Santa Maria della Mercede e Sant'Alfonso Maria de' Liguori (once church of Santa Maria della Redemption of Captives) is a Roman Catholic church located in via San Sebastiano #1 in the historic center of Naples, Italy. It rises on the South-Eastern corner of the intersection of Via San Sebastiano - Via Santa Maria di Constantinopoli, and the Vico San Pietro da Maiella and the outlet of the Via Port'Alba, a narrow alley starting at the medieval gate of Port'Alba. The Vico San Pietro da Maiella feeds into the southernmost end of Via dei Tribunali (the Decumanus Maximus of the ancient city), corner with via San Sebastiano, and on the Vico, neighboring to the east and behind the church, stands the Conservatory of San Pietro a Majella.

The Piazza Bellini is a plaza located in central Naples, Italy. The Via Santa Maria di Costantinopoli runs along its western side. A block to the south is the Decumanus Maximus (which is also part of Via dei Tribunali). A piazza at the site was present by the 17th century, and a number of major palaces and buildings were built or now lie around the site, including the palaces of Firrao-Bisingano, Castriota Scanderbeg, and the Principi di Conca. A block north on Via Constantinopoli is the Academy of Fine Arts. The piazza is also flanked to the south by the former Monastery of Sant'Antonio delle Monache at Port'Alba, which now houses the library of the University of Naples Faculty of Letters and Philosophy in the Palazzo dei Princip di Conca. In 1886, the piazza acquired the statue by Alfonso Bazzico, depicting of the famous composer Vincenzo Bellini, who had been associated with the nearby Music Conservatory of San Pietro a Majella, located just south, on Via dei Tribunali. Initially the composer's statue towered over four female busts representing four heroines of his operas: Norma, Giulietta, Amina and Elvira, but they were detached from the site due to vandalism, and have not returned, or maybe lost. However, this is not an alien state of affairs for Naples, where so much in place today seems either lost in place or time. In 1954, and continuing in 1984, the subterranean ruins of the former western walls of the Ancient Greek city of Neapolis were uncovered, and a portion of the ruined walls has been left exposed in a gaping anachronistic canyon that fences what had become a charming modern piazza of cafes and for ambulation.

San Pietro a Majella is a church in Naples, Italy. The term may also refer to the adjacent Naples music conservatory, which occupies the premises of the monastery that used to form a single complex with the church. The church stands at the western end of Via dei Tribunali, one of the three parallel streets that define the grid of the historic center of Naples; the church is considered one of the most significant examples of Angevin architecture in Naples and was built at the wishes of Giovanni Pipino da Barletta, one of the knights of Charles II of Anjou and the one responsible for destroying the last Saracen colony on the southern peninsula, in Lucera. San Pietro a Majella was built in the early 14th century in Gotico Angioiano style and was named for and dedicated to Pietro Angeleri da Morone, a hermit monk from Maiella (near Sulmona) who became Pope Celestine V in 1294. He was the founder of the Celestine monastic order, which occupied the church until 1799, when monasteries were suppressed by the Neapolitan Republic. After the restoration of the monarchy, the monastery was reopened, but in 1826 was converted to house the San Pietro a Maiella Conservatory, a function it preserves. The church underwent restoration in the 1930s and remains an open and active house of worship. As was the case with much Angevin architecture in Naples, San Pietro a Majella underwent a Baroque make-over by the Spanish in the 17th century, but 20th-century restoration attempted to "undo" that and to restore the building to its original Gothic appearance.

Antica Pizzeria Port'Alba is a pizzeria in Naples, Italy, which is widely believed to be the world's first pizzeria.

The Port'Alba is the remnant of one of the city gates in Naples, Italy. It is located on the northwestern edge of Piazza Dante, just north of Vanvitelli's colonnade, which obscures the bastion into which the gate was carved. The gate leads from the piazza into a pedestrian alley, Via d'Alba with shops selling music instrument, books, and restaurants. The passage leads ultimately to Piazza Bellini. The gate was a late-comer to the entrances to Naples, and was opened only in 1625 by the Antonio Alvárez of Toledo, Duke of Alba, the Spanish viceroy of Naples. It was previously known as Porta Sciuscelle due to a legume that grew outside the gates.

