St Mark's is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Springfield, Tallaght in South Dublin, Ireland. St Marks won the 2005 Dublin Intermediate A Hurling Championship then went on in 2006 to win the Dublin Senior B Hurling Championship. St Mark's hurlers were promoted to AHL3 in 2018. St Mark's fielded teams at AFL4 in football and AHL3 Hurling in 2019. The hurling team won AHL5 and made it to the Dublin Junior A championship final too in 2017. They also got to the Intermediate Hurling championship Final in 2018, another promotion in AHL4 the same year. The club also caters for Juvenile, Minor and Junior teams in Football, Hurling, Camogie and Ladies Football.

Citywest Campus (Irish: Campas Gnó Iarthar na Cathrach) is a stop on the Luas light-rail tram system in Dublin, Ireland. It opened in 2011 as a stop on the extension of the Red Line to Saggart. The stop is located on a section of reserved track next to The Walk in the Citywest development in south-west Dublin which includes a hotel, golf course, shopping centre, and housing.Citywest was still in development when the Luas line was being planned, so the streets were planned around the tram tracks. To the west of the stop, trams travel past the village green on their way to Saggart The stop is served by Dublin Bus routes 65B and 77A. In addition, Citywest Campus operates its own bus route which acts as a feeder service to the Luas, and takes passengers to other areas of the campus.

Citywest (Irish: Iarthar na Cathrach) is a suburban development on the southwestern periphery of Dublin, originally developed as a "business campus." It contains a large hotel, with a convention centre, a small shopping centre and a small but expanding residential element. Citywest is situated in the southwest of the traditional County Dublin, in the jurisdiction of South Dublin County Council; the nearest major suburban centre is Tallaght, while the semi-suburban village of Saggart is adjacent.

Saggart (Irish: Teach Sagard) is a stop on the Luas light-rail tram system in Dublin, Ireland. It opened in 2011 as the terminus of an extension of the Red Line. The stop is located on a section of reserved track next to Citywest Drive near Saggart village in south-west Dublin. It is also close to Whitechurch and Baldonnel. To the north of the stop, a large area has been set aside for a development called Parklands, which is planned to include over 150 houses, two new schools, retail and a large sports area. As of 2020, development has begun onsite.Saggart has a similar layout to Tallaght Luas stop: there are two edge platforms, beyond which the track continues for around 80m where there is a double crossover. One platform is used for arrivals and one for departures. The stop is served by Dublin Bus route 69.

Baldonnel (Irish: Baile Dhónaill, meaning 'homestead of the O'Donnels') is a townland, and industrial/agricultural area near Clondalkin, Tallaght, Lucan, Saggart and Naas, in west County Dublin. It is around 15 km west of Dublin city centre.

Cheeverstown (Irish: Baile an tSíbhrigh) is a stop on the Luas light-rail tram system in Dublin, Ireland. It opened in 2011 as a stop on the extension of the Red Line to Saggart. The stop is located on a section of reserved track at the side of Katherine Tynan Road in the Cheeverstown area of south-west Dublin. The stop has a park and ride facility with 312 spaces.

St Mary's is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Saggart, County Dublin, Ireland. Mary's have won the Dublin Senior Football Championship on one occasion in 1921. Since then they had been relegated to the Dublin Intermediate Football Championship and regained their senior status in 1976 and have remained a Senior club ever since. St Marys currently play in the Dublin AFL Division 3. Five St.Mary's players were on the Dublin team which won the 1942 All Ireland Final against Galway. The five players were Paddy Bermingham, Gerry Fitzgerald, Peter O'Reilly, Caleb Crone and Paddy O'Connor. Caleb Crone also won an All-Ireland medal with Cork in 1945. Two St Mary's players with Laois parentage—Shane Cooke and David Brennan—have played for the Laois senior football team in recent years.

St Francis Football Club is an Irish association football club originally based in The Liberties in Dublin. They played in the League of Ireland First Division from 1996–97 until 2000–01. They currently play in the Leinster Senior League and operate a number of schoolboy and women's teams. The club wear green and white hooped shirts.

Saggart (Irish: Teach Sagard) is a village in South Dublin, Ireland, south west of Dublin city. It lies between the N7 (Naas Road), Rathcoole, Citywest and Tallaght. It is one of the fastest-growing settlements in Ireland, showing a population increase of 46.1% between 2011 and 2016.

Jobstown (; Irish: Ráth Miontáin) is a suburb of Tallaght, and so an outer suburb of Dublin, in the administrative county of South Dublin, Ireland.

Kiltalown House is a late 18th / early 19th century Georgian house located in the townland of Kiltalown (Irish: Coillte Leamháin, meaning 'woods of elm' or 'the church of the elms'') near Jobstown in Tallaght, situated at the foot of the Dublin Mountains in Dublin, Ireland. Since 2005, the house has been used by a drug and alcohol rehabilitation organisation as their local community headquarters. The house was built c.1800 at a time when Tallaght was still just a small village on the outskirts of Dublin city, and the lands around it primarily agricultural. The house went through a number of owners through the decades, with the last private owner being a Mr. W. Jolley in early 1987. Around May 1987, the house came into use in a public capacity, possibly as the result of having been purchased by Dublin County Council, and began to be used as a location for counselling services. It suffered dereliction at some point during this transition of ownership, and was damaged by fire in 1988. The house was repaired by FÁS and subsequently used as a base for unemployed people, and then a holistic therapy centre, before being requisitioned as the headquarters of a local drug and alcohol rehabilitation organisation in July 2005, by whom it is still used today. The surviving demesne lands which surround the house have been repurposed as a public park named Kiltalown Park. In 2002, the house was described by architectural historian Michael Fewer as "one of the few smaller country houses around Tallaght to (have) survive(d) the sweeping developments of the 1970s and 1980s".

South Dublin (Irish: Átha Cliath Theas) is a county in Ireland, within the province of Leinster and the Eastern and Midland Region. It is one of three successor counties to County Dublin, which was disestablished for administrative purposes in 1994. South Dublin County Council is the local authority for the county. The county contains both dense suburbs of Dublin and stretches of unpopulated mountain. In 2016 it had a population of 278,767, making it the third most populous county in the state.
