McGovern Park (formerly known as Emerald GAA Grounds) is the current headquarters, and principal Gaelic games facility, of the London GAA. It is situated in South Ruislip, west London and the facilities are managed by Veritable Venue Management. The stadium is the current venue for the finals of the London football and hurling championships, and the Nicky Rackard Cup (Level 2A), as well as British inter-provincial titles among Warwickshire, Gloucestershire, Scotland, Hertfordshire, Yorkshire and Lancashire.

Down Barns Moated Site is a Scheduled Ancient Monument in Northolt in the London Borough of Ealing. It is the site of a medieval manor house, which does not survive, but the moat does. It was probably in existence by 1388, and is thought to have been abandoned in the sixteenth century. Excavations were undertaken in the 1950s and 1960s, but the results are not known. Pottery previously excavated here was originally identified as Saxon, but now thought to be prehistoric.

The 1942 Ruislip Wellington accident occurred on 18 October 1942 when a Vickers Wellington 1C medium bomber of No. 311 Squadron RAF crashed near South Ruislip station, Middlesex, on approach to RAF Northolt. The crash killed all 15 people aboard the aircraft, and six civilians on the ground including four children.

A 2017 estimation put the population of South Ruislip ward as 13,150 residents.The population, according to the 2001 UK census, was 10,823. By 2008, this had reached 11,116.

St Mary's Church in South Ruislip is a Church of England parish church in the London Borough of Hillingdon. It was designed by the architect Laurence King in Festival of Britain style and constructed between 1957 and 1959, with structural engineering by Ove Arup and Partners. It was Grade II listed by Historic England in 2022.

Islip Manor Meadows is a 23.75 hectare Local Nature Reserve and Site of Metropolitan Importance for Nature Conservation in Northolt in the London Borough of Ealing. It is owned and managed by Ealing Council.Islip Manor was named after the Ruislip family, who owned the estate in the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries. It was part of Northolt Manor until about 1690, when it was sold to Charles Hawtrey. It was farmland until the end of the nineteenth century, and in 1880 it was producing 100 tons of hay a year. In 1928 it was sold to Ealing Council, and now forms part of the Metropolitan Green Belt.The site is a wet meadow which is divided into fields by thick hedges. The ecology is diverse, with over twenty grass and ten leguminous species. Uncommon plants include ragged-robin, lesser spearwort and oval sedge. The site also has the protected great crested newt.There is access by a stile at the end of Arnold Road.

Queensmead School is a co-educational secondary school with academy status located on Queens Walk, South Ruislip, in the London Borough of Hillingdon, England. In 2009, Queensmead established a federation with Northwood School. It offers a wide range of subjects with multiple sports grounds.

Ruislip Gardens is an area in the London Borough of Hillingdon.

Ruislip Gardens is a London Underground station. It lies on the Central line, between West Ruislip and South Ruislip, in Travelcard Zone 5. The closest stations on the Metropolitan line and Piccadilly line are Ruislip and Ruislip Manor. The station serves RAF Northolt.
