Steinbachtal Dam

Holzbach is a small river of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is a right tributary of the Erft, south of Euskirchen.

Arloff Castle (German: Burg Arloff) is on the river Erft in the village of Arloff, part of the borough of Bad Münstereifel in the county of Euskirchen, in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. The buildings of the former water castle of Arloff, which today look somewhat ordinary by the River Erft, belong to the typologically important castles of the Rhineland, because such a well preserved example of a purpose-built fortification from the Early Gothic period is rare. It was originally surrounded by moats which were fed by the Erft. In the Middle Ages it was of strategic importance due to its location, because it was situated on the border between the Electorate of Cologne and the County of Jülich.

In the south it borders on the state of Rhineland-Palatinate. It has an area of 237 km² and lies at a height of between 200 and 500 m above sea level (NHN).

The Mueller Cloth Mill, located in Euskirchen, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany is a section of the LVR Museum of Industry (formerly: Rheinisches Industriemuseum). The museum provides insight into the production process of a cloth mill by showing fully working machinery and equipment from around 1900. Opened in 2000, the museum preserves the mill's state at its shutdown in 1961. LVR Industrial Museum Mueller Cloth Mill is an ‘Anchor Point’ of the European Route of Industrial Heritage and a central stop on the ‘Wool Route’.

Odendorf is a village in Germany, located in the municipality of Swisttal in the Rhein-Sieg district of North Rhine-Westphalia. The village is situated approximately 20 km (12 mi) southwest of Bonn. As of 2007, the village had 3,581 inhabitants.

The Alte Burg (also Alte Burg im Quecken or Alte Burg "am Quecken") in Bad Münstereifel, Germany, is a circular rampart that is the remains of a fortification from the Carolingian period. The refuge castle acted as a place of retreat for the local population and as protection for the daughter monastery of Prüm Abbey. The defences dating to the 9th century have been designated as a protected monument. The castle site lies within the county of Euskirchen in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. The spur castle site lies northeast of the town centre on a hill spur, the second Quecken, above the Erft valley east of the B 51 federal highway at a height of 315 to 363 metres (1,033 to 1,191 ft). It is 300 metres (980 ft) long and 80 metres (260 ft) wide, excluding the outworks. There were at least two periods of construction. In the northeast is a motte. In the highest section of the site, the rubble stone foundation of a round tower has survived. In the 19th century a silver coin bearing the image of Louis the Pious is supposed to have been found here; it has not survived. In 1972 parts of the site were archaeologically investigated. During the excavations shards of pottery from the 9th century with decorations (Rollrädchenverzierung) were discovered.
