Manumuskin River

Landis Township was a township that existed in Cumberland County, New Jersey, United States from 1864 to 1952. It was named after Charles K. Landis, the founder of Vineland. Landis Township was incorporated as a township by an Act of the New Jersey Legislature on March 7, 1864, from portions of Millville, based on the results of a referendum held on March 22, 1864. Portions of the township were taken to form Vineland Borough (May 28, 1880). Other transfers of territory were made to Maurice River Township (1873), to Franklin Township (Gloucester County) (1892, returned in 1897) and from Millville (1934).Landis Township lasted until July 1, 1952, when it was combined with Vineland Borough to form Vineland City, based on the results of a referendum held on February 5, 1952.

Cumberland is a small unincorporated community located within Maurice River Township in Cumberland County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. For statistical purposes, Cumberland and neighboring Hesstown together comprise the Cumberland-Hesstown census-designated place. Cumberland contains only a few hundred households, concentrated primarily on Route 49 and Hesstown/Port Elizabeth-Cumberland Road. The community is bordered by Millville and Port Elizabeth in Cumberland County and Estell Manor in Atlantic County. Cumberland is almost exclusively a residential and rural community with only two retail storefronts and several cottage industries. Most residents commute to nearby Millville, Vineland, Bridgeton, or one of the county's three prisons for employment. The greater part of Cumberland is Peaslee Wildlife Management Area, New Jersey's second-largest game reserve. Cumberland is also the home to Cumberland United Methodist Church and graveyard, a station of the New Jersey Department of Roads and Highways, and the Cumberland Volunteer Fire Company.Like other small communities located within Maurice River Township, Cumberland's exact boundaries are unspecified. It does not possess its own ZIP code and is processes it mail through the 08332 Millville United States Post Office. As a result, it is frequently omitted from maps. For this reason, and due to its remote rural location and lack of retail businesses, many lifelong residents of Cumberland County are unaware of the existence of the community of Cumberland. The exact population of Cumberland is unknown because the United States Census Bureau does not delineate the populations of the various settlements within Maurice River Township. The MRT Assessor's office also confirmed the precise number of homes in Cumberland is unknown. Extensive research of historical deeds and other documents located at the Cumberland County Court House dating back several hundred years would be necessary in order to establish the exact boundaries of the town. The Assessor's office indicated that the Cumberland Volunteer Fire Company services district F-04, which includes Cumberland and portions of Milmay. Based on the number of houses located in that district, the assessor estimated the number of households in Cumberland is 200. The settlement of Cumberland built up around the Cumberland Iron Furnace in the 19th century. Cumberland is located in the within New Jersey's ecologically sensitive watershed along the Manumuskin River. In 1810, at the western border of Cumberland, the Manumuskin River was dammed to create what is now known as the Cumberland Pond. The pond was originally created to provide power for the Cumberland Iron Furnace, which no longer exists. It is now a popular location for fishing, canoeing and bird-watching.

Cumberland-Hesstown is a census-designated place (CDP) located in the northern part of Maurice River Township in Cumberland County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. Consisting of the unincorporated communities of Cumberland and Hesstown, it is in the eastern part of the county. New Jersey Route 49 passes through the CDP, leading northwest 6 miles (10 km) to Millville and southeast 11 miles (18 km) to Tuckahoe. The area was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census.

Manantico Creek, spelled Menantico on federal maps, is an 11.1-mile-long (17.9 km) tributary of the Maurice River in Cumberland County, New Jersey in the United States.Menantico Creek begins in Cumberland County at the confluence of Cedar and Panther Branches, .75 miles (1.2 km) north of Hance Bridge. It flows south/southwest down the eastern forested side of Vineland, through Menantico Lake, then, several miles downstream, meanders through Menantico Ponds. It joins the tidal Maurice River a few miles downstream of Millville approximately 0.5 miles (0.8 km) below Route 47.

Laurel Lake is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) located within Commercial Township, in Cumberland County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. It is part of the Vineland-Millville-Bridgeton Primary Metropolitan Statistical Area for statistical purposes. As of the 2010 United States Census, the CDP's population was 2,989.

Millville Senior High School is a comprehensive community public high school located in Millville, in Cumberland County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey, serving students in ninth thru twelfth grades as part of Millville Public Schools. The school has been accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Elementary and Secondary Schools since 1943.Maurice River Township sends 180 students who attend the district's high schools, as part of a sending/receiving relationship with the Maurice River Township School District. Commercial Township and Lawrence Township also send students to the district's high schools; The sending districts filed suit in 2009, challenging the way in which the Millville district charges for students from outside the district to attend the school. Students from Woodbine had attended the district's high schools as part of a sending/receiving relationship, before the Woodbine district switched to have students attend Middle Township High School starting with freshmen starting school in the 2013–14 school year.As of the 2021–22 school year, the school had an enrollment of 1,112 students and 68.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 16.4:1. There were 549 students (49.4% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 94 (8.5% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.

Millville's First Bank Building is located in Millville, Cumberland County, New Jersey, United States. The building was built in 1857 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on November 20, 1980.

Memorial High School is a comprehensive public high school in Millville in Cumberland County, New Jersey, United States, operated as part of the Millville Public Schools. The school was built in 1925 and used as the Millville High School from 1925-1964 until the Millville Senior High School was built. Currently it is being used as a Junior High School to house the ninth grade and half of the tenth grade. Students from Woodbine attend the district's high schools as part of a sending/receiving relationship. Maurice River Township students also attend the district's high schools, as part of a sending/receiving relationship with the Maurice River Township School District. New Jersey Motorsports Park is a road course "Motorsports Entertainment Complex" located in Millville, Cumberland County, New Jersey, United States. It has hosted races since opening in 2008 and currently hosts a schedule including MotoAmerica Pro Road Racing, 24 Hours of LeMons, American Historic Racing Motorcycle Association, SCCA events, SCCA Pro Racing's F2000 Championship Series. It is not to be confused with the New Jersey Motorsports Park: Field of Dreams, an unaffiliated Motocross facility across the street.

The Wood Mansion House, also known as the David Wood Mansion, is a historic stone house located at 821 Columbia Avenue in the city of Millville in Cumberland County, New Jersey. The oldest section of the house was built c. 1814 by David C. Wood. It was documented by the Historic American Buildings Survey in 1992. The mansion was added to the National Register of Historic Places on December 24, 2013, for its significance in the area of industry from 1814 to 1926.
