Toddington Manor, Bedfordshire

Toddington is a large village and civil parish in the county of Bedfordshire, England. It is situated 5 miles north-north-west of Luton, 4 miles (6 km) north of Dunstable, 6 miles (10 km) south-west of Woburn, and 35 miles north-north-west of London on the B5120 and B579. It is 0.5 miles from Junction 12 of the M1 motorway and lends its name to the nearby motorway service station. The hamlet of Fancott also forms part of the Toddington civil parish. Toddington is built around a large village green, around which sit the parish church and four of the village's six public houses. The Dunstable Northern Bypass taking heavy traffic bound for Dunstable from the M1 away from the village was delayed but a restart was announced in September 2011, now due to open in 2017. A large-scale housebuilding programme has been proposed by the government for the environs of Luton, Dunstable and Milton Keynes, and proposals to build a 20,000 seat football stadium to replace Kenilworth Road were withdrawn in 2008.Toddington has experienced a rise in house prices due to its reputation as a quiet English village and the easy commute into London.For local government purposes it is in the Central Bedfordshire unitary authority, and is in the Mid-Bedfordshire parliamentary constituency, represented since 19 October 2023 by Labour MP Alistair Strathern.

Toddington Castle, today known as "Conger Hill Motte", is an artificial earthen mound located in the village of Toddington, in the county of Bedfordshire, England.

Dropshort Marsh is a 2.7-hectare (6.7-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest in Toddington in Bedfordshire. It was notified under Section 28 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 in 1985, and the local planning authority is Central Bedfordshire Council. The site is managed by the Wildlife Trust for Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire.This marsh has a variety of habitats, including a scarce quaking bog. Many species are now uncommon due to changes in agricultural practices. it has several springs, with floating sweet-grass and brooklime and areas dominated by rushes. Species in drier areas include field woodrush, and there are also mature hedges and pollarded willows.There is access from Dunstable Road, opposite Dropshort Farm.

The Church of All Saints is a Grade I listed church in Chalgrave, Bedfordshire, England. It became a listed building on 3 February 1967. The church, dedicated to All Saints, is an old structure, its consecration recorded as taking place in 1219. It features a nave, chancel, and aisles. The large square tower contains three bells. The nave has five bays. Some of the arches are Early English Period, with foliage decorated capitals, while other capitals are moulded. The register dates from the year 1539. Its fittings include two antique tombs with statues of knights in armour. The interior also features a faded wall painting featuring various saints.

Tingrith is a small village and civil parish in Bedfordshire, England. It is located adjacent to the M1 motorway near the large village of Toddington. The nearest major town is Luton, located about 10 miles (16 km) to the southeast. The parish church of St Nicholas dates back to the 13th century and has Tingrith's only cemetery. The church can seat up to 200 people.Tingrith had a population of 153 people – a ratio of 78:75 males to females, according to the 2011 census.Tingrith is mentioned in the Domesday Book; the entry states Tingrei: Thorgils from Nigel d'Aubigny

Chalgrave Castle stood to the south of the large village of Toddington, Bedfordshire. This was a timber motte and bailey castle, constructed in two phases, built during the 11th century (around 1086). By the 13th century, it had been abandoned. The site was excavated in 1970, but has since been completely leveled. Nothing visible remains.

The Church of St Nicholas is a Grade I listed church in Tingrith, Bedfordshire, England. It became a listed building on 23 January 1961.The brown sandstone walls date from the 15th century; the tracery of the windows is of white freestone.

The A5120 is an A-class road in Bedfordshire, linking the conjoined towns of Ampthill and Flitwick to the M1 motorway at Toddington. It connects with the M1 at junction 12 in close proximity to the Toddington services. On its route from Ampthill to Toddington, the A5120 serves Westoning and Harlington. Unusually for an A-road, it does not meet another A-road at any point between its start on the A507 and its end at the M1 J12. The route previously ran to the old A5 Watling Street at Dunstable (now the A5183), however upon the opening of the A5 Dunstable Northern Bypass, the section between the M1 and the new junction A5 was downgraded to the B5120, about halving the length of the route.

Fancott is a hamlet located in the Central Bedfordshire district of Bedfordshire, England.The settlement forms part of the Toddington civil parish, and is also close to Chalgrave and Chalton. "The Fancott" public house is situated in Fancott, and is the location of the Fancott Miniature Railway. At the 2011 Census the population of the hamlet was included in the civil parish of Chalgrave

Tebworth Marsh is a 5.6-hectare biological Site of Special Scientific Interest north of Tebworth in Bedfordshire. It was notified under Section 28 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, and the local planning authority is Central Bedfordshire Council.This site is a base-rich marsh which has diverse plant life. It has springs along the edge of glacial gravel, and this produces wet marsh which is dominated by meadowsweet. Other habitats are neutral grassland, swamp carr woodland, mature ash woodland, a stream and hedgerows. Clipstone Brook forms its western boundary.There is access to the site by a track from Tebworth.
