Lai Pek Shan

Wong Leng (Chinese: 黃嶺; literally: "Yellow Ridge") is on section 9 of the Wilson Trail in Pat Sin Leng Country Park, Hong Kong. It is 639 metres tall.

The 1996 Pat Sin Leng wildfire took place in Pat Sin Leng, Tai Po, New Territories, Hong Kong on 10 February, 1996 (Saturday). It was the worst wildfire in local history. The disaster killed three students and two teachers at the Hong Kong Chinese Women's Club Fung Yiu King Memorial Secondary School and injured a further 13 students. The Hong Kong Government built a "Spring Breeze Pavilion" on Pat Sin Leng to commemorate the two teachers who died saving the students in the tragedy.After the disaster, the area suffered from soil erosion, but the vegetation has since regrown.

Pat Sin Leng (Chinese: 八仙嶺) is a mountain range in the northeast New Territories of Hong Kong, located within the Pat Sin Leng Country Park. The name Pat Sin Leng literally means "Ridge of the Eight Immortals", who are eight well-known xian ("Immortals; Transcendents; Fairies") in Chinese Mythology. The eight peaks along the Pat Sin Leng mountain range are each named after a different Immortal.

Tsz Shan Monastery (慈山寺) Tsz Shan Monastery is a prominent Buddhist temple situated in Tung Tsz, Tai Po District, Hong Kong. The monastery is notable for its 76-meter tall bronze-cast statue of Guan Yin, a revered figure in Buddhism. It is located in a scenic area, with Pat Sin Leng mountain range behind it and Plover Cove Reservoir in front. The monastery covers an area of approximately 500,000 square feet. The construction of Tsz Shan Monastery was completed in April 2015, and it was opened to the public in the same month. The project was initiated by Mr. Li Ka-shing, the founder of the Li Ka Shing Foundation. The Foundation has reportedly invested over HK$3.3 billion in the project, covering costs for land acquisition, construction, and ongoing operational expenses. In 2015, following the opening of the monastery, Mr. Li Ka-shing expressed his belief in the soothing and soul-nourishing qualities of Buddhist art. Motivated by this belief, he spearheaded the development of the Tsz Shan Monastery Buddhist Art Museum, located beneath the Guan Yin statue. After extensive planning and preparation, the museum was officially opened to the public in 2019.

Lung Mei (Chinese: 龍尾) is a village in the Plover Cove area of Tai Po District, Hong Kong. It is located on the northern shore of Plover Cove in the west of Tai Mei Tuk.
