Al Oud

Al Oud Cemetery (Arabic: مقبرة العود) is a public cemetery in al-Oud, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, known for being the resting place of many kings, crown princes and royals of the second and current Saudi states. The word "al-ʿŪud", in Peninsular Arabic means "elder (older person)", likely referring to King Abdulaziz, who was buried in the cemetery.

Gabrah or Jabrah (Arabic: حي جبرة), is a subject of Baladiyah al-Batha and one of the oldest neighborhoods that came into being after the disintegration of Hajr al-Yamamah in southern Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The area also gets synonymous with al-Batha or ad-Dirah because of its close proximity with them.

Al-Marqab (Arabic: المرقب, lit. 'watchtower'), or in Najdi vernacular pronunciation as al-Margab, is one of the oldest neighborhoods of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, located east of al-Dirah and south of Thulaim in the sub-municipality of al-Batʼha. It was referred to as Margab by the local populace, the Arabic word for watchtower in Najd, due to the fortifications of the former walled town that used to overlook the settlement from the west prior to getting dismantled in the 1950s. As the neighborhood is bounded by al-Batʼha Street to the west, its western strip partially forms part of the al-Batʼha commercial area. The early traces of its existence dates back to 16th century, which nearly corresponds with the final stages of the disintegration of Hajr al-Yamamah that resulted in the succession of several settlements from the former.

Al-Bateha (Arabic: حي البطيحة) is a subject of Baladiyah al-Batha and one of the oldest neighborhoods in southern Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, located between Jabrah and Manfuhah al-Jadidah.

Manfuhah al-Jadidah (Arabic: حي منفوحة الجديدة, lit. 'The New Manfuhah') is a subject of Baladiyah al-Batha and a residential neighborhood in southern Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It shares proximity with Skirinah neighborhood to the north and al-Yamamah and al-Manfuhah neighborhoods to the south.

The Memorial School, better known in Arabic as al-Madrasa al-Ibtidaiyah al-Tazkariyyah (Arabic: المدرسة الابتدائية التذكارية, romanized: al-Madrasah al-Āibtidāʾīīyyah al-Taḏkārīyyah, lit. 'Memorial Elementary School') and formerly as Madrasah al-Ahliyyah (Arabic: المدرسة الأهلية, romanized: Al-Madrasah Al-ʾĀhlīyyah), was a state-run boys-only public school in the al-Marqab neighborhood of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, active from 1948 to 2019. Established by King Abdulalziz ibn Saud following his 1945 trip to Egypt, it was Riyadh's first and oldest public school that was founded to provide formal education to the city's residents.

Yara International School (YIS) (Arabic: مدرسة يارا العالمية), simply sometimes Yara (Arabic: يارا), is a K–12 gender-isolated English-medium community-based private foreign school in the ad-Dirah district of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, located next to Qasr al-Hokm Metro Station in the erstwhile precincts of the Female Student Study Center of Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University. Established in 2003 by a group of businessmen, it primarily serves the local Indian diaspora and offers curriculum prescribed by the Central Board of Secondary Education. The school previously offered British curriculum alongside the Indian one from 2019 to 2023.

The Female Student Study Center – Al Batha Branch (Arabic: مركز دراسة الطالبات – فرع البطحاء, romanized: Markaz Dirāsah aṭ-Ṭālibāt – Farʿ al-Baṭʼḥāʾ) was one of the three women-only satellite campuses of Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University in ad-Dirah, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, active from 1984 to 2012. The site since 2013 is the campus of Yara International School.Established in 1984, the campus offered courses at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctorate levels in fields such as Islamic studies, mass media, Arabic literature and social psychology. It's premises were handed over to Yara International School after the relocation of students and faculty to the newly built King Abdullah City for Female Students in 2012.

Qasr Al-Hokm (Arabic: قصر الحكم) is a rapid transit station that serves the Blue and Orange lines of Riyadh Metro in the al-Qiri district of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, located south of the Qasr al-Hokm District.

Al-Salihiyah (Arabic: حي الصالحية) or al-Salhiya is a residential neighborhood and a subject of Baladiyah al-Batha in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Spread across 48 hectares, it shares borders with al-Oud neighborhood to the west and Sinaiyah Qadeem to the east. The locality is mostly inhabited by overseas workers of various nationalities, including Yemenis and Indians.

Al-Qiri (Arabic: القري, romanized: al-Qirī) or al-Jiri, is a subject of Baladiyah al-Batha and is one of the oldest neighborhoods of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It shares close proximity to al-Dirah and Jabrah neighborhoods. It is named after the al-Qiri Gate of the former city wall.

The Sultanate of Nejd (Arabic: سلطنة نجد, Salṭanat Najd) was the third iteration of the Third Saudi State, from 1921 to 1926. It was a monarchy led by the House of Saud, and a legal predecessor of modern-day Saudi Arabia. This version of the Third Saudi State was created when Abdul Aziz ibn Saud, Emir of Riyadh, declared himself sultan over Nejd and its dependencies. On the 2 December 1922, the Nejd signed an agreement with Kuwait defining their border with each other. The border would be a straight line along the 29th parallel. In December 1925, the Kingdom of Hejaz surrendered to the forces of Abdul Aziz ibn Saud, who was thereafter proclaimed king of Hejaz in January 1926 and merged his dominions into the Kingdom of Hejaz and Nejd.
