Bellinter House (Irish: Teach Baile an tSaoir) is a large classic country house of Georgian heritage, recently renovated and opened as a 34-room luxury spa hotel. It is in 12 acres of parkland beside the River Boyne in County Meath, Ireland some 10 km (6 miles) from Navan. Bellinter takes its name from the Irish Baile an tSaoir, which means the home of the carpenter.It is built in a Palladian style with six bays built over three floors (including basement) made of coarse rubble with fine limestone dressings. Adjoining the main part of the building and connected by single story arcades are two storey wings, creating a courtyard. In the grounds are stable block, ice house and other outbuildings.

The village lies close to the N3 national primary road. The surrounding area is primarily agricultural. It is the home of the Walterstown GAA football club, and Johnstown FC.

Loreto Secondary School, St. Michael's, is an all-girls secondary school in the town of Navan, County Meath in Ireland. The school, which opened in 1833, is situated on the banks of the River Boyne on Convent Road. The Loreto Sisters St. Michael's Convent adjoins the main and oldest part of the school, with a day-care centre for the elderly situated at the side. There are approximately 52 staff members, including teachers, two career guidance counsellors and ancillary staff. As of 2020, there were 806 students enrolled.

The Missionary Society of St. Columban (Latin: Societas Sancti Columbani pro Missionibus ad Exteros) (abbreviated as S.S.C.M.E. or SSC), commonly known as the Columbans, is a missionary Catholic society of apostolic life of Pontifical Right founded in Ireland in 1917 and approved by the Vatican in 1918. Initially it was known as the Maynooth Mission to China. Members may be priests, seminarians or lay workers. Fr John Blowick, one of the two founders of the Society, also founded the Missionary Sisters of St. Columban to share in their work. The society is dedicated to St. Columbanus. The current international headquarters is in Hong Kong.

St. Joseph's Secondary School is an all-girls school in Navan, Ireland. It serves both the town and a large catchment area. The school is situated close to Railway Street and shares part of its grounds with St. Joseph's Primary School. It was founded by the Sisters of Mercy. As of 2020, the principal is Rita Meagher and the vice-principals are Claire D'Arcy and Fiona Daly. The school has approximately 700 students and has a range of extra curricular activities which include music and choir, drama, debating, equestrian and golf.
