Bective Abbey

Bective (Irish: Beigthigh; sometimes known as Bective Bridge or Ballina) is a small hamlet and townland in County Meath, Ireland. Bective is situated on the left bank of the River Boyne and on the Clady River which joins the former in the east of the townland, approximately 6 kilometres east of Trim, on the Athboy to Dunshaughlin road.

There have been routes and trackways in Ireland connecting settlements and facilitating trade since ancient times and the country now has an extensive network of public roads connecting all parts of the island.

Robinstown (Irish: Baile Roibín), in the townland of Balbradagh (Irish: An Baile Bradach), is a village in County Meath, Ireland. As of the 2016 census, the village (known for census purposes as Balbradagh) had a population of 374 people. The local national (primary) school, Robinstown National School, had an enrollment of over 180 pupils as of 2014.Robinstown Roman Catholic church (built c. 1970) is in the parish of Dunderry, and is listed on the Record of Protected Structures for County Meath. Archaeological sites in the area include a ringfort site to the west of the village in Balbradagh townland.

Bellinter House (Irish: Teach Baile an tSaoir) is a large classic country house of Georgian heritage, recently renovated and opened as a 34-room luxury spa hotel. It is in 12 acres of parkland beside the River Boyne in County Meath, Ireland some 10 km (6 miles) from Navan. Bellinter takes its name from the Irish Baile an tSaoir, which means the home of the carpenter.It is built in a Palladian style with six bays built over three floors (including basement) made of coarse rubble with fine limestone dressings. Adjoining the main part of the building and connected by single story arcades are two storey wings, creating a courtyard. In the grounds are stable block, ice house and other outbuildings.

Kilmessan (Irish: Cill Mheasáin, meaning 'Church of Messan') is a village in County Meath, Ireland. It is situated 10/15 minutes away from Dunshaughlin, Trim and Navan, 6 km from the M3 motorway. The village has a primary school, shop, post office and several pubs. The Station House Hotel is located in Kilmessan.

Kiltale (Irish: Cill Táile) is a small rural community district in County Meath, Ireland with a population of approx. 300. Kiltale is situated on the R154 regional road, the main Dublin to Trim road. It is approximately 9 km east of Trim, about 9 km west of Dunshaughlin and 19 km south of Navan. Kiltale is just over 7 km from the historical seat of the High King of Ireland at the Hill of Tara. Kiltale is home of the European Union Food and Veterinary Offices and Grange, Teagasc's Beef Research Centre.

Navan Junction was a railway station serving the town of Navan in County Meath. As the name suggests, the station was located at the junction of two railway lines. The first was a branch line off the main line between Belfast and Dublin, which connected Drogheda and Oldcastle, and opened in 1850. The second, which opened in 1862, was also a branch line, this time off the line from Dublin to Sligo, connecting Clonsilla and Navan. This line was later extended as far as Kingscourt in 1865. Although Navan had two railway stations, Navan Junction was the main one serving the town, with a total of four platforms serving the two routes. However, following the nationalisation of the railways in Ireland in 1945, a major rationalisation programme led to the closure of many branch lines. Passenger services on the Kingscourt line ended in 1947, and led to the line between Clonsilla and Navan being lifted, while services on the Oldcastle line ended in 1958, with the line between Navan and Oldcastle lifted in 1963. This saw the final closure of Navan Junction station itself. Today, little remains of the station. Most of the buildings have been demolished, with the exception of the Midland Great Western Railway goods shed and the Great Northern Railway (Ireland) down platform. However, freight trains still pass through the site - until 2001, trains transported gypsum from the Gypsum Industries plant at Kingscourt through the site, while trains from the Tara Mine continue to use the remaining part of the Oldcastle line to transport zinc and lead to Drogheda.

Páirc Tailteann (Irish pronunciation: [ˌpˠaːɾʲc ˈt̪ˠal̠ʲtʲən̪ˠ]) is a GAA stadium in Navan, County Meath, Ireland. It is the home of the Meath Gaelic football and Hurling teams, also owned by Craig Lennon of ST Mochtas and Louth gaa The ground has had a capacity of between 30,000 and 33,000, but following a safety audit in 2011 the GAA reduced the authorized capacity to 10,000. This was later upped to 17,000. The county board in 2012 announced plans to refurbish the grounds. In 2013 Meath county board introduced a ticket system The name "Tailteann" alludes to the Tailteann Games, an ancient Gaelic festival held in Teltown (Tailtin) between Navan and Kells. Páirc Tailteann is the venue of the annual Meath GAA club championship finals, the winners of which receive the Keegan Cup (for football) and the Jubilee Cup (for hurling). It is the principal G.A.A. stadium in County Meath. Recent redevelopments of the stadium include the installation of an electronic scoreboard to replace the old, manual scoreboard (the manual scoreboard can still be used in the event of problems with the electronic one) and the erection of floodlights. Planning permission given in the first part of 2018 would have led to a Páirc Tailteann with a 21,000-person capacity. In June 2022, this was paused, with the effects of events such as the COVID-19 pandemic, construction inflation, the housing shortage and the war in Ukraine all contributing to increased costs.

Navan O'Mahony's (Irish: CLCG Ó Mathúna An Uaimh) is a Gaelic Athletic Association (GGA) club located in Navan, County Meath, Ireland. The club fields teams in Gaelic football, hurling, and camogie. Navan O'Mahony's participates in various Meath GAA Senior Football Championship competitions having won the title 20 times, making it the most successful football club in Meath. Additionally, the club has claimed the Meath Senior Hurling Championship title twice, placing it among the top teams in the county.
