Poplar Hill is a historic mansion in Glen Cove, New York. Constructed for Frederic B. Pratt in 1925, it has been in use as a healthcare center since 1947, and is currently known as the Glengariff Healthcare Center.

Welwyn Preserve County Park is a 204-acre (0.83 km2) public nature reserve in Glen Cove, on the North Shore of Long Island in the U.S. state of New York. Welwyn Preserve was originally Welwyn Estate, the estate of the industrialist Harold I. Pratt. The main house, Welwyn, was one of the Gold Coast Mansions. The Welwyn estate also includes woodland and other natural habitats, as well as part of the coast facing north onto Long Island Sound. The mansion is currently used as the Holocaust Memorial and Tolerance Center of Nassau County.

The Holocaust Memorial and Tolerance Center of Nassau County (HMTC) is a Holocaust memorial, a museum and a tolerance center in Glen Cove, on the North Shore of Long Island in the U.S. State of New York. The museum and tolerance center is situated within the original Gold Coast Mansion "Welwyn", in what is now Welwyn Preserve County Park. The memorial also includes the adjoining garden, which was originally designed by the Olmsted Brothers, the influential American landscape architectural firm. As of 2014, the museum is open on Mondays to Fridays from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm, and on Saturdays and Sundays from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

Glen Cove High School, commonly referred to as GC, or GCHS, is the only public high school in the Glen Cove City School District. Located at 150 Dosoris Ln., Glen Cove, on the North Shore of Long Island, GCHS sits upon 50 acres (200,000 m2) of land. The current building has been in use since 1962, and prior to that year Robert M. Finley Middle School, the district's current middle school, was used as the high school. As of the 2018–19 school year, the school had an enrollment of 1,033 students and 67.3 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 15.3:1. There were 554 students (53.6% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 75 (7.3% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.

North Country Reform Temple-Ner Tamid is a Reform Jewish synagogue located at 86 Crescent Beach Road, in Glen Cove, Nassau County, New York, in the United States. Founded in 1956, the temple has employed two facilities in Glen Cove, the first burning down in 1982. Following that, the congregation was sheltered by the local Congregation Tifereth Israel and St. Paul's Episcopal Church for three years until the dedication of the current synagogue in 1985. Rabbi Michael S. Churgel is the rabbi, as of December 2023.

Webb Institute is a private college focused on engineering and located in Glen Cove, New York. Each graduate of Webb Institute earns a Bachelor of Science degree in naval architecture and marine engineering. Successful candidates for admission receive full tuition for four years. Webb Institute is noted in the marine industry for its unique emphasis on ship design, systems engineering, and practical work experience.

Woolworth Estate is a historic estate located at Glen Cove in Nassau County, New York. It was designed in 1916 by architect C. P. H. Gilbert (1861–1952) for Frank Winfield Woolworth (1852–1919). The estate consists of the main residence, known as Winfield Hall; a large garage with remodeled living quarters; a main entrance arch; two greenhouses; and various landscape features including a tea house.

The Shell House is a historic home located at 26 Westland Drive on East Island in Glen Cove in Nassau County, New York. It was built as a guest cottage and home of the yacht captain on the Matinecock Point Estate of J. P. Morgan, Jr. (1867–1943). The house is composed of a small, Norman style core dated to the mid-19th century, with a large Tudor Revival addition built about 1910. Also on the property are the remains of a pier and a poured concrete and cinder block wall.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988. The house was rebuilt in the late-2010s.

Glen Cove's Gurdwara Mata Sahib Kaur is a Sikh Gurdwara or temple in Glen Cove, New York in Nassau County on Long Island. It has an area of 15 acres near Long Island Sound. The main building is 30,000 sq ft (2,800 m2) built-up area, 20 rooms and three halls. There is a secondary building with a five-bedroom house as the residence of sewadars. The property was purchased for $1.20 million to make a gurdwara. This gurdwara was founded by the Sikhs of Long Island, New York when they felt that they needed a larger facility. It separated from Gurdwara Guru Gobind Singh Sikh Center Plainview. The first head priest was Singh Sahib Gyani Jagtar Singh Jachak. Bhai Sahib left to serve again as an international Kathakaar. Presently the granthi is Bhai Paramjit Singh. Sewadars of Gurdwara Sahib are Bhai Swinder Singh and Bhai Navdeep Singh. The president of Gurdwara Sahib is Sardar Harbinder Singh Sachdev and secretary is Sardar Mohan Singh Kabuli. Gurdwara Sahib have Ragi Jathas by each month and Gurbani Vichar is done by Sikh preachers. Gurdwara Sahib attracts an average weekly congregation of 200 families from the surrounding area. Glen Cove Hospital is a hospital in Glen Cove, New York, United States, that is part of the Northwell Health system. It was founded in 1921 and moved to its current location in 1927. From 1927 to 1955, it was known as North Country Community Hospital, and at other times it had various names referencing Glen Cove.

Glen Cove is a city in Nassau County, New York, United States, on the North Shore of Long Island. At the 2020 United States Census, the city population was 28,365 as of the 2020 census. The city was considered part of the early 20th century Gold Coast of the Long Island, as the areas along the waterfront were developed as large country estates by wealthy entrepreneurs and businessmen such as J.P. Morgan, Phipps, Pratt, and Prybil. Glen Cove also had manufacturing and a diverse population that worked in industry, local agriculture and retail businesses. Of Nassau County's five municipalities, Glen Cove is one of the two municipalities that is a city, rather than a town – the other being Long Beach on the South Shore. The city was the location of several successful manufacturing facilities in the 20th century. It attracted numerous immigrants from Ireland, Italy, and eastern Europe. More recently, it has been settled by immigrants of later migrations, from Central and South America, and Asia.

Old Glen Cove Post Office is a historic post office building located at Glen Cove in Nassau County, New York. It was designed by Stephen Voorhees, then with the architecture firm Eidlitz & McKenzie, and built in 1905. It is a three-story Tudor Revival influenced building. It measures 36 feet wide and 70 feet deep, with a rear addition constructed in 1915. The first floor facade is brick, while the two upper stories have applied timbers with stucco infill and French casement windows. The original Glen Cove Post Office building was replaced with the existing building on 2 Glen Cove Avenue in 1932. The old post office is now the headquarters of the Smiros & Smiros architectural firm.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2010.
