The Indian High School is a CBSE-affiliated Indian school in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It was established in 1961 to provide education to the children of Indian expatriates and was the first expatriate educational institution in the UAE. The school is one of the small number of not-for-profit schools in the emirate, and is rated "Very Good" by Dubai's KHDA. It is the oldest, largest educational institution in the Persian Gulf region.

The English Language School (ELS), also known as English Language Private School and formerly known as English Medium School, was established in April 1978 in order to cater to the growing educational needs of people in UAE, especially Muslim and Asian people.

Lycée Français International de Dubaï or Lycée Français International de l’AFLEC is a French international school in Dubai. It serves levels maternelle until lycée. It is one of five schools operated by the Association Franco-Libanaise pour l’Éducation et la Culture (AFLEC). It opened in 2002. As of 2016 43% of the students are French, 15% are Lebanese, and 42% are of other nationalities.

St. Mary's Catholic High School (SMCHS) was established in the year 1968 by Fr. Eusebius Daveri. It is located in the city of Dubai, and is one of the oldest schools in the UAE. Affiliated with the church, the school has a very evident Catholic background.

Al-Maktoum Stadium (Arabic: ملعب آل مكتوم) is a multi-purpose stadium in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of Al Nasr SC. The stadium holds roughly 15,000 people. It was upgraded for the 2019 AFC Asian Cup.

Rashid Hospital (in Arabic: مستشفى راشد) is a 786-bed general medical/surgical hospital in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, and is a part of the Dubai Health Authority. Built in 1973, it is the city's second oldest hospital, and is located on the Oud Metha Road adjacent to Dubai Creek.The new Trauma Centre at the hospital was completed in mid-2006 after a 7-year period since it was proposed. It can handle 7 ambulances simultaneously. The complex includes a medical library. In July 2006, the DOHMS (now DHA) announced a US$272 million (AED1 billion) plan to build a new 500–700 bed 30,000 m2 hospital within available space in the current complex. The Rashid Hospital deals with some of the heaviest volume of major trauma in the world with on average 3 to 5 cases of severe polytrauma presenting each day. The hospital's Trauma Centre is the busiest in the region, and saw more than 166,000 patients in 2013 and evaluates between 480 and 550 patients on a daily basis. Through the end of 2012, the highest number of patients seen in a single day was 580.In 2013, plans were announced for expansion of Rashid Hospital's Trauma Centre that would add 116 rooms and 160 beds to the facility. The expansion will also add 2 floors to the existing structure. As of January 2015 it was being reported that the target for completion of the expansion May 2015.The Rashid Hospital expansion is only phase 1 of a larger ‘master plan’ that will see AED3 billion spent on 6 new specialized health centres, 2 hotels, and additional villas and apartments for staff, in addition to a mosque, lake and landscaped open space. Furthermore, the main hospital will be rebuilt to consist of three 300-bed towers, bringing total capacity to 900 beds. The Iranian Club Dubai (Arabic: النادي الإيراني دبي; Persian: باشگاه ایرانیان دبی) is a social club complex located in the Oud Metha area of Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It is funded by the Iranian government and is run by the Iranian community in Dubai.

Oud Metha (Arabic: عود ميثاء), or Al Nasr (Arabic: النصر) is a locality in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE). Although a small residential locality, has several commercial and entertainment complexes, schools and cultural clubs. Al Nasr is bordered by the localities of Al Karama, Umm Hurair 2 and Zabeel. It is the home of Al-Nasr Sports Club, a football club of the UAE League based in Dubai. In addition, several expatriate schools such as Dubai Gem Private School, GEMS Winchester School, The Indian High School, Dubai, Al Rashed Al Saleh Private School and St. Mary's Catholic High School as well as cultural clubs such as the India Club, the Iranian Club, the Sudanese Social Club and the Pakistani Association of Dubai are located in this area. The French international school Lycée Français International Georges Pompidou maintains a maternelle (preschool) campus in Oud Metha.The Dubai Metro's Green Line also has a station at Oud Metha.

Al Maktoum Bridge (in Arabic: جسر آل مكتوم; also known in Arabic as جسر المكتوم) is a bridge that crosses Dubai Creek in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It is one of six crossings on the creek and was the first bridge/crossing in Dubai. The others are Al Shindagha Tunnel, Floating Bridge, Al Garhoud Bridge and Business Bay Crossing. The Dubai Metro also goes under the creek. Opened in 1963, this bridge enabled people to cross from Bur Dubai to Deira, or vice versa, without using a boat ferry called Abra or going all the way around Dubai Creek. To pay for the bridge, a toll was applied to vehicles crossing the creek going from Deira to Bur Dubai. There was no toll for people travelling in the other direction. Once the bridge was fully paid for in 1973, the toll was removed.The bridge, and roads leading to it, underwent a widening in 2007. The bridge was widened to increase the bridge's capacity and to ease congestion. The new lanes were opened on 7 November 2007, and increased the capacity to 9,500 vehicles per hour.The road toll (called Salik), was re-introduced on the Al Maktoum Bridge on 9 September 2008 for both directions. The toll will not be charged when the Floating Bridge is closed (from 10pm to 6am from Saturday to Thursday).
