The Reid School is a historic school building in Bend, Oregon, United States. Built in 1914, it was the first modern school building constructed in Bend. The school was named in honor of Ruth Reid, Bend's first school principal. The building remained part of the public school district until 1979, when ownership was transferred to Deschutes County for use as a local history museum. Today, the Reid School is the home of the Deschutes Historical Museum. Because of its unique architecture and importance to the history of Bend, the Reid School is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Deschutes Historical Museum is a museum of local history that is located in the historic Reid School in Bend, Oregon. Opened in 1980 and operated by the Deschutes County Historical Society, the museum's exhibits focus on the area's prehistory, Native American tribes, explorers, pioneers, the logging industry, transportation, and the United States Forest Service. Historic items and antiques are displayed to show home and school life in different periods. The history library is open to the public and a small bookstore features works on Central Oregon history. The museum is closed on Sundays and Mondays.

The Old Bend High School is a historic school building in Bend, Oregon, in the United States. Opened in 1925, the building served as a public high school for 31 years and a junior high school for an additional 22 years before being transitioned in 1979 into its current role as the administrative headquarters for the Bend-La Pine School District. Because of its unique architecture and history, the Old Bend High School is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Deschutes Public Library administrative building, located at 507 N.W. Wall Street in Bend, Oregon, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The architect was Whitehouse & Church of Portland.The building now serves as an administrative headquarters for the Deschutes Public Library System.

The Downtown Bend Library is a library in Bend, Oregon, United States. The two-story, 38,855-square-foot (3,609.7 m2) building was designed by the Portland-based Thomas Hacker and Associates, and opened in 1998.

The Bend Amateur Athletic Club Gymnasium is a historic building in Bend, Oregon, United States. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) in 1983. The building was designed by Lee Arden Thomas and built by Guy H. Wilson. When the Bend School Board established a building committee to develop plans for a new high school in 1923, they followed recommendations from the building committee and accepted the Bend Amateur Athletic Club building from the Bend Holding Company to use as the high school's gymnasium. The school would become Old Bend High School (also listed on the NRHP).

St. Francis School in Bend, Oregon, was designed by Hugh Thompson and planned for the site of the Catholic parish house, adjoining St. Francis Catholic Church. It was budgeted at $45,000 ($35,000 for the building and $10,000 for equipment). The two-story structure was planned to face Lava Road and was to include four classrooms, an assembly hall, and a principal's room on the first floor with two more classrooms and a "large parish hall" on the second floor "to be used by altar societies, the Knights of Columbus and by children's organizations of the parish." The parish house was to be moved to the rear of the house and construction to begin at once in May 1925 for opening during the next school year. A playground was also planned and four "teaching sisters" of the order of St. Joseph expected to come and teach students up to eighth grade. The school was said to be the only one of its kind in Central Oregon, while there was a "parochial academy at Klamath Falls." The new school had been discussed "for a number of years, even before the new Catholic church replaced the old structure." Meanwhile, in 1925, "Bend School" graduated the largest class in its history, 58 students, with an invocation from St. Francis church's Father Luke Sheehan. According to the website of the building's current owners, an addition of two classrooms was made in 1953. An expansion to the school was planned in 1959. The current owner's website also reports on a major parish center expansion in 1968 with gym, stage, meeting rooms, and cafeteria.
