Shahid Rajaee Teacher Training University (SRTTU), is a public university in the Islamic Republic of Iran. The university is named for Mohammad Ali Rajaee, the second president of Iran. The university is located in the North East of Tehran, in the Lavizan neighborhood. The university was founded in 1980 on the premises of the former Tehran American School (1974-1979). The main mission of the Shahid Rajaee Teacher Training University is to prepare teachers to teach curriculums at technical and vocational education schools in Iran. Lavizan (Persian:لَویزان, also romanized as Lavizān) is a forest park located in Shemiranat County in Tehran Province, Iran (North East Tehran). Lavizan Forest Park is a recreation area used by people from Lavizan and Tehran. Its area is about 1100 hectares.

Gholhak or Qolhak (Persian: قلهک) is a neighborhood located in District 3 of Tehran Municipality. It is bounded on the east by the Darrous neighborhood (Fakourian Street), on the west by the Gholhak River, on the north by the British Embassy Garden, and on the south by the Pourmeshkani Street and Zafar Street (Dastgerdi). The area has had several aqueducts since ancient times, some of which are still in use. Ekhtiyariyeh (Persian: اختیاریه; also Romanized as Ekhtiyāriyeh or Extiyāriye(h)) is a neighborhood in the district of Shemiran in northern Tehran, Iran. Ekhtiarieh was a relatively small village in the suburbs of Tehran even back in the early 1960s. In the late 1960s and early 1970s, this village as well as the whole township of Shemiran became part of Greater Tehran. The neighborhood is divided into three main parts, namely the north, the center (where Ekhtiyariyeh Square is located) and the south. In the past, there were three villages around Ekhtiyariyeh. The Village of Saltanat-Abad was located in the east and south-east, The Village of Rostam-Abad was located in the west and south-west, and the Village of Farmaniyeh was located in the north of Ekhtiyariyeh. Villages of Saltanat-Abad and Farmaniyeh have disappeared altogether, but the Village of Rostam-Abad stays somewhat intact even today. After the Revolution of 1979, the former "Saltanat Abad Street" was named "Pasdaran Street", and the former "Kamran Street" was named "Dibaji Street".

Borj-e Sefid (Persian: برج سفید) is a building located in Pasdaran district in Tehran, Iran. The Borj-e Sefid (which translates to "White Tower" in English) is a high-rise building built along Pasdaran Ave, within which is contained a shopping center as well as many offices. The building has cemented Pasdaran's status as an upscale suburb of Tehran, raising the area's profile and spurring a series of developments in the surrounding areas. It is home to the revolving restaurant of Borj-e Sefid at the top floor of the building. Although the building is a center of business and commerce and is part of a trend towards increasing urbanity in the district (mainly witnessed along the district's northern edge near Farmanieh), the majority of the area's housing remains relatively suburban in nature, consisting mostly of mansions and townhomes or duplexes.

Sharifi-ha House is a modular home in Tehran, Iran. It was built in 2013 and has three wooden boxes which are rooms; the boxes can be rotated laterally. The resulting 90 degree rotation extends the living space and creates a large terrace.

The Embassy of Azerbaijan in Tehran was attacked on 27 January 2023, at around 08:00 a.m. local time. The perpetrator passed by the guard post with a Kalashnikov rifle and opened fire inside the embassy, while its staff tried to neutralize him. The head of the embassy's security service, Orkhan Asgarov, was killed in the attack, while two guards were injured. Shortly after, a suspect was detained by Iranian police. On 29 January Azerbaijan evacuated most of the embassy staff from Tehran and suspended the embassy's operation. Iranian officials did not consider the attack to be politically motivated. Iran's law enforcement agencies stated that the attack was committed on personal grounds, and that the perpetrator came to the scene with two young children, though CCTV footage released from the embassy shows that he was alone during the attack.

Pasdaran (Persian: پاسداران) is a neighborhood of northern Tehran centered on Pasdaran Avenue. This avenue connects Niavaran avenue (from the north) to Shariati avenue (in the south). It is about 8–9 km long and is a major commercial thoroughfare for northern Tehran together with northern parts of two other long streets: Valiasr Street and Shariati Street. Pasdaran in Persian means "guardians". Prior to 1979 Revolution this neighborhood was known as Saltanat Abad (سلطنت آباد), which means "built by the monarchy", and refers to the palace of the Shah (Mohammad Reza Pahlavi), situated at the northernmost tip of this street. Pasdaran Ave., along with the network of streets that extend out from it, make up the Pasdaran Neighborhood of Tehran, which includes areas like Farmaniye, Darrous, Rostam Abad, Saltanat Abad, Zarrabkhaneh, Mehran, Ekhtiyariyeh, Ehteshamiyeh, Doulat, Dibaji, and Chizar. Although business and commerce is part of a trend towards increasing urbanity in the district (mainly witnessed along the district's northern edge near Farmaniye), the majority of the area's housing remains relatively suburban in nature, consisting mostly of mansions (often stereotypically Persian palaces) and townhomes or duplexes.
