Southwest District School (Wolcott, Connecticut)

Wolcott Green Historic District a historic district in the New England town of Wolcott, Connecticut. The district encompasses the town green and the surrounding buildings. The green is located in the town center of Wolcott along Center Road (Route 322). It has a triangular shape and is surrounded by several houses, a church and the town hall. The other streets bounding the green are Bound Line Road and Kenea Avenue.The Greek Revival style Congregational Church is the dominant structure on the north side of the green. On the opposite end of the green from the church is the Wolcott Town Hall. The rest of the buildings around the green are 18th- and 19th-century houses. The district also includes the Farmingbury Burying Ground, now known as the Edgewood Cemetery.The main green space contains several maple trees. There is a Civil War monument in the middle of the green that is surrounded by small shrubs. At the intersection of Kenea Avenue and Center Road is a granite obelisk dedicated to those who served in the two world wars and in the Korean, Vietnam, and Persian Gulf wars. The green also has benches at the corners of the open area and a picnic table near the intersection of Kenea Avenue and Bound Line Road.

Wolcott ( WUUL-kət) is a town in New Haven County, Connecticut, United States. The town is part of the Naugatuck Valley Planning Region. It is primarily residential, with a population of 16,142 as of the 2020 United States Census.The town was settled in the 1730s by English settlers of the Connecticut Colony and was known as Farmingbury. It was renamed as Wolcott after being incorporated in 1796, following the United States' gaining independence. Some early records spell it as Wolcutt.

Crosby High School is a public high school located in the East End section of the city of Waterbury, Connecticut. It is part of the Waterbury Public Schools district. It was first opened in 1851 and is currently the third oldest high school in Connecticut. It has an enrollment of approximately 1368 students. Originally located at 255 East Main Street in Waterbury, it moved to 300 Pierpont Road in September, 1974. It is attached to Wallace Middle School, in the Edward D. Bergin Educational Park. The former principal was Jade L. Gopie, the first African-American principal in the history of the Waterbury Public Schools. Now Michael Veronneau runs the school as principal.

The Waterbury Career Academy is a high school located in the North End section of Waterbury, Connecticut, in the United States. The school consists of four strands. Students are able to pick a strand at the end of their freshman term. It is a part of Waterbury Public Schools. Jade L. Gopie took the role as Principal in August 2020 after former principal Dr. Louis A. Padua announced his retirement. Then in October 2021, Michael Harris, former assistant principal, was promoted to principal after Gopie was promoted to Assistant Superintendent. As of 2023, School is currently run by Principal Michael Harris and Assistant Principals Jennifer Franceskino and Peter Flammia

The North End is a neighborhood/section of the city of Waterbury, Connecticut. It is just north of the city's downtown district and contains its own commercial facilities, schools and municipalities. The North End is one of Waterbury's oldest neighborhoods and self-sustaining.

St. Stanislaus Kostka Parish is a former parish in Waterbury, Connecticut, United States, originally designated for Polish immigrants. Founded on January 30, 1913. It is one of the Polish-American Roman Catholic parishes in New England in the Archdiocese of Hartford. In 2017, the parish was merged with Saint Anne Church in the south end to form All Saints Parish. The building was closed for regularly scheduled worship, and subsequently sold to a Pentecostal church.

The Webster School is a historic former school buildings at Easton Avenue and Aetna Street in Waterbury, Connecticut. Built in 1898 to a design by the noted local architect Wilfred E. Griggs, it is a good example of Classical Revival architecture, and an emblem of the city's rapid growth at the turn of the 20th century. It was closed in 1977, and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. The building has been converted into housing.

The Stapleton Building was a historic building at 751 North Main Street in Waterbury, Connecticut. Built in 1903, it was a good example of Renaissance Revival architecture, and typified economic development in outlying neighborhood areas of Connecticut's larger cities. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988. It has since been demolished.

Brass Mill Center is a shopping mall located in Waterbury, Connecticut. The mall and its accompanying complex, the Brass Mill Commons, cost $160 million to build. At 1,180,000 square feet (110,000 m2), it is Connecticut's fifth largest mall, containing over 130 shops. It is located off Interstate 84 in Waterbury, Connecticut. The mall features the traditional retailers JCPenney, Burlington, and Shoppers World.

Hamilton Park is the oldest city park in Waterbury, Connecticut. Founded in 1898 as a gift from the locally prominent Hamilton family, it offers both passive and active recreation, with ballfields and other amenities. It is located on 93 acres (38 ha) southeast of downtown Waterbury, accessed via entrances on East Main Street. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996.
