early 20th century.

Trinity Catholic High School was a regional, coeducational Catholic school for grades 9-12 located in Stamford, Connecticut. The school closed at the end of the 2019–2020 academic year. It served parts of Fairfield County, Connecticut and Westchester County, New York. The school was a member of the FCIAC athletic conference. Trinity Catholic was accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, Inc. and the Connecticut Department of Education. It is located in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Bridgeport. The school is situated on a 26-acre (110,000 m2) campus at 926 Newfield Avenue. The school had an initial capacity of approximately 1,200 students, however, due to cost concerns and the demand for smaller student to faculty ratios, has since reduced its enrollment in order to set itself apart from other schools. It was originally known as Stamford Catholic High School, but after other local Catholic Schools closed, was grouped with remaining students to create Trinity Catholic High School. On February 27, 2020, the Most Reverend Frank J. Caggiano, Bishop of Bridgeport, announced that Trinity Catholic High School would not reopen its doors for the 2020–21 academic year due to enrollment and budget issues.

St. John Fisher Seminary Residence is sponsored by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Bridgeport, Connecticut. Men between the ages of eighteen and forty live at the Seminary while studying subjects based on a liberal arts curriculum, especially philosophy and classical languages, in preparation for graduate theological studies outside of the Diocese. St. John Fisher seminarians are formed to be faithful, perceptive, and well-balanced men. The formation experience at the Seminary is meant to leave an imprint on conscience, character, and manners; it is meant to develop style and to nourish action. The Seminary opened in 1989. During the intervening years, the last two bishops of the Diocese of Bridgeport have appointed the five rectors who have served the seminary community. The average time spent at St. John Fisher Seminary depends on the academic status of the seminarian. This can be anywhere from one to five years. St. John Fisher is located on Newfield Avenue in Stamford, Connecticut. It is located on the campus of Trinity Catholic High School. The residence was originally located in Trumbull, Connecticut until the current larger building became available.

Middlesex Middle School is a middle school in the Darien Public Schools district in Darien, Connecticut, United States. The school serves students from sixth through eighth grades. Each grade is divided into 4 teams of around 90 to 150 students. In eighth grade there are the Teal (formerly Tan), Maroon, Navy and Green teams, for seventh grade there are the Gold, Purple, Aqua and Blue teams and for sixth grade there are the Yellow (formerly Bronze), Silver, Red and Orange teams.
