Nebotičnik (Slovene: [nɛbɔtiːtʃniːk]; English: the Skyscraper) is a prominent high-rise located in the centre of Ljubljana, Slovenia, and is one of the city's most recognisable landmarks. Its thirteen storeys rise to a height of 70.35 m (231 ft). It was designed by the Slovenian architect Vladimir Šubic for the Pension Institute, the building's investor. Construction began on 19 April 1931 and the building opened on 21 February 1933. It was, upon completion, the tallest building in the Kingdom of Yugoslavia, and the ninth-tallest high-rise in Europe. It was and would remain for some time the tallest residential building in Europe.Predominantly a place of business, the Nebotičnik skyscraper is home to a variety of shops on the ground floor and first storey, and various offices are located on floors two to five. The sixth to ninth floors are private residences. Located on the top three floors are a café, bar and observation deck. The café reopened in July 2010, while the bar and a new restaurant opened on 2 September 2010. Floors nine to thirteen were sold in auction on 12 June 2007 by the Pension Fund Management (KAD) for €2,120,000 to the Australian company Terra Australis. The company hoped to restore the Nebotičnik skyscraper to its former glory.

Nama, or NAMA, is the acronym for Narodni magazin 'national store'. This was a chain of department stores in the former SFRY (Yugoslavia) and the first Slovenian department store. Nama owns three stores in Slovenia today: At 1 Tomšič Street (Slovene: Tomšičeva ulica 1) in Ljubljana. The main facade fronts Slovenian Street (Slovene: Slovenska cesta), across from the Central Post Office. G-Star Raw store in the BTC City (Citypark), Ljubljana At 14 Capuchin Square (Kapucinski trg 14) in Škofja Loka (facing the main bus station).In the past, stores also existed in Žalec, Kočevje, Slovenj Gradec, Ravne na Koroškem, Cerkno and Velenje.

The Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Television (Slovene: Akademija za gledališče, radio, film in televizijo or AGRFT) is an academy of the University of Ljubljana in Ljubljana, Slovenia. It is the only college and graduate school in Slovenia with a similar curriculum. It is composed of three colleges: the College for Theatre and Radio, the College for Film and Television, and College for Screen and Play Writing. In addition, a Center for Theatre and Film Studies is included in the academy. The current dean is Aleš Valič.

Čop Street (Slovene: Čopova ulica) is a major pedestrian thoroughfare in the center of Ljubljana, Slovenia and regarded as the capital's central promenade.

Ljubljana City Theatre (Mestno gledališče ljubljansko - MGL) is the second theatre building and company of Ljubljana after the Ljubljana branch of the Slovene National Theatre.Founded in 1949, Ljubljana City Theatre is the second largest drama theatre in Slovenia. Operating initially on a small, modest stage with a group of enthusiastic actors, over the years the theatre has expanded into a modern theatre company with 37 permanent actors, staging 9 of its own productions and at least 2 co-productions per year. The theatre focuses mainly on modern drama performances and recently on the production of (drama) musicals.

Argentina Park (Slovene: Argentinski park) is the name of a park in the center of Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. Formerly known as Lenin Park, it was renamed in the 1990s to commemorate the friendly relations between Argentina and Slovenia. A part of the park was renamed Park slovenske reformacije (Slovene Reformation Park) in 2000.

The tram system in Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, was originally built in 1901 and was operated until 1958. Slovenia was then part of Austria-Hungary and Yugoslavia, respectively. Work started in 1900 and the tram was put in use after postponements and without a special ceremony on 6 September 1901. The tram system's end came on 20 December 1958, when it was replaced in a ceremony by 12 buses.

The Casino Building (Slovene: Kazina) is a Neoclassical building in the city centre of Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. It stands in the northwestern corner of Congress Square next to the crossroad of Slovene Street (Slovenska cesta) and Šubic Street (Šubičeva ulica). In the past, it was the meeting place of Ljubljana's higher social classes. Today the Casino Building houses several institutions, including the Institute of Modern History, the Archives of Slovenia, the France Marolt Academic Folklore Society, and the Tone Tomšič Academic Choir.

The Monument to the Victims of All Wars (Slovene: Spomenik žrtvam vseh vojn, also Spomenik vsem žrtvam vojn (in z vojnami povezanim žrtvam na območju RS), 'Monument to the Victims of All Wars and Victims Connected with Wars in Slovenia') is a monument in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

The National Assembly (Slovene: Državni zbor Republike Slovenije, pronounced [dəɾˈʒàːwni ˈzbɔ́ɾ ɾɛˈpúːblikɛ slɔˈʋèːnijɛ] or [-ˈzbɔ̀ːɾ-]), is the general representative body of Slovenia. According to the Constitution of Slovenia and the Constitutional Court of Slovenia, it is the major part of the distinctively incompletely bicameral Slovenian Parliament, the legislative branch of the Republic of Slovenia. It has 90 members, elected for a four-year term. 88 members are elected using the party-list proportional representation system and the remaining two, using the Borda count, by the Hungarian and Italian-speaking ethnic minorities, who have an absolute veto in matters concerning their ethnic groups. As of May 2022, the 9th National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia is in session.

Congress Square (Slovene: Kongresni trg) is one of the central squares in Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia.

The Ljubljana Opera House (Slovene: Opera, or ljubljanska operna hiša) is an opera house in Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. The seat of the national opera and ballet company, the Ljubljana Slovene National Theatre Opera and Ballet, it serves as the national opera building of the country. It stands at 1 Župančič Street (Župančičeva 1) between the Slovenian Parliament building, on one hand, and the National Museum and the National Gallery, on the other hand.
