Glen Cove is a city in Nassau County, New York, United States, on the North Shore of Long Island. At the 2020 United States Census, the city population was 28,365 as of the 2020 census. The city was considered part of the early 20th century Gold Coast of the Long Island, as the areas along the waterfront were developed as large country estates by wealthy entrepreneurs and businessmen such as J.P. Morgan, Phipps, Pratt, and Prybil. Glen Cove also had manufacturing and a diverse population that worked in industry, local agriculture and retail businesses. Of Nassau County's five municipalities, Glen Cove is one of the two municipalities that is a city, rather than a town – the other being Long Beach on the South Shore. The city was the location of several successful manufacturing facilities in the 20th century. It attracted numerous immigrants from Ireland, Italy, and eastern Europe. More recently, it has been settled by immigrants of later migrations, from Central and South America, and Asia.

Glen Cove is a station along the Oyster Bay Branch of the Long Island Rail Road. It is located between Pearsall Avenue and Norfolk Lane north of Duck Pond Road in the city of Glen Cove, New York. Glen Cove station, (née Nassau), was built in 1895 at the behest of the "Gold Coast" millionaires such as the Pratts and J.P. Morgan who were looking for a more dignified station to disembark. The picturesque station has been featured in several movies, including Sabrina, Hello Again, and several commercials. No bus access is available for this station (unlike the nearby Glen Street station), however local taxicabs do stop there.

The Justice Court Building is a historic court and municipal building located in Glen Cove in Nassau County, New York. Built for the city between 1907 and 1909, it was designed by the architect Stephen F. Voorhees (1878–1965) of Eidlitz & McKenzie. The 3-story, rectangular red brick building has a steeply pitched roof covered with green clay tile. A 1+1⁄2-story rear addition was built in 1923, used for some time as a jail. It is decorated with ceramic-glazed moldings and molded terra cotta decoration and exhibits features of the Dutch Colonial Revival or Collegiate Gothic style. It features a square bell tower. The former rectory contains the museum and is a 2-story rectangular building in the Tudor Revival style.The building on Glen Street was used for the court, city hall and later as police headquarters. In the early decades, the Women's Exchange was located just to the west of the building; the group raised money to provide social services.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990. It has been acquired by the North Shore Historical Museum, which plans to renovate the building for use as a museum.

Old Glen Cove Post Office is a historic post office building located at Glen Cove in Nassau County, New York. It was designed by Stephen Voorhees, then with the architecture firm Eidlitz & McKenzie, and built in 1905. It is a three-story Tudor Revival influenced building. It measures 36 feet wide and 70 feet deep, with a rear addition constructed in 1915. The first floor facade is brick, while the two upper stories have applied timbers with stucco infill and French casement windows. The original Glen Cove Post Office building was replaced with the existing building on 2 Glen Cove Avenue in 1932. The old post office is now the headquarters of the Smiros & Smiros architectural firm.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2010.

Glen Cove High School, commonly referred to as GC, or GCHS, is the only public high school in the Glen Cove City School District. Located at 150 Dosoris Ln., Glen Cove, on the North Shore of Long Island, GCHS sits upon 50 acres (200,000 m2) of land. The current building has been in use since 1962, and prior to that year Robert M. Finley Middle School, the district's current middle school, was used as the high school. As of the 2018–19 school year, the school had an enrollment of 1,033 students and 67.3 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 15.3:1. There were 554 students (53.6% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 75 (7.3% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.

Glen Street is a station along the Oyster Bay Branch of the Long Island Rail Road. It is located on Glen Street (former NY 107), near Elm Avenue, in the City of Glen Cove, New York.

U.S. Post Office-Glen Cove is a historic post office building located at 2 Glen Cove Avenue (the NRHP mistakenly has the address as Glen Cove Street) and Bridge Street in the City of Glen Cove, Nassau County, New York, United States. It was built in 1932 during the Great Depression as a replacement for the Old Glen Cove Post Office on 51 Glen Street. The latter, now the headquarters of the Smiros & Smiros architectural firm, was added to the NRHP in 2010. The current post office was designed by consulting architects Delano and Aldrich for the Office of the Supervising Architect of the Department of Treasury, whose responsibilities then included construction of federal buildings. It is a small one-story, brick building with marble trim in the Colonial Revival style. The front facade features three tall brick arches flanked by Doric order marble pilasters.The current Glen Cove Post Office was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

Westbrook Preparatory School is New York State's first co-ed private residential school for 24 middle and high school students with high-functioning autism. It was established after intense lobbying by parents, with the aim of bringing special education students back from out-of-state private schools, through creating publicly financed alternatives closer to home. The school was originally scheduled to open in late fall 2010 and eventually opened in February 2011.

The Manor is a historic mansion in Glen Cove, New York. It was constructed in 1910 as the home of John Teele Pratt and Ruth Baker Pratt. It was designed by Charles A. Platt. After the death of Ruth Pratt in 1965, it became one of the first conference center hotels in the United States in 1967. It was known as Harrison House until 1985, when it was renamed the Glen Cove Mansion Hotel and Conference Center. The Manor is one of five existing mansions in Glen Cove built for the sons of oil magnate Charles Pratt. The others are "The Braes", now the Webb Institute of Naval Architecture; "Welwyn", now the Holocaust Memorial and Tolerance Center of Nassau County on the grounds of the Welwyn Preserve; "Poplar Hill", now the Glengariff Healthcare Center, and "Killenworth", now the country retreat of the Russian delegation to the United Nations.

Killenworth is a historic mansion in Glen Cove, New York constructed for George Dupont Pratt in 1912. It was purchased by the Soviet Union in 1946 to become the country retreat of the Soviet, and later Russian, delegation to the United Nations. In the 1980s the property was subject to allegations it was being used for espionage. There has been a long-standing conflict with the City of Glen Cove over its tax status.

Poplar Hill is a historic mansion in Glen Cove, New York. Constructed for Frederic B. Pratt in 1925, it has been in use as a healthcare center since 1947, and is currently known as the Glengariff Healthcare Center.

Sea Cliff is a station along the Oyster Bay Branch of the Long Island Rail Road. It is located on Sea Cliff Avenue and Glen Keith Road between Glen Cove Avenue and Cedar Swamp Road in the City of Glen Cove, New York, east of the Town of Oyster Bay hamlet of Sea Cliff, New York. The station was actually named after Sea Cliff Avenue, rather than the hamlet.
