River Valley Charter School

Los Coches Creek is a 9.4-mile-long (15.1 km) tributary of the San Diego River in southern San Diego County, California.It has its source 3 miles east of the community of Flinn Springs and El Cajon. It flows west through the former Rancho Cañada de los Coches area, then turns northwest to its confluence with the San Diego River.

Winter Gardens is a census-designated place (CDP) in San Diego County, California. The population was 20,631 at the 2010 census, up from 19,771 at the 2000 census.

The Museum of Creation and Earth History is a young earth creationist promotional facility opened by the Institute for Creation Research at its original headquarters in Santee, California in 1992, replacing an earlier museum located in the institute's basement. It cost $50,000, and took 2 years to complete.After the Institute for Creation Research moved from Santee to Dallas, Texas in 2008, it sold the Museum to the Life and Light Foundation, a non-profit ministry run by Tom Cantor.The exhibits claim to prove that the Earth is no older than about 10,000 years, and suggest that man and dinosaurs coexisted before Noah's flood, which also created the Grand Canyon. Also featured are an interpreted walk through the Garden of Eden with a literal depiction of the six days in the Genesis, a dark room with pictures of the planets and stars, scale models of Noah's Ark and the Tower of Babel, an Ice Age room, the Canyon Wall, describing how the Grand Canyon was formed in a matter of weeks or months, rather than the millions of years posited by most geologists, and the Hall of Scholars with pictures and biographies of scientists who believed in creationism rather than accepting evolution. It also has a display about the ICR's RATE project, an effort, in conjunction with other young Earth creationist organizations, to find evidence of a young earth. In 2013 the Museum was denied accreditation by the San Diego Museum Council.

Rancho El Cajón was a 48,800-acre (197 km2) Mexican land grant in present day San Diego County, California given in 1845 by Governor Pio Pico to María Antonia Estudillo de Pedrorena. The name means "the box" in Spanish, and refers to the valley between hills. The grant encompassed present day El Cajon, Bostonia, Santee, Lakeside, Flinn Springs, and the eastern part of La Mesa. The grant contained the 28-acre (0.11 km2) Rancho Cañada de los Coches grant.

Eucalyptus Hills is a census-designated place in the East County region of San Diego County, California. Eucalyptus Hills sits at an elevation of 627 feet (191 m). The 2020 United States census reported Eucalyptus Hills's population as 5,517, up from 5,313 in the 2010 census.

El Capitan High School (commonly known as El Cap) is a public high school in Lakeside, California, United States, a census-designated place in San Diego, and serves students in grades nine through twelve. Opened in 1959, El Capitan is the fifth of twelve high schools to be constructed in the Grossmont Union High School District. El Capitan High School is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.

On March 5, 2001, a school shooting occurred at Santana High School in Santee, California. The gunman, 15-year-old Charles Andrew Williams, opened fire with an eight-shot .22-caliber revolver, killing two students and wounding 13 others. Williams was then apprehended by responding police officers and convicted. He is currently serving 50 years to life in prison.

Edgemoor Farm Dairy Farm was built as part of a dairy farm in 1913 in Santee, California. Edgemoor was part of a Spanish land grant to Maria Antonio Estudillo who married Miguel de Pedrorena, a native of Madrid. By the 1850s, through a variety of ways, individuals obtained portions of the grant and began to farm. Walter Hamlin Dupee purchased Edgemoor Farm in 1913 and built it into a national award-winning dairy farm, polo pony ranch and early tourist attraction. Such was his prominence that the Guernsey Breeders Association in 1921 called his place "the foremost authority and breeder in the U.S.", having given the most grand champions at this ranch founded by John and Walter Dupee. Dupee said, "I am interested in pure breeding stock, modern equipment, and scientific methods, which I place at the disposal of all dairymen". A series of personal setbacks and problems brought Dupee to sell Edgemoor to Godfrey L. Strobeck.

St. John Chaldean Catholic Church is a Chaldean Catholic church located in El Cajon, California, United States. It is the third Chaldean parish in San Diego, serving the Eparchy of St. Peter the Apostle. The church building was originally owned by a non-Catholic Christian denomination before being acquired by the Eparchy.

Santee is a suburban city in San Diego County, California, with a population of 60,037 at the 2020 census. Although it is a part of the East County region, Santee is located just 18 miles (29 km) from the Pacific Ocean. The city is connected to the coastline by State Route 52, a six-lane freeway that runs from Interstate 5 in La Jolla to State Route 67 in El Cajon. The city is bisected by the San Diego River, a linear greenbelt that includes parks, trails and more than 1,100 acres (450 ha) of natural riparian habitat.

Lakeside is a census-designated place (CDP) in the East County region of San Diego County, California. The population was 21,152 at the 2020 census, up from 20,648 as of the 2010 census.
