7th-8th Street & Nicollet is a bus rapid transit station on the METRO C Line and upcoming D Line in downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota. The station is located at the intersection of Nicollet Mall, with the northbound platform located on 7th Street and the southbound platform on 8th Street. The platforms are referred to as 7th Street & Nicollet and 8th Street & Nicollet, respectively. The station is located within the Downtown Minneapolis Fare Zone, where riders can travel in the zone for 50¢ with no transfers. As with every METRO station, the both platforms are fully accessible, and feature real-time information, shelters, and heating.

The US Bancorp Center is a 467-ft (142 m) tall skyscraper in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Completed in 2000, the 32-story building is the 13th-tallest in the city. It serves as corporate headquarters for US Bancorp, US Bank and Piper Sandler. A skyway connects the building to the former Macy's/Daytons department store building, and Target. Several low-rise buildings were demolished to make way for this building, including the 808 Building. This is one of the three contiguous blocks designed by Ellerbe Becket from 1998–2001. The other two are 900 Nicollet Plaza and Target Plaza. It is the second-tallest office building completed in the US in 2000, after the Ameriprise Financial Center, also in Minneapolis.

PwC Plaza is a 475-ft (145 m) tall skyscraper in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It was completed in 1987 and has 36 floors. It is the tallest mixed-use building in Minneapolis and contains offices, including the Minneapolis office of London-based professional services firm PricewaterhouseCoopers and the Royal Sonesta Minneapolis Downtown hotel.

The Minneapolis YMCA Central Building is a 12-story YMCA building in downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It is built in the Gothic Revival style, making it stand out from other buildings. The Gothic styling was chosen to emphasize the vertical mass of the structure and to make it appear as a powerful corporate symbol. The styling also brought a symbolic association with church architecture, making it fit into the YMCA's value system.The building was converted into a 121-unit apartment complex in 1994. It is located adjacent to LaSalle Plaza, a 30-story office building that includes the current, modern Minneapolis YMCA location.

RSM Plaza is a 320-foot (98 m) tall skyscraper in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Formerly known as McGladrey Plaza, it was completed in 1969 and has 20 floors. In October 2015, the building was renamed RSM Plaza after its largest tenant, McGladrey, changed its own name to RSM. It is the 30th-tallest building in the city and is located on Nicollet Mall. At the time of its completion, the building was the fifth-tallest structure in Minneapolis and the city's second-tallest post-World War II high-rise, behind Canadian Pacific Plaza. The building is skyway connected to The Metro Apartments, the Medical Arts Building and the IDS Center.The building was bought by GOLUB, an international real estate investment and development company, in December 2015. The structure has a floor area of 416,000 square feet (38,600 m2) and an 870-space parking ramp. Major tenants of the building include RSM, Clorox, Colgate-Palmolive, and Portico Benefits. RSM Plaza served as the home of the fictional WJM-TV station of The Mary Tyler Moore Show, an American sitcom that was broadcast on CBS from 1970 to 1977. The opening title sequence was filmed nearby on Nicollet Mall.

Nicollet Avenue is a major street in Minneapolis, Richfield, Bloomington, and Burnsville in the U.S. state of Minnesota. It passes through a number of locally well-known neighborhoods and districts, notably Eat Street in south Minneapolis and the traffic-restricted Nicollet Mall in downtown Minneapolis.

KFAI (90.3 FM Minneapolis) is a community radio station in Minnesota. The station broadcasts a wide variety of music, and also airs programming catering to many of the diverse ethnic groups of the region. KFAI has frequently been honored by local media critics for its shows and musical diversity (for instance, the local alternative weekly City Pages has frequently included it in the annual "Best of the Twin Cities" awards). The station offers public access services, so they encourage anyone in the community to make their own show and have it broadcast over the air. The station is part of Minnesota's AMPERS network and, since it covers the largest population, is considered by many to be the group's flagship station. The call sign stands for Fresh Air, Inc., the non-profit organization that owns KFAI. KFAI's studios are located on Riverside Avenue in Minneapolis, while its transmitter is located atop the IDS Center in downtown Minneapolis.

