Taylor's Mill Historic District

The Bartles House, also known as the Christy House, is a historic house located at 400 Fisher Road (formerly listed as 159 Oldwick Road) near Oldwick in Tewksbury Township of Hunterdon County, New Jersey. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on March 14, 2007, for its significance in architecture. Described as a "vernacular cubical villa", it was built with Greek Revival style and Italianate style. The tree-lined driveway from Oldwick Road is a contributing site of the listing.

The Oldwick Historic District is a 170-acre (69 ha) national historic district located along County Route 517 (Main Street), Church, King, James, Joliet and William streets in the Oldwick section of Tewksbury Township in Hunterdon County, New Jersey. The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places on November 14, 1988, for its significance in architecture, commerce, and industry. It includes 127 contributing buildings, 12 contributing structures, and one contributing site. The Kline Farmhouse, listed individually in 1984, also contributes to the district. Many of the buildings were documented by the Historic American Buildings Survey.

The area is served as United States Postal Service ZIP Code 08858. As of the 2000 United States census, the population for ZIP Code Tabulation Area 08858 was 177. The 2010 census data indicate a population of 144, comprising 68 housing units.Oldwick was formerly known as New Germantown. It has a mixture of Victorian, Federal, New England and Georgian style homes, and is protected by historic legislation. Historic sites within Oldwick include the Kline Farmhouse and the Oldwick Historic District. Zion Lutheran Church in Oldwick was the oldest Lutheran parish in New Jersey. Justus Falckner of New York, the first Lutheran clergyman ever ordained in America, led the worshipers at the founding ceremony on August 1, 1714. The noted German Lutheran pastor, Henry Melchior Muhlenberg, was a member of this congregation from 1759 to 1760.Oldwick is the corporate headquarters of the A. M. Best rating agency, and is the location of Mane Stream, formerly the Somerset Hills Handicapped Riding Center for adaptive riding and equine assisted therapy.

The Kline Farmhouse, also known as Cold Spring Cottage, is located on a 12-acre (4.9 ha) farm along County Route 517 (Old Turnpike Road), north of Oldwick in Tewksbury Township of Hunterdon County, New Jersey. Built by Jacob Kline in the 1790s, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places on July 11, 1984, for its significance in agriculture, architecture and settlement. Also known as the Beavers House, it was previously documented by the Historic American Buildings Survey in 1966. It was later listed as a contributing property of the Oldwick Historic District in 1988.

The former Merck & Co. headquarters building is a modernist office building located in the Whitehouse Station section of Readington Township, New Jersey, United States. It was designed by Kevin Roche John Dinkeloo and Associates, LLC in the late 1980s for the Merck & Co. pharmaceutical company. Over the years it became well known for its various environmentally friendly features. In October 2012, Merck & Co. announced that starting in 2014 it would move its headquarters to the Schering-Plough site (formerly belonging to Ciba, Ciba-Geigy and Novartis) in Summit, New Jersey, acquired in the November 2009 acquisition of Schering, and planned to close the Whitehouse Station headquarters building upon completion of the move in 2015. In October 2013, Merck & Co. reversed course and said its headquarters would move to Kenilworth, New Jersey, and that the 88-acre (36 ha) Summit campus would be sold after being vacated on December 31, 2014.In July 2018, UNICOM Global announced that their division UNICOM Corporation had signed an agreement with Merck & Co. to purchase the entire Merck property at Whitehouse Station, with the acquisition expected to close in October 2018. The completion of the acquisition was announced on October 1, 2018. The property was renamed UNICOM Science and Technology Park (USTP).

The Hill and Dale Preserve is an approximately 300-acre (120 ha) nature reserve located in Lebanon, New Jersey. The preserve is primarily a combination of open fields and wooded sections. Higher elevations provide scenic views of the Watchung Mountains, Round Valley Reservoir and Cushetunk Mountain. A portion of Rockaway Creek and its tributaries run through the preserve.There are approximately 2.3 miles (3.7 km) of hiking trails within the park, and many types of bird and animal species can be spotted, including Cooper’s hawk, wood thrush, bobcat, fox and black bear. The park is physically connected to adjacent Hell Mountain Preserve.Development rights to 100 acres of the preserve have been purchased to ensure that no development can occur, but this land still remains in private hands. These 100 acres have been permanently limited to agricultural use.The preserve is managed by New Jersey Conservation Foundation.

Tewksbury Township is a township located in Hunterdon County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey and is located within the New York Metropolitan Area. As of the 2020 United States census, the township's population was 5,870, a decrease of 123 (−2.1%) from the 2010 census count of 5,993, which in turn reflected an increase of 452 (+8.2%) from the 5,541 counted in the 2000 census.The township has been one of the state's highest-income communities. Based on data from the 2012–2016 American Community Survey (ACS), NJ.com ranked the township as having the fifth-highest income in the state, with a median household income of $173,473. Based on data from the 2014–2018 ACS, the township residents had a median household income of $162,037, more than double the statewide median of $79,363.Located within the Raritan Valley region, Tewksbury is situated in northeastern Hunterdon County bordering both Morris and Somerset (along the Lamington River) counties. The township's name is thought to be from Tewkesbury, England. Since 2003, the two communities have been twinned.

On April 5, 2024, at 10:23 EDT (14:23 UTC), a Mw 4.8 earthquake occurred in the U.S. state of New Jersey, with the epicenter in Tewksbury Township. While it was felt across the New York metropolitan area, Delaware Valley, the Washington D.C metropolitan area, and other parts of the northeastern United States between Virginia and Maine, it had a relatively minor impact, with no major damage reported. There were dozens of aftershocks throughout the rest of the week and into the next. It was the strongest earthquake to affect New Jersey since the 5.3 Mfa 1783 New Jersey earthquake, and the strongest to hit New York City since an estimated 5.0 magnitude earthquake on August 10, 1884.

The Whitehouse–Mechanicsville Historic District is a historic district located along old New Jersey Route 28, Mill, Lamington and School Roads in Whitehouse and Mechanicsville, unincorporated communities in Readington Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on March 17, 2015 for its significance in architecture and community development. The district includes 140 contributing buildings.

The Palatine Road Brige is a historic stone arch bridge that carries Palatine Road over a minor tributary of the Lamington River in Tewksbury Township of Hunterdon County, New Jersey, United States. Built in 1900 by George Schuyler, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places on December 12, 2002, for its significance in engineering and transportation. It was listed as part of the Historic Bridges of Tewksbury Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey Multiple Property Submission (MPS). The 22 foot (6.7 m) long single-arch rubble stone bridge is located near the intersection of Palatine Road with Homestead Road and Cold Spring Road. According to the nomination form, the county has over 100 surviving stone arch bridges, the largest concentration in North America.
