The Health Museum (Istanbul)

Fatih (Turkish pronunciation: [ˈfaːtih]) is a conservative district of and a municipality (belediye) in Istanbul, Turkey, and home to almost all of the provincial authorities (including the governor's office, police headquarters, metropolitan municipality and tax office) but not the courthouse. It encompasses the peninsula coinciding with old Constantinople. In 2009, the district of Eminönü, which had been a separate municipality located at the tip of the peninsula, was once again remerged into Fatih because of its small population. Fatih is bordered by the Golden Horn to the north and the Sea of Marmara to the south, while the Western border is demarked by the Theodosian wall and the east by the Bosphorus Strait.

Emniyet—Fatih is an underground station on the M1 line of the Istanbul Metro. It is located in west-central Fatih under Adnan Menderes Boulevard. Emniyet—Fatih was opened on 3 September 1989 as part of the first rapid transit line in Istanbul and Turkey and is one of the six original stations on the M1 line. The station services several important municipal buildings such as the Istanbul Police Headquarters, Fatih Municipal Building and the Istanbul Tax Offices Directorate.

Fenâri Îsâ Mosque (full name in Turkish: Molla Fenâri Îsâ Câmîi), in Byzantine times known as the Lips Monastery (Greek: Μονὴ τοῦ Λιβός), is a mosque in Istanbul, made of two former Eastern Orthodox churches.

Hırka-i Şerif Mosque (Ottoman Turkish: خرقه شریف جامعي, Turkish: Hırka-i Şerif Camii) is a historic mosque in Istanbul, Turkey. It takes its name from a relic, the mantle of Muhammad, which is preserved in the mosque.

Bezmialem Vakıf University, originating from the roots of Gureba-i Müslimin, the first modern hospital of the Ottoman Empire that was founded in 1845 by Bezmiâlem Mother Sultana, was transformed into a university in 2010. Bezmialem is one of the first thematic research universities in Health and Life Sciences in Turkey and also a non-profit foundation university which aims to make progress in education, research and health care. It provides education to about 3,500 students and clinical services to 8,000 patients daily with its two main hospitals and three outpatient clinics on both continents of Istanbul. Bezmialem has three Graduate Schools: Institute of Health Sciences, Life Sciences and Biotechnology, and Gastroenterology and also a Vocational School of Health Care Services, with its 14 two-year programs. Bezmialem Vakif University has four main campuses; a Phytotherapy Center, Complementary Medicine Research Center and two institutes located at the very centre of Istanbul's two continents. Bezmialem Vakif University cooperates with reputable universities in the field and provides training and education on an international level. The university has more than 100 collaborations from all over the world, including Johns Hopkins University, USA, which is among the leading universities in the field of health and education. Collaboration with Johns Hopkins University is mainly to improve the curriculum of the Faculty of Medicine with the inclusion of scholarly concentration modules and training of Bezmialem's students in their last year as clerkships in Baltimore, Maryland, USA. A number of its programs have already been accredited nationally or internationally. For the last three years, the Faculties of Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Health Sciences and Vocational School of Health Care Services have been ranked among the top universities in Turkey based on YÖK’s (The Council of Higher Education) placement (YKS) results. Bezmialem Vakıf University acts as a science university that serves the reverse brain drain with the Institutes of Health Sciences, Gastroenterology, Biotechnology and Life Sciences. Through their graduate programs, the institutes provide important contributions to the training of academicians and to developing international projects.

Mollagürani (also: Molla Gürani) is one of the 57 neighbourhoods of the municipality and district of Fatih, Istanbul Province in Turkey. Its population is 12,211 (2022). It is on the European side of Istanbul. Mollagürani is named after a cleric, a teacher, the fourth Sheikh al-Islam of the Ottoman Empire and one of the teachers of Fatih Sultan Mehmed - Molla Gürani. It has access to T1 Kabatas-Bagcilar Tram Line at the Yusufpaşa Tramway Station

Mesih Mehmed Pasha Mosque (Turkish: Mesih Mehmed Paşa Camii) is a 16th-century Ottoman mosque in the Fatih district of Istanbul. It was commissioned by one of Murad III's grand viziers, Mesih Mehmed Pasha, and designed by the imperial architect Mimar Sinan. The mosque was completed in 1585–86.

