The San Isidoro y San Leandro Western Orthodox Catholic Church of the Hispanic Mozarabic Rite is a Catholic church in the Alphabet City area of the East Village neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City. It was consecrated in 1892.

Green Oasis Community Garden & Gilbert's Sculpture Garden, also known as Green Oasis Community Garden, is a 17,787 square foot community garden and sculpture garden at 372 East 8th Street, located in the East Village of Manhattan, New York City.

Bullet Space is a legalized squat, artists’ collective and art gallery on the Lower East Side of New York City, founded in 1986 by Andrew and Paul Castrucci, among others. In 2009, it was legalized by the city.

Dos Blockos was a squat situated at 713 East 9th Street in Alphabet City, Manhattan, New York City. In active use as a squat from 1992 onwards, the six-story building housed up to 60 people at its peak, including Brad Will. The building funded repairs by being a set for movies including Trainspotting. The squatters were evicted in 1999 and the building was converted into a commercial apartment building.

The Jacob Riis Houses are a public housing project managed by the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) in the East Village in New York City. The project is located between Avenue D and the Franklin D. Roosevelt Drive, spanning two superblocks from 6th Street to 13th Street. The project consists of thirteen buildings, between six and 14 stories each, containing 1,191 apartment units.

New Explorations into Science, Technology and Math, abbreviated NEST+M, is a public school located on the Lower East Side of the Manhattan borough of New York City, New York, and is under the supervision of the New York City Department of Education, serving grades kindergarten through 12th grade (the only K-12 public school in Manhattan).The school exclusively enrolls New York City resident K–3 children scoring within the 97th, 98th, or 99th percentile and sixth-graders at the 95th percentile nationwide in standardized tests administered by the New York City Department of Education for their Gifted & Talented Program. It is one of only five such New York citywide programs where qualified elementary or middle school students from any school district in any borough may enroll, and also the only program with a dedicated facility (the other four programs share schools with the general education student population) and the only program serving grades K through 12. Prospective 9th and 10th-grade students apply through the NYC High School Application Process as well as their entrance exam. As of September 2017, Principal Mark Berkowitz eliminated the NEST+m entrance exam and published the new rubric on the NEST+m website. In April 2020, Principal Mark Berkowitz resigned and accepted a position as Principal at Pelham Memorial High School located in Pelham, NY. Meaghan Lynch became the interim acting principal on July 1, 2020.

Carmen Pabón del Amanecer Jardín, also known as Carmen's Garden and El Bello Amanecer Boriqueño Garden, is a 4,635-square-foot (430.6 m2) community garden at 117 Avenue C, in the East Village of Manhattan, New York City. Carmen Pabón del Amanecer Jardín is named after Carmen Pabon, a Lower East Side poet and gardener who died in 2016 at the age of 95.

Jardin de la Esperanza or Esperanza Garden was a community garden started in 1978 by Alecia Torres, a resident of New York City's Lower East Side, who began clearing rubble and trash out of an empty lot on East 7th Street, close to Ave C. The garden, later on, became a community space for growing medicinal plants, tending chickens, and a safe space for children to play.

Smith and Dimon Shipyard or just Smith & Dimon was a renowned shipyard on the east side of Manhattan during the 1840s.

Bracetti Plaza, or Mariana Bracetti Plaza, is a public housing development built and maintained by the New York City Housing Authority in Alphabet City, a section of the East Village neighborhood of Manhattan. The development is named after Mariana Bracetti (1825-1903), a legendary Puerto Rican woman who was known as the "Arms of Gold", and who was the first to craft the Boriquas Latin Cross, Puerto Rico's first flag. The flag was designed by Dr. Ramon Emeterio Betances, and is still a symbol of the Puerto Rican independence movement.Bracetti Plaza is a seven-story building on grounds measuring 1.02 acres (4,100 m2), at 251 East 3rd Street, or 290 East 4th Street. The development has 108 apartments housing approximately 312 people. Its neighborhood, the East Village, was formerly included in the Lower East Side, and is still considered the Lower East Side by some, but now the border is generally drawn at Houston Street. The block it sits in is bordered by Avenue B to the west, Avenue C to the east, East 3rd Street to the south, and East 4th Street to the north.Bracetti Plaza was completed on May 31, 1974. It is serviced by the New York City Police Department's Ninth Precinct, and is governed by Manhattan Community Board 3. As of 2010, no one is serving as the Resident Association President for Bracetti Plaza. If someone were, he or she would be a member of the Manhattan South District Citywide Council of Presidents.

La Plaza Cultural de Armando Perez (also known as La Plaza Cultural) is a community garden and public green space in the East Village neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City. Serving as a community garden, park, playground, wildlife refuge, urban farm, community composting site, and performance venue, La Plaza Cultural is also utilized by local day-care centers, after-school programs and a growing number of parents with small children. The garden has been known to grow a number of various edible plants including fruits, vegetable, and herbs. The lot is approximately 0.64 acres and consists of at least 11 members.

C-Squat is a former squat house located at 155 Avenue C (between 9th and 10th Streets) in the Alphabet City neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City that has been home to musicians, artists, and activists, among others. After a fire, it was taken into city ownership in 1978 and squatters moved in in 1989. The building was restored in 2002 and since then it has been legally owned by the occupants. Its ground-floor storefront now houses the Museum of Reclaimed Urban Space.
