The Jablanica Dam is an arch-gravity dam on the Neretva River about 4 km (2.5 mi) northwest of Jablanica in the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The dam was constructed between 1947 and 1955 with the primary purpose of hydroelectric power production. The power station was commissioned in two stages, from 1955 until 1958. The first generator was commissioned in February 1955. An upgrade in 2008 increased the installed capacity of the power station from 150 MW to 180 MW. The dam's power station is located about 4.4 km (2.7 mi) to the southeast near Jablanica and discharges back into the Neretva River. It contains six 30 MW Francis turbine-generators for an installed capacity of 180 MW. The difference in elevation between the reservoir and power station afford a hydraulic head (water drop) of 111 m (364 ft). The dam is 85 m (279 ft) tall and creates Jablanica lake. The dam and power station are owned and operated by Elektroprivreda Bosne i Hercegovine.

In lake there are 5 types of fishes including the most popular "pastrmka". The village was found in 1911. by local fishermen. Near Civelj is water gate Jablanica. Local inhabitants are kind and friendly. Civelj is also a good place for camping.

Baćina is a village in the municipality of Jablanica, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Doljanka River is a right tributary of Neretva river in North Herzegovina, Bosnia and Herzegovina.The length of Doljanka is around 18 km, and it descends about 400 meters in elevation. It rises from sources scattered under the far northeast slopes of Vran mountain at 1324 meters elevation. It runs through limestone canyon, which is up to 1,200 meters deep, and flows through the village of Doljani. The Doljanka flows into the Neretva River between Jablanica and Mostar, at an elevation of 300 m. It is also the connection over which trout from the Neretva crossing in Doljanka during spawning. The watershed of the Doljanka encompasses the area between the mountains Baćine in the north and Čvrsnica in the south: it is 69 km2 in area. It receives a small number of tributaries (Bijeli potok, Trn, Loznik, and Cvitan), so that water mainly comes from underground karst water. The water level of the river is slightly lower compared to other Neretva tributaries, because its riverbed is rocky and sandy, which allows brown trout and its natural food. The difference in water level in summer compared to winter is quite large.
