Branksome Hall is an independent day and boarding school for girls in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School and a university-preparatory school. All three IB programs are offered: the Primary Years Program (PYP), Middle Years Program (MYP), and International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (DP). It goes from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12.

The Sir Ernest MacMillan family home is a Toronto heritage property located at 115 Park Road, in the Rosedale neighbourhood of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It was the family home of Sir Ernest and Lady MacMillan (née Elsie Keith), and it was constructed during 1931 and 1932. In 1931, MacMillan and his wife commissioned Page and Steele architects of Toronto for the construction of a new home at 115 Park Road. The family home was later designated a Heritage Property, as adopted by Toronto City Council, on January 22, 1979. The house is also included in the South Rosedale Heritage Conservation District. South Rosedale was designated as a Heritage Conservation District under Part V of the Ontario Heritage Act, and also enacted by Toronto City Council, on February 7, 2003.

Rosedale is a neighbourhood in central Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It was formerly the estate of William Botsford Jarvis, and so named by his wife, granddaughter of William Dummer Powell, for the wild roses that grew there in abundance. It is located north of Downtown Toronto and is one of its oldest suburbs. It is also one of the wealthiest and most highly priced neighbourhoods in Canada. Rosedale has been ranked the best neighbourhood in Toronto to live in by Toronto Life. It is known as the area where the city's 'old money' lives, and is home to some of Canada's richest and most famous citizens including Gerry Schwartz, founder of Onex Corporation, Adrienne Clarkson, the 26th Governor General of Canada, and her husband, the author John Ralston Saul, as well as David Thomson, 3rd Baron Thomson of Fleet of the Thomson Corporation, the latter of whom is the richest man in Canada.Rosedale's boundaries consist of the Canadian Pacific Railway tracks to the north, Yonge Street to the west, Aylmer Avenue and Rosedale Valley Road to the south, and Bayview Avenue to the east. The neighbourhood is within the City of Toronto's Rosedale-Moore Park neighbourhood. The neighbourhood is divided into a north and south portion by the Park Drive Ravine.

Following the Upper Canada Rebellion of 1837 Lieutenant Governor of Upper Canada Sir George Arthur directed the construction of a Sherbourne Blockhouse, and a ring of six other blockhouses -- to guard the approaches to Toronto in case there was another rebellion. The Sherbourne Blockhouse was located at the northern end of Sherbourne Street, at the current intersection with Bloor, just south of the Rosedale Ravine. The blockhouses were two stories tall, and designed to accommodate up to 44 soldiers. The two stories were at 45 degrees to one another—a design intended to make it easier to observe in all directions. Construction of the blockhouses was budgeted at 330 British Pounds. They were completed in 1838. By 1850 they were staffed by a skeleton crew of former soldiers, who served as caretakers. The Spadina Blockhouse was demolished sometime before 1854. The Yonge Blockhouse was demolished in 1865. The Sherbourne Blockhouse was demolished in 1875. Numerous sketches of it have survived to the current day.

St. Paul's Bloor Street is an Anglican church that is located at 227 Bloor Street East in Toronto, Ontario. It is the largest church in the Diocese of Toronto of the Anglican Church of Canada.

Sherbourne is a subway station on the Bloor–Danforth line in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The station, which opened in 1966, is located west of Sherbourne Street on the south side of Bloor Street East. The station primarily serves the St. James Town neighbourhood and the southern portion of Rosedale. Wi-Fi service is available at this station. In December 2021, this station became an accessible subway station after undergoing renovations that began in August 2019.

Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church is a Lutheran Church–Canada congregation in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The church was completed in 1952, it was designed by W.E. Noffke, who was a prolific architect in Canada, he designed many Lutheran church buildings across the province. It is located at the corner of Sherbourne and Bloor Street in the northeast of the city's downtown. It was founded in 1931 as a Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod congregation, the second in the city after St. John's Lutheran Church. It originally catered to German immigrants in the city, and the services were all in German until the Second World War when it was decided to switch to English. After meeting in a number of temporary sites around the city, the church purchased land at Bloor and Sherbourne in 1943 and completed the present building in 1952. Services in German resumed, and as new immigrant groups to Canada arrived services began in other languages including Latvian and Estonian in 1952 and separate Korean services in 1988.

St. George—St. David was a provincial electoral district in Ontario, Canada that existed between 1987 and 1999 that returned Members of Provincial Parliament (MPPs) to the Legislative Assembly of Ontario at Queen's Park. The riding was created before the 1987 election when the former electoral districts of St. George and St. David were merged. It was named after St. George's and St. David's wards, which had been historical names for two wards in the City of Toronto. The riding was abolished for the 1999 provincial election.

James Cooper House is an historic house in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. In 2008, the house became the heaviest residential structural relocation in Canadian history, when it was moved 20 feet (6.1 m) east and 5 feet (1.5 m) south from its original location. The relocation took place over two phases, moving east on September 25, 2008 and south on December 11, 2008, at a reported cost of CA$1 million.The house is located at the corner of Sherbourne Street and Linden, just south of Bloor Street. It was built in 1881 for James Cooper, a wealthy importer, manufacturer, and retailer of shoes. It was one of many mansions in the Sherbourne and Jarvis area, once among Toronto's wealthiest. The eight bedroom house was opulently constructed in the Second Empire style with Classical detailing. The City of Toronto designated the structure a heritage property and affixed a Heritage Toronto plaque in 2010. After Cooper departed, the building became home to the Keeley Institute for Nervous Diseases, an organization assisting those with alcohol and substance abuse problems. In 1910, it became home to the Toronto Knights of Columbus, who used the facility as a meeting and fundraising venue for almost a century and added the assembly hall seen in the black and white photograph from 1956. Tridel development corporation purchased the building and its large lot in 2005, intending to erect a condominium tower on the site. The building would be preserved, but moved to a part of the lot about 60 feet away from its original location. The assembly hall addition would be demolished. This process began in 2008 when crews lifted the 800-ton house off its foundation and moved it to a temporary spot during construction. Tridel's new 32 storey tower is named "James Cooper Mansion," and the old house will serve as an amenities centre for the new building.

The facade walls of the postmodern building are light pink, with light green roof and light green window frames.
