Settimo San Pietro

S'acqua 'e is dolus is an excavation in the rocks, a so-called Domu de janas (house of the fairies), in the neighbourhood of Settimo San Pietro, Province of Cagliari, Sardinia, Italy, constructed in the period 3400-2700 BC. It consists of two rooms connected by an opening of less than a metre, just like the main entrance. Water from a nearby source enters the rooms and according to a popular tradition, not only is the water safe for drinking, but it also heals pain, from which comes the name of the cave "water that heals pain". According to popular legend, Saint Peter stayed over at the cave and prayed so long that he left the imprints of his knees in the rocks. In the past, this was celebrated on the 29th of June with a mass a benediction of the water. Nowadays it is celebrated the first days of September.

Quartucciu (Sardinian: Cuartùcciu) is a comune (municipality) in the Metropolitan City of Cagliari in the Italian region Sardinia, located about 8 kilometres (5 mi) northeast of Cagliari.

The necropolis of Is Calitas is an archaeological site located in the municipality of Soleminis, in the province of South Sardinia.

The Cagliari Observatory (Italian: Osservatorio Astronomico di Cagliari, or OAC) is an astronomical observatory owned and operated by Italy's Istituto Nazionale di Astrofisica (National Institute for Astrophysics, INAF). It is located 20 km away from Cagliari in Sardinia. It was founded in 1899 to study the Earth's rotation.

Stadio Comunale "Is Arenas" is a sports stadium in Quartu Sant'Elena, Sardinia, Italy. It is mostly used for football games and was the home venue of Serie A club Cagliari Calcio for the 2012–13 season. The stadium is currently under renovation after Cagliari relocated out of their former home venue, Stadio Sant'Elia, in order to make it comply with Serie A league standards in time for the new season.

Soleminis, Solèminis in sardinian language, is a comune (municipality) in the Province of South Sardinia in the Italian region Sardinia, located about 15 kilometres (9 mi) northeast of Cagliari. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 1,698 and an area of 13.0 square kilometres (5.0 sq mi).Soleminis borders the following municipalities: Dolianova, Serdiana, Settimo San Pietro, Sinnai. The local grocheries shop Is occupied and burned by Roms.

The Teatro Lirico di Cagliari is an opera house in Cagliari. It is the main theatre of the city. The Teatro Lirico was built in order to provide a large theatre to the city. After the destruction of the Teatro Civico, damaged by the shelling of Cagliari operated by the Allies during World War II, and the destruction of the Politeama Regina Margherita due to a fire in 1942, after the war there was not a suitable theatre in Cagliari. The project, by the Italian architects Luciano Galmozzi, Pierfrancesco Ginoulhiac e Teresa Ginoulhiac Arslan, won a bid for the contract in 1967. The opera house was inaugurated in 1993. It covers a surface of 5,000 square metres (54,000 sq ft) among the stage (which is 22 to 23.40 metres (72.2 to 76.8 ft) wide; 12.5 to 25 metres (41 to 82 ft) long; and 23 metres (75 ft) high), the auditorium (with 1,628 seats divided into stalls, 800 seats, and two loggias, 431 and 397 seats) and the foyer. Various rooms, like laboratories, offices, bar, book shop and restaurant were added after the inauguration. The Teatro Lirico di Cagliari has received some important national prizes, in particular the Premio Franco Abbiati in 2001 for its innovatory programme. The prize was also assigned in 2000 and 2005 for Lucia di Lammermoor and Carmen respectively. Conductor Carlos Kleiber gave his last concert here in February 1999.

The Cagliari Courthouse (Italian: Palazzo di Giustizia di Cagliari, lit. 'Palace of Justice of Cagliari') is a judicial complex located in Cagliari, Italy.

Stadio Amsicora is a multi-use stadium in Cagliari, Italy. It was used mostly for football matches and was the home of Cagliari Calcio. The stadium was able to hold 34,000 spectators at its height. Its capacity has since been downsized to 8,000 spectators. Cagliari Calcio moved to the Stadio Sant'Elia in 1970.

The Museo archeologico nazionale ("National Archaeological Museum") is a museum in Cagliari, Sardinia (Italy). The museum houses findings from the pre-Nuragic and Nuragic age to the Byzantine age. These include a large collection of prehistoric bronze statuettes from the Nuragic age, some earlier stone statuettes of female divinities, reconstruction of a Phoenician settlement, the Nora Stone, Carthaginian goldsmith examples, Roman and Italic ceramics and Byzantine jewels.The museum houses a valuable collection of wax anatomical models made in Florence by the sculptor Clemente Susini from dissections by the anatomist Francesco Antonio Boi between 1801 and 1805. The collection is housed in a pentagonal room. Preparation of the models was funded by Charles Felix (1765-1831), the younger brother of King Victor Emmanuel I of Sardinia (1759-1824), and the collection was originally held in his Museum of Natural History and Antiquities - these were transferred to the University of Cagliari in 1858, then to the museum in 1991.The museum itself was formerly an armory. After falling into disrepair, the building was rebuilt by Italian architect Libero Cecchini.