Biblioteca di Ricerca Area Umanistica (BRAU) is the university library of the Dipartimento di Studi Umanistici of the University of Naples Federico II. It was established in 2009 but Neapolitan Baroque building dates back to 1564, designed by Paola Cappellani. It is located in Piazza Bellini in the historic city-centre of Naples, Italy.

The Palazzo Firrao or Palazzo Bisignano, once called Palazzo di Santa Agata, is a monumental palace located on Via Santa Maria di Costantinopoli number 98, facing Piazza Bellini, in central Naples, Italy.

The church of the Croce di Lucca is a religious edifice in central Naples, Italy, on the Via dei Tribunali. In 1534, the husband and wife, Andrea Sbarra and Cremona Spinelli founded at this site a monastery of the Carmelites. It was devoted to the image of the crucifix, similar to one venerated in Lucca. Two years later, the widowed Spinelli became a nun. Later endowments came from the Prince of Altamura, who had five daughters join the order: Aurelia, Maria, Elena, Eleonora, and Elisabetta del Giudice. The church we see now was decorated in the 17th century, and remains despite the demolition of the once adjacent monastery.The monastery is now replaced with medical clinics of the University of Naples. The interior was decorated on designs by Francesco Antonio Picchiatti. The nave ceiling has 16th century paintings depicting the Madonna del Carmine and Saints attributed to Giovanni Battista Caracciolo. Other works made for the church include puttini a chiaroscuro over the arches of the chapels by Giovanni Battista Rossi, pupil of Solimena. The first chapel on the left, has an Annunciation attributed to either Francesco Curia or Manchelli, a pupil of Marco da Siena. The second chapel has paintings of Saints Domenico & Monica by Nicola Malinconico. The third chapel has a Santa Maria Maddalena de’ Pazzi by the studio of Vaccaro. The altar and tabernacle are attributed to a Sanfelice in 1684. It has paintings by Giovanni Battista Rossi. The first chapel on the left had a Virgin of the Rosary by Balducci. The second, a Santa Teresa by a follower of Vaccaro. The third chapel has paintings and frescoes by Nicola Malinconico. A wooden Virgin sculpture was attributed to Domenico di Nardo. The sacristy frescoes are attributed to Lionardo Olivieri, also a pupil of Solimena.

Santa Marta is a Roman Catholic church located on Via Benedetto Croce (part of Spaccanapoli, in central Naples, Italy. It is located parallel to the convent of Santa Chiara, and stands in front of the Palazzo Filomarino della Rocca.

The Chapel of the Congregation of Monte dei Poveri (Cappella della Congregazione di Monte dei Poveri) is a Baroque-style chapel located on Via Tribunali in central Naples, Italy. The chapel is closed for services. The chapel is located inside the courtyard of the Palazzo Ricca, formerly the offices of the Monte dei Poveri, and now the offices of the historic archives of the Fondazione of the Istituto Banco di Napoli. The chapel was designed in 1663 by Don Giuseppe Caracciolo. The atrium has sculptures by Girolamo D'Auria, depicting Saints Thomas Acquinus, Januarius, and Anthony of Padua, and a canvas depicting the Holy Family by Giannantonio D’Amato. The main altar was designed in 1768 by Filippo Fasulo and completed in polychrome marble with sculptural decorations by Paolo Persico. The main altar has three paintings, a Circumcision (1673) by Luca Giordano and an Annunciation and Nativity by Francesco Solimena. The ceiling has an Immaculate Conception frescoed also by Giordano. The organ was completed in 1685 and restored in 1726. The facade was rebuilt in the 1700s using designs by Gaetano Barba and in 1751, the majolica clock and bell tower was added.
