Kensington Social Library

Kensington is a town in Rockingham County, New Hampshire, United States. The population was 2,095 at the 2020 census.

The Union Meetinghouse or Universalist Church is a historic church building at 97 Amesbury Road in Kensington, New Hampshire. Built in 1839–40, it is a well-preserved and little-altered example of a mid-19th century Greek Revival rural church. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2013, and continues to be used for summer services.

The Kensington Town House is the town hall of Kensington, New Hampshire. Located at 95 Amesbury Road (New Hampshire Route 150), the single-story wood-frame building was erected in 1846, and has been its only purpose-built municipal hall. It is a good local example of civic Greek Revival architecture, and its hall has historically hosted town meetings and social functions. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2013.

The North School, also known locally as the Brick School, is a historic one-room schoolhouse at 63 Amesbury Street in Kensington, New Hampshire, United States. Built in 1842, it was the only brick schoolhouse built in the town, and is one of its four surviving 19th-century schools. Of those, it is the best-preserved, and is used as a local history museum. It served the town's educational purposes between 1842 and 1956, and is now a local history museum. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2013.

The Exeter incident or Incident at Exeter was a highly publicized UFO sighting that occurred on September 3, 1965, approximately 5 miles (8 km) south of Exeter, New Hampshire, in the neighboring town of Kensington. Although several separate sightings had been made in the area by numerous witnesses in the weeks leading up to the specific incident, it was the September 3 sighting which eventually became by far the most famous, involving a local teenager and two police officers. In 2011, Skeptical Inquirer offered an explanation of the incident, based on details reported by the eyewitnesses.

The Highland Road Historic District is a historic district encompassing a rural neighborhood in South Hampton, Rockingham County, New Hampshire. The historic farm estates which characterize the neighborhood date to the turn of the 18th century. The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) in 1983.The boundary of the district (according to the map included in the official NRHP nomination) extends from the junction of the Back River and Woodman Road northward along Woodman to the historic Brown Estate on Highland Road, then continues north to the Kensington border (the properties on the north side of Highland Road actually extend into Kensington). From here the boundary runs east to the northern boundaries of the historic Towle Estate, then south again to Towle's Corner on to the Back River again. From here the boundary runs along the river (roughly) westward, back to Woodman Road.The district encompasses eight farm properties, including well-preserved farmhouses dating from c. 1730 to c. 1800. Several of these houses are located on lots that are substantially similar to their 18th-century outlines, providing a significant link to the area's past. Three of the eight farmhouses were built before 1740, and most predate South Hampton's incorporation as a separate community. There is also a small stone foundation on the south side of Highland Road said to belong to an old schoolhouse, which does not appear in the NRHP nomination. The present-day neighborhood within and immediately surrounding the district is colloquially called High Town.

The Woodman Road Historic District of South Hampton, New Hampshire, is a small rural residential historic district consisting of two houses on either side of Woodman Road, a short way north of the state line between New Hampshire and Massachusetts. The Cornwell House, on the west side of the road, is a Greek Revival wood-frame house built c. 1850. Nearly opposite stands the c. 1830 Verge or Woodman House, which is known to have been used as a meeting place for a congregation of Free Will Baptists between 1830 and 1849.The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

The Little River is a 7.2-mile-long (11.6 km) stream largely in the town of Exeter in Rockingham County, New Hampshire, United States. It is a tributary of the Exeter River, part of the Great Bay/Piscataqua River watershed in the New Hampshire Seacoast region. The river should not be confused with the Little River of Brentwood and Kingston, another Exeter River tributary less than 3 miles (5 km) to the west. The Little River rises in the northeastern corner of Brentwood and flows east, quickly entering the town limits of Exeter. The river flows southeast through wetlands and past low hills, passing through Colcord Pond just west of the downtown part of Exeter. The river flows into the Exeter River at the southern edge of the campus of Phillips Exeter Academy.

Virtual Learning Academy Charter School (VLACS) is a nonprofit virtual charter school in Exeter, New Hampshire, the only public online high school in the state. It offers full-time and part-time admissions. The school was founded in 2007 by Steve Kossakoski, who holds a doctorate in education administration from University of New Hampshire. VLACS is licensed by the New Hampshire Board of Education, making it free to students under 21 living in the state. Students living in other states, however, must pay to use it. In 2010 they had 13,432 students enrolled in High and Middle School courses.

The Moses-Kent House is a historic house at 1 Pine Street in Exeter, New Hampshire. Built in 1868 for a prominent local merchant, it is one of the town's finest examples of Victorian residential architecture. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on September 12, 1985.

The Exeter Inn (also known as The Inn at Exeter) is an inn in Exeter, New Hampshire, United States. Located on Front Street on the campus of Phillips Exeter Academy, the Georgian style complex was built in 1932 and mirrors the school's architectural motif. Guests, including parents of many Academy students, enjoy the short walk to historic downtown Exeter.A previous Exeter Inn had been located on Water Street; one of the town's oldest buildings, it was demolished in 1959. The hotel, which frequently hosts events for New Hampshire primary candidates, is home to the Epoch Restaurant and Bar.

The Town Center Historic District encompasses the historic village center of South Hampton, New Hampshire. Centered around the Barnard Green, the town common, on New Hampshire Route 107A, it includes architectural reminders of the town's growth and change over time. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.