İskender Pasha Mosque (Turkish: İskender Paşa Cami), a.k.a. Terkim Masjid (Turkish: Terkim Mescidi) is a historic mosque located in Fatih district in Istanbul, Turkey.Located on Sarıgüzel Street in İskenderpaşa neighborhood of Fatih, it was endowed in 1505–06 by İskender Pasha, who lived at the time of Mehmed the Conqueror (1432–1481) and served as a vizier of Bayezid II (reigned 1481–1512). A native of Çakallı village of Vize, İskender Pasha died in 1507, so it is assumed that the mosque was built at the end of the 15th century or in the beginning of the 16th century. The mosque takes its other name "Terkim Masjid" from the Janissary barracks situated in the vicinity in the past.The mosque was repaired and restored in the years 1756, 1887, 1945 and 1956. In 1989, a two-story annex of 360 m2 (3,900 sq ft) was added to enlarge the prayer room. The 1999 İzmit earthquake, caused the spire of the minaret fell onto the main dome and caused considerable damage. The mosque underwent major repair and restoration works in 2006.

Vasat Atik Ali Pasha Mosque (Turkish: Vasat Atik Ali Paşa Camii), also known as Zincirlikuyu Mosque (Turkish: Zincirlikuyu Camii) or Karagümrük Mosque, is an Ottoman mosque located in the Karagümrük neighbourhood of the Fatih district in Istanbul, Turkey, on Fevzipaşa Street. Sultan Bayezid II's grand vizier Hadım Atik Ali Pasha, after whom the mosque is named, ordered its construction in 1502, and it was completed in 1512, one year after the grand vizier's death. The mosque is one of only two mosques in Istanbul with multiple domes, the other being Piyale Pasha Mosque, both having six domes. The mosque was known as Zincirlikuyu Mosque for a long time because of its location next to a well known as Zincirlikuyu (zincirli "chained", kuyu "well"). The minaret of the mosque collapsed in June 1648 after an earthquake. In 2013, repairs began on the minaret at a cost of 2.2 million TL ($1.03 million), expected to be completed in 2014. İskenderpaşa is a neighbourhood in the municipality and district of Fatih, Istanbul Province, Turkey. Its population is 12,024 (2022). It is in the European part of Istanbul. It is considered one of the most visited areas of Istanbul, as it is located near the shopping center of the city.

The Haseki Sultan Complex (also Hürrem Sultan Complex) (Turkish: Haseki Hürrem Sultan Külliyesi) is a 16th-century Ottoman imperial mosque complex in the Fatih district of Istanbul, Turkey. It was the first royal project designed by the chief imperial architect Mimar Sinan.

Fatih Mimar Sinan Stadium (Turkish: Mimar Sinan Stadı) is a football stadium in the Fatih district of Istanbul, Turkey. It is named after the Ottoman chief architect Mimar Sinan (c. 1488/1490–1588). The stadium is situated at Keçeci Meydanı Street in Karagümrük neighborhood of Fatih. Built in 2011, the venue is owned and operated by the Municipality of Fatih. The stadium has a capacity of 1,250 spectators including 20 seats for the press and 60 seats for VIP. The ground is covered by artificial turf, and it is equipped with floodlights for illumination.The stadium is used mainly for football matches, and it is the home ground of some of the 42 amateur football clubs in the district, as well as of Fatih Vatan Spor women's football team. The venue and the Youth and Sports Center annexed also are allocated to events organized by the municipality, including summer sports schools, physical education and training of nearby schools, the annual "1453 Conquest Cup for Chess" and the traditional "Africa Football Cup and Festival" event held annually, at which citizens of more than 15 African countries living in the district take part.
