Fort Dunlop

Fort Parkway is a prospective new parkway railway station to the east of Birmingham, England. It has yet to be passed and is still in planning stages. It would be located on the Birmingham to Peterborough Line, nearby to the old Bromford Bridge station, and would give the east of Birmingham local commuter trains easing congestion on the roads into the city. The close proximity to the motorways would draw in longer distance passengers who wish to commute into the West Midlands conurbation. It would also provide new railway access to the Fort Shopping Centre, Fort Dunlop, Bromford, Birches Green and Ward End. The station has been called Fort Parkway instead of Bromford Bridge after the nearby A47, called Fort Parkway. All but one station (Water Orton) has been axed between Tamworth and Birmingham, leaving locals isolated, with no rail link. The station would serve these communities in addition to passengers drawn from the motorway network. It would provide Park and Ride facilities, with a large car park. It is planned to have two platforms on the existing multiple tracked line.

Castle Bromwich Assembly is a factory owned by Jaguar Land Rover. It is located on the Chester Road in Castle Vale, Birmingham, England and employs 3,200 people. The plant covers an area of 110 acres (44.5 hectares), with a 60,000 m² (6-hectare) manufacturing facility. It manufactures all Jaguar saloon and sports cars. The site was first developed as Castle Bromwich Aircraft Factory, a shadow factory for the production of aircraft by the car industry as part of the rearmament of the UK in the pre-Second World war era. After initial problems it was brought under the control of aircraft manufacturers and became one of the largest producers of aircraft during the war.

Bromford Bridge Racecourse was a racecourse in the Bromford area of Birmingham, England. Its official name was 'Birmingham'. It staged flat and national hunt racing.

Hodge Hill College is a mixed secondary school located in the Hodge Hill area of Birmingham, in the West Midlands of England.It is a non-selective community school administered by Birmingham City Council. The school serves a wide area to the north and east of the centre of Birmingham, with admission of pupils coming from some 31 different feeder primary schools.Hodge Hill College offers GCSEs and BTECs as programmes of study for pupils. The school also has a partnership with Braidwood School for The Deaf, which is located next to Hodge Hill College.

Tyburn is a ward in Birmingham, England formerly known as Kingsbury. It is part of the Erdington formal district and comprises Castle Vale, Fort Parkway in Castle Bromwich, the Pype Hayes area of Erdington, Birches Green and Tyburn Road. The significant landmarks in the area include Jaguar Cars' Castle Bromwich Assembly factory, Fort Dunlop and Pype Hayes Park. The Castle Vale Library, built in 2006, serves the area. The library was designed by Birmingham-based Associated Architects and built by the Castle Vale Housing Action Trust.

Sentinel (grid reference SP13789065) is a 16-metre-high (52 ft) sculpture by Tim Tolkien, installed upon Spitfire Island, a roundabout at the intersection of the Chester Road and the A47 Fort Parkway at the entrance to the Castle Vale estate in Birmingham, England.It is near Junction 5 of the M6 motorway and the present day Jaguar Cars plant (the former Castle Bromwich aircraft factory). It shows three Supermarine Spitfires peeling off up into the air in different directions. The half-scale Spitfires are made of aluminium, with curving steel supporting beams which act as vapour trails. It captures the dynamics of the Spitfire in flight and commemorates the nearby Castle Bromwich factory where most of Britain's wartime Spitfires were built. There are proposals to move the sculpture to a new site, near its current location, to allow for road widening.

Hodge Hill is an area 4 miles east of Birmingham City Centre, England. It is also a council constituency, managed by its own district committee. The MP of Hodge Hill is currently Liam Byrne.The constituency includes the smaller constituency ward and the wards of Bordesley Green, Shard End and Washwood Heath.

Castle Bromwich was a rural district in Warwickshire, England from 1894 to 1912. It was created by the Local Government Act 1894 based on the Aston rural sanitary district. It consisted of the parishes of Castle Bromwich, Curdworth, Minworth, Water Orton and Wishaw. The district was abolished in 1912, and the parishes added to the Meriden Rural District.

Castle Bromwich railway station was a railway station in the Castle Bromwich area of Solihull opened by the Birmingham and Derby Junction Railway in 1842. It was on the line into Birmingham Lawley Street from Water Orton. Regular passenger services finished in 1968 but afterwards occasional excursions served the station for a few years but unknown when these ceased.
