Vicksburg Historic District

Vicksburg is a village in Kalamazoo County, Michigan, United States. The population was 3,706 at the 2020 census. The west part of the village is in Schoolcraft Township and the east part is in Brady Township.

The Lee Paper Company Mill Complex is a former factory located at 300 West Highway Street in Vicksburg, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2016. In 2017, a mixed-use development project was announced for the property, to be renamed The Mill at Vicksburg.

Vicksburg High School is a 9-12 public high school in Vicksburg, Michigan. It is part of the Vicksburg Community Schools.

Brady Township is a civil township of Kalamazoo County in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2010 census, the township population was 4,248.

Schoolcraft Township is a civil township of Kalamazoo County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 8,214 at the 2010 census, up from 7,260 at the 2000 census. The township is named for Henry Schoolcraft, noted for conducting many early land surveys throughout Michigan.

Austin Lake is a lake located in Kalamazoo County in the U.S. state of Michigan. It is approximately 2.2 miles (3.5 km) long at its greatest length. It has an average depth of about 5 feet (1.5 m), with a maximum depth of just over 11 feet (3.4 m). A boat launch is provided with a (U.S.) $6 daily fee. All watercraft are allowed. No alcoholic beverages are allowed.

Portage Lake is a 510-acre lake located near Mendon in the Michigan county of St. Joseph. A glacial-origin lake, it is fed and drained by the Portage River. The lake is variously reported as 37 feet and as 60 feet in maximum depth.The lake was surveyed by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources in 1998. The survey uncovered significant sport fishery resources in the form of bluegill, yellow perch, black crappie, largemouth bass, and northern pike. Traps set by naturalists caught many turtles, including map turtles and painted turtles.

WTOU (1560 AM) was the call sign assigned from 2019 until 2020, and the last call sign used on the air, by a radio station licensed to Portage, Michigan. It last broadcast an urban adult contemporary format, provided by ABC Radio Networks (The Touch, or "Today's R&B and Old School"). Owned by Midwest Communications, the station served the greater Kalamazoo, Michigan area. The station was assigned the call letters WQLR by the Federal Communications Commission on December 18, 2020, but its license was deleted without any broadcasts being made under the WQLR call letters. WTOU was also heard in Portage/Kalamazoo on FM translator 95.5 W238AL. Because the station was only licensed for daytime operation, the translator allowed "The Touch" programming to continue after WTOU signed off for the night. This translator was formerly used to relay country sister station WNWN-FM based in Battle Creek, but when another sister station, 96.5 WFAT, was switched to country music as WYZO, W238AL changed its programming source from WNWN-FM to the then-WNWN. W238AL was the third FM translator in Michigan to relay an AM station, after stations in Big Rapids and Charlevoix/Petoskey.

Pavilion Township is a civil township of Kalamazoo County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 6,222 at the 2010 census, up from 5,829 at the 2000 census.

The Dr. Nathan M. Thomas House is a single-family home located at 613 East Cass Street in Schoolcraft, Michigan. The house is also known as the Underground Railway House, due to its use as a stop in the Underground Railroad. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

WOFR (89.5 FM) is a radio station broadcasting a religious format. Licensed to Schoolcraft, Michigan, it began broadcasting in 2003. WOFR is an affiliate of the reorganized Family Radio network and airs several Christian ministry broadcasts from noted teachers such as RC Sproul, Alistair Begg, Ken Ham, John F. MacArthur, Adriel Sanchez, Dennis Rainey, John Piper, & others as well as traditional and modern hymns & songs by Keith & Kristyn Getty, The Master's Chorale, Fernando Ortega, Chris Rice, Shane & Shane, Sovereign Grace Music, Sara Groves, & multiple other Christian and Gospel music artists.
