Seppiana

Borgomezzavalle is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola in the Italian region Piedmont. As of 2019 the population was 320.It was established on 1 January 2016 by the merger of the municipalities of Seppiana and Viganella. Borgomezzavalle borders the following municipalities: Antrona Schieranco, Calasca-Castiglione, Montescheno, Pallanzeno, Villadossola. In January 2019, in order to reverse the declining population in the village, Alberto Preioni, mayor of Borgomezzavalle, announced a plan to sell abandoned mountain cottages for just €1, (about US$1.20). With the purchase comes the obligation to renovate the building, there is no residency requirement. He also offered to pay families €1,000 for each new baby born in the village and €2,000 to someone starting a new business and who registers for VAT.

Montescheno is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 120 kilometres (75 mi) northeast of Turin and about 30 kilometres (19 mi) northwest of Verbania. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 452 and an area of 22.5 square kilometres (8.7 sq mi).The municipality of Montescheno contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Barboniga, Cad Mater, Cat Pera, Cresti, Croppo, Ovesco, Progno, Sasso, Selve, Valeggia, Vallemiola, and Zonca. Montescheno borders the following municipalities: Antrona Schieranco, Bognanco, Borgomezzavalle, Domodossola, Villadossola.

Villadossola (Piedmontese Vila d'Òssola) is a town and comune of the Val d’Ossola in the Province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola, Piedmont, northern Italy, some 120 kilometres (75 mi) northeast of Turin. It stands just south of Domodossola, to the west of the Toce, and at the mouth of the picturesque Valle Antrona, one of the seven side valleys of the Val d’Ossola. In the past this was an important centre for the iron and steel, and chemical industries. Today the local economy is focused on the tertiary sector and many of the industrial buildings have been converted to other uses: the town's theatre, La Fabbrica, is based in a former factory. Villadossola borders the following communes: Beura-Cardezza, Borgomezzavalle, Domodossola, Montescheno, Pallanzeno.

Pallanzeno borders the following municipalities: Beura-Cardezza, Borgomezzavalle, Calasca-Castiglione, Piedimulera, Villadossola, Vogogna.

Piedimulera is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 110 kilometres (68 mi) northeast of Turin and about 25 kilometres (16 mi) northwest of Verbania. Piedimulera is described as a village located on the left bank of the river Anza, at the foot of the mountain, called Mulera.Piedimulera borders the following municipalities: Calasca-Castiglione, Pallanzeno, Pieve Vergonte, Vogogna, Seppiana.

Val Bognanco (Bognanco Valley) is a valley of the Alps, situated in the Pennine range. The valley is drained by the Bogna, a tributary of the Toce at Domodossola that in turn drains into Lake Maggiore. The west side of the valley is mountain ridge that is attached to the main chain of Pennine Alps at Pizzo di Andolla and stretches from Northwest to Southeast. This ridge separates the Diveria river from Bogna. Multiple mountains surrounding the valley are higher than 2,500 meters, and include Pizzo Straciugo (2,713 m, 8,901 ft), Cima del Rosso (2,609 m, 8,560 ft), Pizzo Pioltone (2,610 m, 8,560 ft), and Cima d'Azoglio (2,558 m, 8,392 ft). The ridges around the valley contain multiple passes that used to be important to the economy of the valley in the past, including the Monscera Pass (2,103 m, 6,900 ft) and the Pontimia Pass (2,381 m, 7,812 ft) connecting to Simplon Valley. The valley is known for the springs and spa center of Terme di Bognanco, located at Bognanco Fonti. The valley is located in the Province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola, in the Piedmont region of Italy. It belongs to a single municipality, Bognanco.

The Ovesca is a 26.5-kilometre (16.5 mi) Alpine torrent of the Ossola in northern Italy. It flows from the Lago di Antrona through the Valle Antrona and into the river Toce, of which it is a right tributary.

Pieve Vergonte is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola in the Piedmont region of Italy. It is about 20 kilometres (12 mi) northwest of Verbania and 110 kilometres (68 mi) northeast of Turin.

The Anza is a 35-kilometre (22 mi) Alpine torrent of the Ossola in northern Italy. It flows from the glaciers of Monte Rosa through the Valle Anzasca and into the river Toce, of which it is a right tributary. Its own principal tributaries are the Pedriola, the Tambach, the Orlovono and the Quarazza near Macugnaga and the Olocchia at Bannio Anzino.

The Sacred Mount Calvary of Domodossola (also known as Sacro Monte Calvario) is a Roman Catholic sanctuary on the Mattarella Hill, overlooking Domodossola (Piedmont, northern Italy). It is one of the nine Sacri Monti of Piedmont and Lombardy, included in the UNESCO World Heritage list. It was built in 1657 in response to the wishes of the Capuchin friars, Gioacchino da Cassano and Andrea da Rho. The chapels, dedicated to the Via Crucis, are positioned along a devotional route which starts on the outskirts of Domodossola and ends at the summit of Mount Mattarella. The sanctuary on the summit was consecrated in 1690 and in 1828 the philosopher priest, Antonio Rosmini, founded the Institute of Charity. Over the centuries the Sacred Mountain has undergone various modifications, rebuilding and restoration including, in 1957, the wooden statues in chapels 3, 5, 6 and 7. It is a stop-over on the CoEur devotional path.

Beura-Cardezza is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 120 kilometres (75 mi) northeast of Turin and about 25 kilometres (16 mi) northwest of Verbania. Beura-Cardezza borders the following municipalities: Domodossola, Pallanzeno, Premosello-Chiovenda, Trontano, Villadossola, Vogogna. Its territory is included in the National Park of Val Grande.

Vogogna is a comune (municipality) at the heart of the Val d’Ossola in the Province of Verbano Cusio Ossola, Piedmont, Italy, about 20 kilometres (12 mi) north-west of Verbania. The municipality (population 1,785 as of 2010) is centred on the town of Vogogna and extends over an area of 15.28 square kilometres (5.90 sq mi), partly within the Val Grande National Park; the elevation varies between 211 and 2,018 metres (692 and 6,621 ft) above sea-level. Outlying settlements (frazioni) within the municipality include Prata, Dresio and Genestredo. The surrounding municipalities are Beura-Cardezza, Pallanzeno, Piedimulera, Pieve Vergonte and Premosello-Chiovenda. It is one of I Borghi più belli d'Italia ("The most beautiful villages of Italy").
