Stratford High School is a public high school located in Goose Creek, South Carolina. It serves grades 9–12 and is a part of the Berkeley County School District. The school was originally built in 1981, and opened in 1983 with approximately 1100 students. An addition was added in 1998 to increase the physical capacity to 1600 students. The high school now serves over 1800 students who are housed in 113 classrooms in the main building and 16 portable classrooms outside the main building.

Ladson is a census-designated place (CDP) in Berkeley, Charleston and Dorchester counties in the U.S. state of South Carolina. The population was 13,790 at the 2010 census. It is named in honor of the Ladson family, one of the oldest planter and merchant families in the Charleston area; one of its members was lieutenant governor James Ladson.

The Coastal Carolina Fair, since 1924, is an annual fair that occurs at the Exchange Park Fairgrounds in Ladson, South Carolina. It lasts 11 days beginning on the last Thursday in October with music performances each night. Also, the fair has a variety fair rides. There are annual exhibits in Creative Arts, Two Flower Shows, Fine Art and Photography Exhibits, and Farm Animals in the Barn. The fair includes vendors in both the Agricultural and Commercial Buildings, and a food fair. The fair is an all volunteer fundraiser of The Exchange Club of Charleston. The 2013 Coastal Carolina Fair allowed The Exchange Club of Charleston to donate over $800,000 to over 90 non-profit charities in the Low Country of South Carolina.There was no fair in 2020.

Daisy Swamp is a swamp in Berkeley County, South Carolina, in the United States.Daisy Swamp was named for the Deas family of landowners.

CSU Ballpark is a baseball venue located in North Charleston, South Carolina, United States. It is home to the Charleston Southern Buccaneers college baseball team of the Division I Big South Conference. It has a capacity of 1,500 spectators.Recent renovations of the facility have improved the backstop, dugouts, and fencing. Also, new bleacher seating has increased capacity, and limited chairback seating has been added for season ticket holders. During the 2013 season, stadium lighting was installed at the facility. The project was estimated to cost $350,000, with the city of North Charleston making a sizeable contribution in return for access to the facility for events. The first night game at the facility was scheduled for April 19, 2013, against Big South rival Presbyterian. The Buccaneers hope to draw bigger name programs to play at the field in future years.

Charleston Southern University (CSU) is a private Baptist university in North Charleston, South Carolina. It is affiliated with the South Carolina Baptist Convention (Southern Baptist Convention).

Buccaneer Field House is an 881-seat multi-purpose arena in North Charleston, South Carolina. Called by many the Buc Dome, it is home to the Charleston Southern Buccaneers basketball teams. It is the second smallest arena in Division I basketball after the G. B. Hodge Center, and is one of two arenas used by the Buccaneers. For home games involving major conference teams or local opponents such as The Citadel or the College of Charleston, the team will play home games in the North Charleston Coliseum pending availability from South Carolina Stingrays hockey games.

Buccaneer Field is a 4,000-seat multi-purpose stadium in North Charleston, South Carolina. It is home to the Charleston Southern University Buccaneers football team. The facility opened in 1970, and has been the school's football stadium since 1991, when the program began.

Wide Awake is an unincorporated community in Berkeley County, South Carolina, United States. The community is located northeast of Summerville, along U.S. Route 17 Alternate. The community name was established around the early 1900s; however, the origin of the name comes from two possible expressions: The first describing the area as being wide awake politically, the second being regardless of the time of day or night, someone is wide awake to what their neighbors are doing.
