Dia Art Foundation

CRG Gallery was an art gallery on New York City's Lower East Side, located at 195 Chrystie St. CRG was founded in 1990 by Carla Chammas, Richard Desroche, and Glenn McMillan.Originally CRG was located in a townhouse on the Upper East Side of Manhattan where they held the first New York solo shows for artists such as Jean-Marc Bustamante, Mona Hatoum and Jim Hodges. CRG then moved to South SoHo, Manhattan and in 2000 settled on 22nd street as its list of artists represented grew. The gallery moved to the Lower East Side in 2015. CRG hosted about six exhibitions a year. CRG closed in the summer of 2017.

The Zach Feuer Gallery is a contemporary art gallery that operated from 2000 to 2016 in New York City; Hudson, New York; and Los Angeles.

The IMC Expo is described as "a hybrid technology trade show, art exhibition, educational symposium, and networking forum". The IMC Expo is produced by the new media design firm StudioIMC in association with the Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP) at Tisch School of the Arts, as well as other partner organizations. The IMC Expo mission is to foster a growing network of diverse and forward-thinking artists, engineers, designers, scientists and institutions, with the common goal of promoting interdisciplinary collaboration and innovation. An IMCexpo in 2005 was held at the Chelsea Art Museum and featured speakers like DJ Spooky, Michael Naimark, Natalie Jeremijenko, Clay Shirky and other visionaries. An IMCexpo in 2009 was held at the Chelsea Art Museum.

The Chelsea Art Museum (CAM) was a contemporary art museum located at 556 West 22nd Street on the corner of Eleventh Avenue in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City. The museum focused on post-war European art.The museum was in a 30,000 sq ft (2,800 m2) renovated historic building, which was also the location of the Miotte Foundation, which was committed to archiving and protecting the works of Jean Miotte and providing new scholarship and research on L'Art Informel. Rotating selections of Miotte's work were shown at the museum on a regular basis, as are selections from the museum permanent collection, which contains 500 works, including paintings, etchings, sculpture, ceramics, tapestries, and works on paper, primarily focusing on L'Art Informel and Abstract Expressionist artists from Europe and the United States, including Pol Bury, Mimmo Rotella, and Jean-Paul Riopelle.The museum and shop closed by December 31, 2011. The closing followed lengthy financial difficulties and the possible loss of its charter, which eventually led to the sale of the building.

Dia Cheslea is an art museum in the Chelsea neighborhood of New York City and is operated by the Dia Art Foundation. Opened in 1987 at 548 West 22nd Street as the Dia Center for the Arts, Dia Chelsea has since moved across the street to a series of connected buildings now consolidated at 537 West 22nd Street. It is one of the locations and sites the Dia Art Foundation manages. The Museum hosts longterm but temporary exhibitions dedicated to one or two artists at a time as well as associated artistic and educational programing.

Eyebeam is a not-for-profit art and technology center in New York City, founded by John Seward Johnson III with co-founders David S. Johnson and Roderic R. Richardson. Originally conceived as a digital effects and coding atelier and center for youth education, Eyebeam has become a center for the research, development, and curation of new media works of art and open source technology. Eyebeam annually hosts up to 20 residents and co-produces youth educational programs, exhibitions, performances, symposia, workshops, hackathons and other events with these residents as well as with partner organizations. Projects developed at Eyebeam have received awards and recognition including Webby Awards, Guggenheim Fellowships, and the Prix Ars Electronica.

The XI (originally The Eleventh) is a pair of buildings in New York City designed by architectural firm BIG. The complex will include 247 condominiums, a 137-room Six Senses hotel, 90,000 square feet (8,400 m2) of retail space, art space, a spa and club.

Tanya Bonakdar Gallery is an art gallery founded by Tanya Bonakdar, located in both Chelsea in New York City and Los Angeles. Founded in 1995, the Yancey Richardson Gallery is a dealer of fine art photography, based in New York City and founded by Yancey Richardson. Formerly housed in the 560 Broadway building in Soho, the gallery moved to New York's Chelsea art district (525 W 22nd) in 2000.

The Chelsea Arts District, sometimes also called the West Chelsea Arts District or the Chelsea Gallery District is a region of Manhattan's Chelsea neighborhood that runs from 18th to 28th Streets between Tenth and Eleventh avenues that is known for its concentration of art galleries. It developed as part of the neighborhood's rezoning and shift in the international art market in the late 1990s and early 2000s.While galleries have relocated to other areas due to rising rents and the distance from the subway, new galleries have taken their place and the area remains an arts hub.While many galleries feature a rotating series of exhibits, the district is also known for longterm or permanent projects, such as Joseph Beuys' 7000 Oaks which began in 1988 with five trees that marked Dia Chelsea's opening and was extended in 1996 and remains due to a partnership with the Departments of Parks & Recreation and Transportation.
