Staples High School is a public high school located in the town of Westport, Connecticut, United States. Staples High School is named after Horace Staples, who founded the school on April 26, 1884. Westport is one of eight school districts in District Reference Group A (along with Darien, Easton, New Canaan, Redding, Ridgefield, Weston, and Wilton).

The Greens Farms School is a historic school building at Morningside Drive South and Boston Post Road in the Greens Farms neighborhood of Westport, Connecticut. It was built in 1925 and received an addition in 1950. It was designed by architect Charles Cutler in a Tudor Revival style, and is a fine example of such style. It is the only Tudor Revival school building in Westport. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.Its interior includes a Works Project Administration art project from c. 1935.It is located on the Boston Post Road. Due to declining enrollment the school closed in June 1983, after which it was leased by the Westport Arts Center.In 1996 with increasing enrollment school officials in Westport began looking at options including reopening the Greens Farms School and brought in a consultant in the process. The Westport Arts Center representatives recommended that they stay in the building as the educational needs of Westport's student could be better realized in a new building. Westport school officials responded that a new building would cost the town $4.5 million more than using the building. In the end the decision was made that reclaiming the building was the "cheaper" course of action. The Westport Arts Center left the building and moved to a location next to the Saugatuck River.In 1997, faced with rising pupil enrollments, the town reclaimed the school for use as an elementary school again. The school had to be renovated and expanded, which cost the town $16 million.The school is now known as Greens Farms Elementary School.

Bradley B. Meeker (March 13, 1813 – February 19, 1873) was an American jurist, lawyer, and businessman. Meeker was born March 13, 1813, in Fairfield, Connecticut to Joseph and Rhoda Meeker (née Nichols). His family was very poor, despite being descendants of one of their city's founder. Meeker was related to Truman Smith, Senator who inspired him to pursue law and serve in the Minnesota Territorial Supreme Court. With the help of Governor Gideon Tomlinson, Meeker went to Weston Academy and graduated from Yale University in 1802. Meeker practiced law in Richmond, Kentucky from 1838 to 1845 and in Flemingsburg, Kentucky.Meeker came to Minnesota Territory in 1848. After making a name for himself in the world of law, Meeker was nominated to serve on the Minnesota Territorial Supreme Court by President Zachary Taylor on March 15, 1849, with the Senate confirming him March 19. He took the oath of office on May 9, 1849. When his four-year term expired on March 18, 1853, Meeker was replaced by President Franklin Pierce when he picked his own justices. Of the three justices on the court at the time (Chief Justice Goodrich, Justice Cooper, and himself), he was the least controversial. Once he left the Minnesota Territorial Supreme Court, Meeker was elected as a delegate of the Minnesota Constitutional Convention, served as one of the first regents of the University of Minnesota, and was a charter member of the Minnesota Historical Society. Meeker was a charter member of the Minnesota Historical Society and also served on the University of Minnesota Board of Regents. He owned land on the Mississippi River, including Meeker Island named after him. In 1856, he had a county named in his honour.Meeker died suddenly in Milwaukee, Wisconsin of Apoplexy while on a trip on February 19, 1873. He was never married to anybody. He currently rests at the Greens Farms Church Upper Cemetery in Westport, Connecticut.

WWPT (90.3 FM, "Wrecker Radio") is a high school radio station licensed to serve Westport, Connecticut. The station is owned by Staples High School and licensed to the Westport Board of Education. It airs a high school radio format.The station was assigned the WWPT call letters by the Federal Communications Commission.WWPT broadcasts all Staples football games, as well as most other Staples sporting events. There are also student DJ shows from 2:30pm to 9:30pm Monday through Friday and 12:00pm to 4pm on Saturdays during the school year. In 2009, WWPT began broadcast via internet. In 2011, WWPT was named the best high school radio station from the John Drury National High School Radio Awards.[1] In 2015, WWPT was named the number two high school radio station in the country from the John Drury National High School Radio Awards. For the first time in the program's history the station won the John Drury National High School Radio Award for best sports play by play , won by Cooper Boardman, Adam Kaplan, and Zach Edelman. In 2016, members of WWPT placed as finalists in 14 categories in the national IBS high school radio awards. Cooper Boardman and Jack Caldwell won for Best Football Play-By-Play, with Cooper Boardman winning Best Use of YouTube and Best Basketball Play-By-Play. Shortly after success at the 2016 IBS Awards, members of WWPT were nominated for a total 17 John Drury National High School Radio Awards, 6 more than any other station in the country. Nominations spanned several categories including Best Newscast, Best Sports Talk Program, and Best Play-By-Play. At the May Awards ceremonies in Naperville, Illinois, WWPT students won first place in every category they were nominated in, winning 6 total first-place awards. WWPT was also named the number one high school radio station in the country for the first time since 2011. In 2017, WWPT was named the best high school radio station for the third time ever and second consecutive year from the John Drury National High School Radio Awards. In 2019, again at the John Drury National High School Radio Awards, WWPT once again walked away with the number 1 station in the country. They also came home with multiple individual first place awards including - Best News Feature Story by Jake Gersh and Cameron Manna, best sports play by play by Greg Settos and Jake Gersh, and Best sportscast by Greg Settos.

Westport Country Playhouse, is a not-for-profit regional theater in Westport, Connecticut. It was founded in 1931 by Lawrence Langner, a New York theater producer. Langner remodeled an 1830s tannery with a Broadway-quality stage.

Established in 1847, the cemetery is located close to Westport's downtown area, and features the burials of many members of Westport's historic families, including the Coley, Burr, Nash, Bedford, Bradley and Hurlbutt families.

The former United States Post Office in Westport, Connecticut is a historic post office building at 154 Post Road East in Westport, Connecticut. The building, built in 1935, is located in downtown Westport. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2012.The building was sold to a private consortium for $2.35 million in May 2011. In August 2013, the building reopened as a restaurant called Post 154. The restaurant, which featured a postal theme, closed in 2016. Since 2017, the building has housed an outlet of the furniture chain Design Within Reach, a retail subsidiary of Herman Miller.

Godillot Place is a historic country estate at 60 and 65 Jesup Road in Westport, Connecticut. The main house, now known as the Lyman Building, built c. 1880 around an 1804 farmhouse, is Westport's best example of Stick style architecture. The estate also includes a late 19th-century carriage house and guest cottage, all now owned by the town. The property was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1977.

The Bradley–Wheeler House, also known as the Charles B. Wheeler House, is a historic house museum located at 25 Avery Place in Westport, Connecticut. Built about 1795 and restyled in the Italianate mode about 1867, it is one of the oldest surviving houses in Westport center. It was home to a procession of prominent local businessmen in the 19th century, and also includes a distinctive cobblestone barn that is the only known example of its type in the state. On July 5, 1984, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places.
