Moanalua Gardens is a 24-acre (97,000 m2) privately owned public park in Honolulu, Hawaii. The park is the site of the Kamehameha V Cottage which used to be the home of Prince Lot Kapuāiwa, who would later become King Kamehameha V. It is also the site of the annual Prince Lot Hula Festival, and the home of a large monkeypod tree that is known in Japan as the Hitachi tree.

Palm Circle or the Pineapple Pentagon, is a historic portion of Fort Shafter in Honolulu, Hawaii. Designated a National Historic Landmark in 1987, it housed the headquarters of the commanding general and his staff, U.S. Army forces, Pacific Ocean Areas, during World War II. By 1944 this command was responsible for the supply and administration of all U.S. Army personnel in the Central and South Pacific, and from 1943 to 1945, carried out logistical planning for the invasions of the Gilberts, Marshalls, Marianas, Guam, Palau, and Okinawa.

Salt Lake is a neighborhood of Honolulu, Hawaii on the island of O‘ahu. KHKA (1500 AM) is a radio station located in Honolulu, Hawaii. The station is owned by Blow Up, LLC and broadcasts a sports talk format. KHKA also retransmits on Oceanic Spectrum digital channel 885 for the entire state of Hawaii. According to the station website, it is officially branded as CBS 1500.

Lagoon Drive station is an under construction Honolulu Rail Transit station in Honolulu, Hawaii. It is part of the third HART segment, scheduled to open in 2031.The Hawaiian Station Name Working Group proposed Hawaiian names for the twelve rail stations on the eastern end of the rail system (stations in the Airport and City Center segments) in April 2019. The proposed name for this station, Āhua, means "hillock" or "mound" and refers to an ancient reef that was dredged to create Keʻehi Lagoon.

Fort Shafter, in Honolulu CDP, City and County of Honolulu, Hawai‘i, is the headquarters of the United States Army Pacific, which commands most Army forces in the Asia-Pacific region with the exception of Korea. Geographically, Fort Shafter extends up the interfluve (ridgeline) between Kalihi and Moanalua valleys, as well as onto the coastal plain (as Shafter Flats) at Māpunapuna. A portion of the area is also known as the Palm Circle Historic District; it is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and has been further designated as a U.S. National Historic Landmark. The Living Art Marine Center was a Marine Science Education Center in the city and county of Honolulu in the state of Hawaii. Developer of Hawaiian Sealife, Richard Xie, founded the Living Art Marine Center in 2010. The Living Art Marine Center focuses on educational programs and interactive activities about marine life and the importance of sustainability within the oceans around the world.Tours of the aquarium must be booked in advance, and are intended for children. At the end of the tour visitors can make gyotaku print shirts or shell necklaces. There is also an area where visitors can touch sea cucumbers, hermit crabs, and other small marine animals.

Tripler Army Medical Center (TAMC) is a major United States Department of Defense medical facility administered by the United States Army in the state of Hawaii. It is the tertiary care hospital in the Pacific Rim, serving local active and retired military personnel along with residents of nine U.S. jurisdictions and forces deployed in more than 40 other countries in the region. Located on the slopes of Moanalua Ridge overlooking the Honolulu neighborhoods of Moanalua and Salt Lake, Tripler Army Medical Center's massive coral pink structure can be seen from any point in the Honolulu District. It also serves as headquarters of the Regional Health Command - Pacific.The main hospital facility is within the Honolulu census-designated place.

Christian Academy is a private, co-educational Christian school in Honolulu, Hawaii. Grades are from pre-K through 12. Christian Academy is accredited by Association of Christian Schools International and has approximately 250 students.

Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church in Honolulu is a parish of the Roman Catholic Church of Hawaii in the United States. It falls under the jurisdiction of the Diocese of Honolulu and its bishop. It was named after John the Baptist, cousin of Jesus and is staffed by diocesan priests and the Dominican Sisters. Located on Omilo Lane in the historic Kalihi district across the street from Fort Shafter, the church once served the Native Hawaiian, Portuguese and Spanish pineapple and sugarcane plantation laborers of the early 1900s. A demographic shift occurred in the 1950s with the introduction of immigrants from the Philippines. The congregation would eventually consist largely of several generations of Filipino Americans. With the current influx of new immigrants from American Samoa, Marshall Islands, Samoa, Tonga and other Pacific Islands, the church has tailored its liturgies to accommodate new parishioners with masses in several other languages other than the English language.

Moanalua is a valley, a stream, an ahupuaʻa, and a residential neighborhood in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi. The valley extends inland from behind Āliapaʻakai crater (Salt Lake) to the crest of the Koʻolau Range. Neighboring areas include Māpunapuna and Salt Lake on the south, Fort Shafter on the east, and Red Hill and Hālawa Valley on the west.