LaSalle Plaza is a Class A skyscraper located in downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota that is 387 ft (118 metres) tall . Designed and developed in 1991 around the pre-existing Historic State Theatre, the complex includes a thirty-story office tower and a two-story retail base featuring office and retail spaces. LaSalle Plaza is the 20th-tallest building in the city and fills an entire city block, bound (clockwise) by 8th Street S, LaSalle Avenue, 9th Street S, and Hennepin Avenue. Adjacent to the State Theatre and the LaSalle Apartments, the building is skyway connected to 811 LaSalle, Residence Inn Downtown Minneapolis/City Center, Target Center, Target Field, the University of St. Thomas, and Target.

The Minneapolis Forum Cafeteria was located at 36 South 7th Street originally constructed in 1914 as the Saxe Theater, later the Strand Theater. A 1930 reconstruction created a cafeteria with a stunning Art Deco interior of black onyx and pale green tiles, sconces, chandeliers, and mirrors with a Minnesota-themed motif: pine cones, waterfalls, and Viking ships.The cafeteria did not outlive the era of fast food and closed its doors in August 1975. Threatened with redevelopment, the building was placed on the National Register of Historic Places on March 16, 1976. Three months later the old Forum opened as Scottie's on Seventh, a disco nightclub that retained the Art Deco style of the Forum. When the venue was again threatened with demolition to make way for the Minneapolis City Center project, preservationists brought suit; the developers were ordered to disassemble the 3500 pieces of glass and reassemble the Art Deco interior within a new space in City Center.Thus relocated to 18 South 7th Street, Scottie's on Seventh reopened in 1983 but closed in 1985. It got delisted from NRHP in 1987. Several restaurants have since occupied the space since then: the Paramount Cafe, Mick's, Goodfellow's from 1996 to 2005, The Forum, and most recently Il Foro which opened in June 2015 and closed in May 2016. In 2018 a brand-new restaurant, Fhima's, opened in this space with a French-Moroccan influenced menu.

W227BF (93.3 FM) is a translator broadcasting Black Information Network programming from the HD2 subcarrier of iHeartMedia's KQQL. Licensed to Shoreview, Minnesota, it serves the Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan area inside the I-494/I-694 beltway. The station is owned by iHeartMedia. All the offices and studios are located in St. Louis Park and the transmitter is atop the IDS Center in downtown Minneapolis.

WTMS-CA (channel 7) was a low-power, Class A television station licensed to Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States, serving the Twin Cities area. Owned by Silver Point Capital of Greenwich, Connecticut, it was affiliated with Telefutura, making it one of two Spanish-language television stations in Minnesota, alongside sister station and Univision affiliate WUMN-LP (channel 13). It had also aired the Daystar Television Network, and been a ShopNBC affiliate. On June 25, 2008, Equity disclosed that it was selling WTMS to Luken Communications, LLC.Equity Media Holdings has been in Chapter 11 bankruptcy since December 2008 and offers by Luken Communications to acquire Equity-owned stations in six markets have since been withdrawn.WTMS was sold at auction to Silver Point Capital on April 16, 2009. The sale closed on August 17, 2009; just a week later, on August 25, the station's license was canceled. As of February 7, 2010, however, WTMS-LD, a construction permit for a digital companion channel, remained active. This construction permit has since expired and the station is now listed as DWTMS, and is marked for deletion from the FCC database.

KNOF (95.3 MHz) is a non-profit FM radio station licensed to St. Paul, Minnesota, and serving the Twin Cities area. The station is broadcasts a Christian Contemporary radio format and is owned by Christian Heritage Broadcasting, Inc. KNOF's radio studios and offices are on Elliot Avenue in Minneapolis. KNOF has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 900 watts (horizontal polarization) and 820 watts (vertical). The transmitter is located atop the IDS Center.
