Belvedere Ostrense

San Marcello is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Ancona in the Italian region Marche, located about 25 kilometres (16 mi) west of Ancona. San Marcello borders the following municipalities: Belvedere Ostrense, Jesi, Maiolati Spontini, Monsano, Monte San Vito, Morro d'Alba. Founded in 1234 by a community of people from Jesi, it still has a well preserved line of walls. It is interesting to visit the Renaissance Palazzo Marcelli, the parish church, the Ferrari theatre, the Saint Mary church. The castle is surrounded by a beautiful hilly landscape particularly renown for olive trees and vineyards.

The Nevola (Latin: Sena) is a river in the Marche region of Italy. Its source is near Arcevia in the province of Ancona. The river flows northeast near Ostra Vetere and Corinaldo before entering the Misa north of Ostra.

Ostra was an ancient Roman town near the modern town of Ostra Vetere. The Roman town was inhabited from the 3rd century BC until the 6th century AD.

The PalaTriccoli (officially Palazzetto dello sport “Ezio Triccoli”), also known as UBI BPA Sport Center (due to sponsorship reasons), is an indoor sporting arena located in Jesi, Italy.It was the home venue of women's volleyball club Vini Monteschiavo Jesi during the period it played in the Serie A1 from 2001 to 2010. It is the home venue of basketball club Aurora Basket Jesi since 1992 and has capacity for 3,500 spectators.In April 2015, the venue was renamed UBI BPA Sport Center after a sponsorship deal was agreed.

The Teatro Comunale Pergolesi is an opera house in Jesi, Italy. It was originally named the Teatro della Concordia when it was the rival to the original 1732 opera house in the city, the Teatro del Leone. That theatre was active until 1791, but it was destroyed by fire in 1792.The concept of the Concordia began in 1790 with a request to the city government to allow construction of a new opera house on the Plaza della Morte (now the Plaza della Republica), an area in need of re-development and revival. The city agreed on the basis of holding two boxes for itself and, with some interruptions for a variety of reasons, completion was achieved in time for the opening during the Carnival of 1798 with Portogallo's Lo spazzacamino principe. The house consisted of four tiers of boxes, 100 in total, all sold to wealthy subscribers. Modifications took place in 1835 to create a gallery by removing the fourth tier of boxes and creating a better entrance to the orchestra level. The 170th anniversary of the composer local-born composer Giovanni Battista Pergolesi caused the renaming in his honour, although as is noted, it took a further three years for this to come into effect.By 1925 the need for repairs had grown acute and the surviving heirs of the original construction, the Società Teatrale, were unable to continue to support the theatre, which in March 1929 was acquired by the city. The theatre is still in use today, "one of the few opera houses in Italy from the late 1700s that has never been destroyed by fire or bombs" It was completely renovated in 1995 and is currently managed by the Pergolesi Spontini Foundation.

Ripe was a comune (municipality) in the Province of Ancona in the Italian region Marche, located about 35 kilometres (22 mi) west of Ancona. The municipality of Ripe was disbanded 1 January 2014 and united to Castel Colonna and Monterado in the new municipality of Trecastelli. Trecastelli is an Italian comune in the province of Ancona, in Marche, created in 2014 from the merger of the comuni of Ripe, Castel Colonna and Monterado. These three towns are now frazioni of the administration. The municipal seat is in Ripe. The municipality borders with Corinaldo, Mondolfo, Monte Porzio, Ostra, San Costanzo and Senigallia.

Montecarotto is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Ancona in the Italian region Marche, located about 40 kilometres (25 mi) west of Ancona, mostly known internationally for the annual Blackmoon festival, a renowned goa and psytrance happening. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 2,163 and an area of 24.1 square kilometres (9.3 sq mi).Montecarotto borders the following municipalities: Arcevia, Belvedere Ostrense, Ostra, Ostra Vetere, Poggio San Marcello, Rosora, Serra de' Conti.

The 1930 Senigallia earthquake struck the city of Senigallia in central Italy on October 30. It occurred just a few months after the destructive 1930 Irpinia earthquake, which had caused over 1,400 casualties in the southern part of the country.
